Good choice

This is a very good instrument for the price, and you can expect a really nice tone, together with good tuning. If you are just getting started, an alto instrument is often nice to begin with, as it has a nice range of notes, and then you can build on your collection of instruments.

Goldon Metalophone Alto Model 11157

This is a good piece for kids and young students. It also could be recorded if this is your intention since it has nice clear sound and sustain for it's price range.
