The E-string....

Well, just like every other synthetic gut string I've tried. The G- and D-string delivers volume and provides perfect tension with regards to playability. The A-string is decent enough, but the E-string is just a whisper compared to the others. You NEED to amplify your bass to make anything you play on the E-string audiable. So these strings are fine in electric settings, but you should look elsewhere if you often play pizzicato or slap unamplified.

I haven't tried the bow on these strings so I cannot say anything about how they work for that purpose.

Nice

The low E-String was a bit flappy ( did not have enough tension ) for my tastes, but I do like the feel of the top three strings ; dry, powdery under the fingers but not abrasively dry. Good tone, and the flexibility is surprising - you'd expect to put in a lot more effort and wait longer for the string to return. SO you can play fast if you like ( although the soft sound does not really support it) they have definitely encouraged m to play more bass, and I look forward to recording. Work on getting that E-String a little tighter, guys!
