I'm usually very disappointed by most mic stands but this one has been great so far. I am using it to hold up a very heavy SE reflection shield (SPACE) and a pretty big condenser, at an somewhat pronounced angle, and it has not moved or wobbled once in over a week. The design is sleek and the nobs and levers for raising it higher or using it at an angle are very easy to use and, most importantly, don't budge once they have been tightened. This is probably the best mic stand I've ever used and I have used quite a lot.

I adore this stand! It seems like a lot to spend on a stand, but it really is worth it. I had a really cheap £10 one before which picked up every touch to it and transported the sound into the mic.. Eek! I also needed three hands to change the height, and gripping a stand between your knees while you fiddle with it is not ideal mid-song. This stand has dampeners on the base, so it does not 'boom' when you put it down, (probably shouldn't do that when the mic is in it and on but there you are) and the general handling noise is minimal. Lastly you can change the height with one hand! Ahhh! You will not regret this purchase.

I love this stand for solo singing! Set up time is so quick. The height adjustment is so easy, quick, and flexible. The whole thing feels durable and secure as though it would never lose its balance or slip from its set adjustment. Note: It's not an ideal stand for singing whilst playing an instrument (self-accompanying on guitar/piano/harp/etc) as it's fairly vertical as opposed to the "boom" type of microphone stand which offers even more flexibility but longer set up time. The instrument would get in the way (as a harpist and pianist I've ruled out this stand for those type of gigs and instead use a boom mic stand).

When equipping the studio I chose to go with K&M products for most of the hardware. Their products are always super solid and reliable, as well as very reasonably priced and this microphone stand is no different. The design of my studio is based around grey and black, so when I saw these stands were available in grey I had no choice but to go for them. They have a sort of matte grey finish as opposed to a chrome or polished metal finish, which does look awesome. These stands are no thrills, simple to use, sturdy and well made - exactly what you want in the studio (or live for that matter)!

So yeah i love these stands. They are the perfect combination of heavy but not too heavy so i can still take them around with me without breaking my spine. They go really high while still being really solid and stable. so are perfect for drum overheads, but they also go really low so when you run out of micro booms you can still mic up a Guitar cab or kick drum. the telescoping boom arm is one of the main reasons i got these, just really convenient 1) for unscrewing mic clips and 2) for keeping out the way when you don't need such a long extension. another reason i got these is because the wing nut to adjust the angle is a solid piece rather than some of the other ones which have the sliding T bar thing which rattles around. also you can take the boom section off and just have it as a...

So I was looking for a good pair of mic stands to use as drum OH. Deciding to buy this stand and matching it with the K&M 25530 Adjustable Arm was the best decision I ever made. I mounted the Se electronics SE 4400A microphone and fully extended the arm with the stand at 240cm high, and it was solid and stable. The extra counterweight that is included with the arm definitely did its job BUT this stand is so solid and stable and heavy that will keep being stable with any microphone on top of it. If you are looking for drum OH and you need a really high, solid and really steady mic stand then this stand with the K&M 25530 Adjustable Arm is your best choice at that price.

Great for show use where different people share the same mic and stand. Used for shows such as a panto with radio mics and singers can set them to their own level with one hand. They are very well made with a cast (heavier) base so are stable in use (less likely to fall over when knocked). They're also designed to stack together so (for a straight stand) take up less space in storage or in transport to the gig. I just put a few turns of insulation tape around the set of 4 I have to stop them rubbing against each other - so far no signs of paint scratching off.

This is a great microphone stand with nice features that I haven't seen in other microphone stands. I didn't know before purchasing, but one of my favorite features about this stand is when you lock the boom arm angle, it also locks the entire arm in place. So once you set and lock the boom arm where you like it, it cannot move at all, even if someone accidentally bumps it. The "EZ Clutch" makes it very quick and easy to adjust height. The stand feels very well built, without being excessively heavy. I much prefer stands with "wheel" type locking mechanism on the boom arm (like this one) rather than the more common "handle bar" type. However, I find that the "wheel locks" on this stand are too slippery and not grippy enough as they're made of...

Expensive, but if you looking for the best stand it worth every penny. Build like a tank. If you looking for mic stand for miking bass drum in studio situation, this stand will give you all the options. with few accessories you can mount on one stand for example Solomon SubKick and Shure B52, or you can mount top and bottom snare mics together on this tripod base. All you have to do is to buy few extra attachments from triad orbit (micro M1-R and mini boom arm) witch will bring the final price a bit higher. With the option to mount on top of this base any attachments from tiad orbit you can mount anything you want (cameras, lights, laptop ect...). Basically create your own custom stand. But build quality is top end and the weight of this base will provide stability and option to hooking...

I've needed some sort of stand for my Boss EQ pedal so it's within easy reach without me having to kneel down on the floor to fiddle with the settings. I have tried one of the cheap ones but they couldn't cope with the weight of the tablet holder (which I use as a holder for the EQ 20) and the pedal itself. I've just set up this stand (combined with the counterweight) and it's perfect. The whole thing moves easily and (with the counterweight) it's really well-balanced. The base is really sturdy and it's heavy, as the description states. There's not struggling to tighten anything up to cope with the weight of the pedal and its mount. Everything feels... right. It just works. It's not difficult to move, it's stable, nothing is loose, everything is... it's just right. It wasn't...
