Amazing bass for start

I never had bass in my life and this is my first one. I love this bass. Quality is amazing, bass is solid and already came tuned, plug and play. For that price this is amazing bass.

Great for starters!

In short: this bass + a great set of strings = amazing!

Bought this bass very impulsively, not researching a lot with no prior knowledge to any string instrument. Only played sax for a few years before.

I have now had this bass for almost 2 years and I am NOT disappointed. It really got me into music.

I don't really remember the strings that were on it, but currently I've got some Ernie Balls on it and everyone that has played my bass has said that I really got some great bang for this buck!

Would definitely buy this again

my 1st bass

This is my first bass guitar. I think it is the best !! I tried to play the bass of my friends. Expensive bass. Maybe I was just lucky and got a special one, one in 1000, but it sounds the best !!!

This bass delivers an good punch with active microphones.

This bass delivers an punch with their active microphones, but the passive mode isn't too sloppy without some batteries in the compartment.

The neck is good, even with sweaty hands and the full neck is playable all the time.

The active mode sound is loud and clear, and the passive mode is rich and meaty with some adjusting on the balance, bass and treble knobs.

The setup of this bass is easy. Just use some steelwool on the frets if you want some easy shredding on the bass, and oil the neck with some lemon oil once in a while for easy maintenance of this bass.

Great Bass for the money

Nicely set up straight from the box - literally plug and play. Good sound, battery already fitted for the bass boost. Nice, low action, no issues with sharp fret edges. I've just ordered the fretless version!

My first bass.

I have bought this bass a few weeks ago. I just have to say that i am impressed. For this money a bass with active and pasive? It has come without fret buzz or other malfunctions. The sound is pretty good. The only thing are the cords. It comes with pretty bad cords. Everything is good.

Great for a beginner

I've just started and this is my first bass. Lovely looking instrument and was ready to play straight out of the box. I used the tuner that I also bought just in case, but all strings were tuned up perfectly. Delighted with it. Didn't include a battery so I had to buy that separately, but given how cheap this was I can't complain about that!

Not my favorite but still a great bass

I got this one because I was curious more so than anything else.

The good: finish is excellent, and it's a very nice looking bass guitar. It's lightweight and very well balanced. Passive mode is great, and you can adjust bass and treble in passive as well as active. Came setup perfectly out of the box, all it needed was to be tuned.

The not so good: Active mode doesn't do much extra. Tone is so-so (but still above what you'd expect at this price range), but you can get a decent variety of sounds with the controls. I'd replace the pickups and preamp personally, but you can get by just fine with what's onboard. Fit and finish aren't fantastic...at first I thougth the neck was out of alignment with the body, but it turns out it was just a fit and finish thing. Tuners are so-so.

Definitely worthwhile as a first bass, backup bass, or an upgrade platform. I wouldn't rank it up there with the JB series, PJ series, or TB series but you still get excellen bang for the buck here.

Not only the prize is the deal

I bought this one because I am a guitarist and I need bass to record demos in my home studio. As an owner of two guitars I was kind of skeptic what I will get for a prize this low. Anyway the bass is great and features a lot of cool stuff. It looks very good and feels great. The quality is much much more than you can expect for the prize. The tunners are good, the knobs are perfect. The pickups sound good through the software I use. The neck is accessable and it's not so thick so it's good if you are with short fingers. Great bass for beginners or a studio instrument.

Great for the money

This bass is really good for the money and perfect for the beginner bassist. Only con is that is has quite a lot of fret buzz out of the box but that shouldnt be a big problem for a beginner.
