Harley Benton CLA-15CE Flame Koa Exotic 5-stars Reviews
A truly beautiful guitar
This guitar looks great, somehow sounds better than it looks, and is an utter joy to play. I love it!
Great guitar overall
I've had this guitar for a few weeks now.
It's very fun to play, the setup was great out of the box, even when tuned half a step down.
Low action all across the fretboard without any buzz.
The fret ends are rolled off very smoothly, you can't feel them at all while playing and moving around the neck.
The shape of the body fits very nicely when playing sitting down, and the smooth matte finish is fantastic.
The sound is very clean and balanced.
The highs are present and pleasing, the lows aren't rumbly or overbearing.
There's no harshness or weird resonances.
It sounds great with any style of playing, both with a pick and fingers.
The guitar looks absolutely beautiful, couldn't find any aesthetic flaws.
The top and back I got have a very nice flame to them, and the rest of the wood looks great too.
The binding and rosette are flawless.
The pickup sounds very typical, nothing special.
The onboard digital tuner is nice to have but isn't very accurate, at least not for serious recordings.
The only issue I have with the guitar is the tuning keys.
They do stay in tune pretty well, but they feel cheap and they have weird "dead zones" when turning them.
It's not difficult to tune by any means but it's something you'll notice every time you tune it.
Overall this guitar plays super comfortably, sounds great, and looks stunning, highly recommended.
If you don't care much about the flamed wood, you can go for the normal koa model and get pretty much the same guitar for a lot less money.
