Harley Benton BigTone Trem White Reviews
It's beautiful and functional but a bit heavy, don't be surprised. The pick ups aren't the best for my taste.
It has everything you could want at a steal of a price. So long as you are able to do a setup you're good to go. Also if you aren't able to, nows the time to learn. Having a lower price sure justifies doing the work yourself as well. Happy strumming!
Big tone, big value
Impressive build quality and finish, jazz, blues and indie tones are easily dialled in.
Fittings are good and overall it's good value for money
Can't believe how much I like this guitar
I was expecting a nice room decoration; but it plays really well and sounds better than expected.
Great value for the money.
Wonderful guitar
Everything out the box was perfect
Love it
Beginner player, guitar sounds lovely
Was expected a better quality overall but I am ok with it
I was a bit disappointed from this guitar while it was very beautiful it was weird when you looked closely.the neck pickup is put not straight on the body. The guitar arrived with a small hit on back of the neck which was painted over.i guess was a factory accident. The bridge is not ready to play.you need to remove the cloth .it is playlable and easy to play.has a nice feel.it produces nice acoustic and plugged in tone.jazz tone for sure.I think the price should be less for the quality of this guitar though.
Great Learning Guitar
Could use a little design adjustment with the bridge but nothing major.
Great quality build!
Get this guitar
I bought this guitar internationally and had it shipped to Australia while I was there for a year for work.
I played it every day and one of my biggest regrets is that I had to leave it there. Considering buying another now I'm back in the UK. It's a beautiful guitar and you won't regret buying it for a moment
Big tone white vintage trem
If you want a guitar like this straight out of the box amazing quality and build is great I've tried the G guitars and actually not as good and the B trem works so well you will not be disappointed if you get this guitar it's great 5 stars out of four 😀
Best Guitar
This is my 2nd HB guitar and my favourite so far. The body is beautifully made and it is a thing of beauty.
Could of , would of , should of
To start off my previous experience with Harley Benton Guitars has been nothing but amazing, My Jumbo and 12 string acoustic have been nothing but amazing. seriously the quality on those acoustics is incredible.
Now lets get to this guitar, First off the guitar is very beautiful Ived gotten so many compliments , I cant complain about the finish on the guitar but..thats pretty much were the good things end.
1. The build quality is just bad on my guitar , theres is so much glue left on the inside of the guitar it really paints a different picture as to my previous experiences.
2. Never complained about sharp frets before but unfortunately with this one ived already cut myself a couple times.
3. The neck angle is off on my guitar the lower E string just doesnt fall on the pick up, I messed around with the floating bridge and I sort off made it work but still.
4. Probably the most annoying you cant use the Tremolo and if you do well you are going to have to tune it because it does not hold tune at all.
I really want to Love this guitar but wow they really dropped the ball on this one, believe me ived tried to make it work I even bought a “String butler” for the tuning issue but it only does so much. If you have read this far then buyer beware at least this model, as stated before my previous experience has been nothing but great with the acoustics but so far the electrics have been a little disappointing.
Amazing
Sounds amazing plays amazing and looks amazing
Super guitar
This review will be very short because all I can say is that this guitar is very very cool!
It looks like very expensive Gretch! All white with gold! Really impressive!
You may think it sounds not bad but... it actually sounds super cool! I don't know how they made this low price guitar sound SO good but it does! I played it in the bar the day I received it. It was all fixed well with D'addario strings onboard. With my Hughes&Kettner pedal it sounded just fantastic! Overdrive and distortion made it sound even better!
Now my dream about buying Gretch is fulfilled with this guitar!
I'm happy with it and I recommend everyone who loves this Gretch sound to buy this very guitar!
WOW - Top Quality - Nostalgic
Overall, excellent build quality, good finish
I am very happy with it, playable and enjoyable.
I am considering replacing the pickups, because:
- annoying hum (almost disappears when touching the strings)
- high E string suspiciously low volume compared to the other strings
As good as Epi Royale (Emperor swingster)
Very surprised at the quality if this guitar, have had the Royale which this copies, and the feel is very similar. Good heft to it, it not a lightweight item and solid. Very few guitars I miss, and this one and the original are two of them.
Great Guitar
I bought the guitar and I love it. the tone is incredible. The binding is nice.
Masterpiece
I love sitting and looking at this beautiful guitar. Plays very well for the price and looks great on a stand in a room.
Awesome jazz box
I bought this from Canada because it was a beauty and steal of a deal. The tremolo held tube if you string it above the roller bar. I was very impressed, this was just as good as a golden falcon at a tenth of the price! I found that the body was too thick for me to see the neck as I am a big man ( belly wise !lol). That was my only con about this guitar and it is not a big one. This is a great guitar, you want early Cult sound then this is where it starts!
Ok for the price but inspect thoroughly.
Used for messing about at home, nothing serious. OK looks (+), but the build quality is poor as the strings lay a bit too much towards the treble side. The result is that the 2 bass strings do not fall directly over their pickup poles. It's as if the neck is slightly off center. No amount of bridge positioning would correct this issue as the bridge floats on the body and over time would position itself back to what it thinks is normal. I would have to reposition the tremolo to correct. Some of the internal wiring had masking tape around the connections which makes me think this guitar was previously returned and then reissued. I should have returned it.
Appearance is flawless! A very beautiful and well made guitar. But! SOUND is very bad! My fender squier guitar sounds better. Disappointed.
