Simply super

This is an important guitar, also considering that it's the one played by the great Angus.

Apart jokes, the first time I played I had a bad feeling because I was used to play my other Fender Telecaster, and I was really disappointed, also because of the money spent. But already the second time it was great!

The guitar has a wonderful and varied sound. By working on knobs you can really get different sounds to play whatever genre you want.

I'm very happy of this purchase. I gave 3 stars to the features just because it doesn't have the vibrato which sometimes could be useful, but, apart that, I really advice this guitar.

So, what are you still waiting for? Buy and enjoy!

Real rock guitar

This guitar gives a real rock sound. It is a Gibson USA guitar for a reasonable price.

No need to add something else.

Cheers

Gibson Sg

I ordered the guitar knowing it was not in stock and there was a wait for the guitar.

However, the guitar arrived, but the website said and still says (at time of writing) it is out of stock.

The jackplug on the guitar was loose. One side of the nut is poorly finished and the guitar did not have the new nitro finish 'smell' normally associated with Gibson.

I have my doubts if this is a new guitar.

I fixed the jackplug and I ignore the nut. If this guitar had been in a shop I would have refused to buy it.

The only reason I kept it was because the lockdown and the problems with getting new guitars (which I doubt this is a new guitar. Maybe, a returns? Or one they just happened to find at the back of the warehouse when the website says they are out of stock?)

Weight is just less than 7lbs.

Pick ups are good. Good sound. nice neck profile.

No neck dive; but I do use a cotton Levy's strap.

As a long-time Fender player, it took me a long time to purchase a Gibson. I was hesitant about the Quality Control issues which you hear so much about at Gibson. The guitar's construction is so different to a Fender, especially how the neck is set at an angle to the body. However, the wood and construction of this SG are really good, and I really like the sound into my Orange Rocker amps. Overdriven, the bridge pick-up is bright and ballsy. Neck pick-up is darker and better with less drive. Only downside is a small amount of varnish on one part of the neck binding, but it doesn't matter. A great guitar, and I only regret not buying it sooner.

Gibson is back! .. and Wow!

Wasn't expecting such a high quality built instrument and tight sound from a standard.

I own many guitars, including a 96 Les Paul Standard and a 58 Les Paul Historic (VOS), a 2019 Memphis 335 and several custom Fenders and PRS's ... and I was blown away by how well this SG plays and sounds, sounds way beyond it's price point, for sure!

Beauty SG

Nearly forgotten Les Paul family. I couldn’t be more satisfied. That deep rock tone just pouring out👌A sparkling bit of history✨Really responsive volum and tone kontrolls. Neck dive is just a charming piece of history.
