me gusta mucho este modelo, pero note algo diferente en esta versión, el mástil es demasiado grueso, no se siente tan cómodo, deberían mejorar el acabado, por lo demás es perfecto...!!!

A dream...

For a Beatles fan like me, who learned to play instruments just to play their songs, this Höfner Bass is my last new joy... I play guitars, piano and keyboards, but so much I was longing for this symbol of my youth and not only. Sound and esthetic are great, even if it’s a low price compared with the top models, I love it with no doubt. The beautiful shade of sunburst colour is something that I often admire without need to play, but when I play it it’s a dream revival. I love it, just like I love the Beatles.

You Will Need to Buy a Set of Flatwounds

I didn't believe other people at first, but the strings that come on these basses are literally the worst strings i've ever played on anything so I bought some Pyramid Flatwounds and now it plays and sounds great. It is the only good quality bass that will last at this price point, yes the nut is not great and the bridge is very hard to adjust, but over time you can upgrade it. It really has potential to be a great bass with simple upgrades, would recommend to anyone as it will last as long as you want it too, you really can't go wrong!

Authentic Beatles sound

This bass is great value for money. It is well made and played really well straight out of the box. It required a set up like any new instrument. The strings it came with are not very nice, but I put flat wounds on it to get the Macca tone. Its fantastic.

Pros.. authentic 60s sound.

Very light to hold.

Comfortable to play.

Great fun and visually impressive.

Cons.. the tuners feel a bit weak, but are fine.

Fret board was very dry and needed oil.

Overall im very impressed and at such a great price, its well worth buying one.

Good bang for the buck

A bit poor setup but OK build quality, comfortable neck, does the job. For the price... it's great.

Great Value

If you want a Hofner Bass and don't want to spend too much money then this is perfect. It is a good instrument, beautiful finish, good sound and authentic looking.

For a good sound you will have to swap the strings; as the ones it comes with are poor; but that is OK. I recommend the Pyramid Gold 040- 100 short scale; (amazing strings.)

Whilst you are at it it is worth oiling the neck with some lemon oil as it is very dry; and not as smooth as it could be.

It may take a little setting up, but this is a lovely instrument.
