Sturdy & Reliable

I picked these out since I've been wanting something to last. Also, it has been designed by people who know the pitfalls of live situations.

I'm glad I took the plunge with this brand!

Sturdy

for the price you're paying it's really good. Didn't expect to find black plastic rings witch you can replace the (ugly) green ones

Great Mic Stand

I am so happy with this. Fantastic stand for a fantastic price. In fact the best mic stand I have bought yet. Super sturdy and stable. The adjustments are great. Will buy more Gravity stands!!

Useful for miking amps... or maybe even more

I use this stand mainly for miking my guitar amp but at it's maximum height it's also useful as a microphone stand while I'm singing trough a vocoder in a standing position. However, I'm more careful with the balance in that situation since this isn't it's main purpose.

I already have a couple of Gravity stands, and this one is doing it's job perfectly. It is stabile and of a high quality.

The only thing I don't quite like is the main screw (the biggest) for ajusting the angle of the horizontal bow. You need to tight it up all the way to the end which takes time until it's fully secured. This can be a bit of a hassle while positioning the microphone or if you're making just minor changes to the position.

But overall it is a very useful stand for a home studio and it matches my other stands very well.

Overall Good, but I've had Better

I bought this stand to be my main acoustic guitar/instrument mic holder for sitting/standing performances.

I should start by saying that this stand has served its purpose and has done its job well. Now, having said that, there are certainly a few things that have steadily declined in the quality department. The main fastening grip for the telescoping part of the stand began to crack (and fall apart) over time. For some reason this has happened to all of my Gravity mic-stands after a certain period of time. Maybe I've just been unlucky. I was also surprised at how quickly the boom arm began to sag/slip when anything a bit heavier was put on, but I'm sure that this stand wasn't necessarily intended to hold anything heavier than an sm7b at a consistent 45 degree angle.

The stand, however, is very practical/adjustable, has great features, and the overall build quality is not bad at all. In hindsight I maybe would have chosen a competitor, but I've generally been quite satisfied with the brand and am willing to purchase this and other products again.

Solid 8/10 from me.

Good for cabs and snare drums

I wanted this stand because it was the best combination of price, height, and quality. I own several lightweight entry level brands that do an ok job but feel flimsy a lot of the time, but the Gravity MS4222B felt much more solid and reliable. The screws feel very solid and have a nice grip to them, and its height is perfect for snare drums and guitar cabs. It has a nice weight to it, so it will give me better stability.

It is nice, but don't move it too much

It is a nice mic stand and it works well in most situations. However, it is obvious that this stand is a cheaper version of any K&M stand. The screws are loosening pretty quickly and the connection with the boom arm is already relatively loose.

A great stand!

It is sturdy, easy to operate. It seems durable enough, and most importantly it does what it should do; it prevents gravity to take its toll on the microphone. What more do you want? :) Would buy again!

Great mic stand!

I bought this one to mic up drums. The height is very flexible and ideal for bass drum, snare or toms, not so much for overhead mics as it is not tall enough. It has a suitable height for placing mic in front of a guitar cabinet. The stand is not bulky at all yet very sturdy and can also be used also as a mic stand for a singer/speaker as it has some extra length in the boom arm. Quality is superb and if I need another mic stand in future it will definitely be a Gravity one.

The best

One of the best mic stand for drums - I use it for snare. Or you can use it for your guitar amp os course. It's solid!

Excellent

Very good quality! Previously I only knew to buy K&M hardware when I wanted to be sure - Gravity is at least as good. It feels even nicer than my K&M mic stand, the rubberized knobs are comfortable and don't require much force to tighten. Time will tell how it will hold up.

This is a shorter stand, I bought it mostly for my 5-year-old son who likes to sing and play cajon. I can use it myself too when sitting, but I have to adjust the boom carefully so it won't get in the way of playing piano. Also good for miking instruments.

Sturdy, works how it should

My microphones never move and this gives me the confidence to put my most expensive microphones on!

Not my favorite

Cheap enough stand. Good weight. I like the extender latches, but I really don't like the the knob to adjust the angle of the boom arm.
