Wow

I bought these to try, since they were part of a guitar order, delivery was free. Not sure why I didn't expect much from these, but I have been using daddario XL and NYXLs for a few years. Don't get me wrong, the XL and NYXL are excellent strings, but I will now do some bulk ordering of these next time I make a purchase that will allow free shipping. Very very nice strings and they last really well. Cost prohibitive for me in the UK to just buy a few packets, but a bargain if part of a bigger order.

Very Impressive for the Price

Coated strings are usually twice the price of normal strings, so when I saw these I wasn't expecting much. I thought I'd give them a try, though. If they weren't any good I'd lost next to nothing.

As it turns out, these are actually very good strings and the coating does give them a significantly increased life span. Don't get me wrong, these are no Elixirs, but they're less than half the price, perform really well and sound bright and clear. I will be buying more.

Great for the price.

Great value strings for much less than branded strings, decent sound, I can't attest to durability yet, but the string look and feel well made.

for this price the quality is insanely good!

Works perfectly for recording

Great!

Feel nice, last long, don't rust. The only downside is the fact that you don't get that really bright punchy tone of other new strings.

A great set of strings

I am a person with very sweaty hands, so coated strings are a must for me. Not coated ones last me a week and are completely black in a month. I have been using Elixirs for many years, but i was looking for a budget option and honestly, these are fine. They are not as good as Elixirs but they last me 3 months without any corrosion. They feel fine to play, a bit more smooth than standart non coated ones, but not as smooth as Elixirs.

To cut it short : 75% performance of Elixirs for 30% of the price

Super affordable, reliable, great bang for buck

I use these strings for my entry level electric guitars. I have been using high-end, expensive branded guitar strings for my 'Better' guitars over the last decade. So, naturally I was a bit skeptic before trying these string, but I am glad that I did. Though its tonal freshness(!) decreases after a couple of heavy sessions like literally every other string (thanks to physics, DUH!), I would say that, for its price point, it is outstanding!

If you have never tried it, please give it a shot and you would understand what I mean! Best Wishes.

They sound great

I was using Elixirs up until now, but these HB strings are cheaper and sound great. They seem to last as long as Elixirs too

Amazing for the price!

These strings feel good, sound good when you put them on, keep sounding good for a long time and are ludicrously cheap compared to branded coated strings.

I got one set when I made an order to try them. (Mitigates the shipping cost). The next order included a dozen sets, I liked them that much!!

Bottom line, you won't regret buying these!!

Cool sounding strings

I fitted these to a Strat type guitar and they are really nice. They dont sound thin and clicky like Elixor, but have a nice tone albeit slightly thinner than a conventional string.

These are ALAZING....They last for a YEAR (just dry them off)?.I've NEVER BROKEN ANY.They DO NOT RUST.....and they are ONE THIRD the cost of ELIXIRS (Which I LOVE) BUT 22.50 Vs. 6.99?????, Stunning?.

And when I discovered Elixers I was BLOWN AWAY.....When tou have 20 PLUS guitars RUST DOES BECOME AN ISSUE.....Unless you are Mike Campbell or Joe Perry or somebody who has FULL TIME guy watching over you're BABYS. And take my word for it......HB's DO NOT RUST ,Carrode oe any of THAT BS.....Wipe 'em off & you're GOOD TO GO...?.Sorry D'Adderio Erine & Gibbo?.It's ben wonderfuil... But there's the DOOR...

Forget the rest these are the best!

For the money!

Only kidding, these are actually really good strings I have slightly corrosive sweat which is a pain if I forget to wash my Hands before playing my guitar.

Branded strings are expensive and to be honest probably made in the same factory as these strings.

They have a clean fresh crisp tone bend well and stay in tune when installing the they don't take too long to stretch.

All in all a good purchase and so many deals to be made on multi buys.

I really like these strings as they are really affordable and have the good quality too.

I don't change my strings much as I am on a limited budget so these strings will last longer and perfect for me.

Finally strings that don't get rusty after a week

If you suffer from the same hand sweeting problem as I do while playing these are perfect for you, they stay bright for at least 3 times as long as a regular/un-coated string set, and the high E string won't rust after two weeks, they are simply great and last long which is a very valuable aspect if you either don't have that much money to spend on strings every other month or don't play that often, on recordings they do sound better then the regular harley benton strings and the fender 009 set, good luck trying to find another 009 set that doesn't get the high E string rusted after playing with my sweety hands. I will stick to these strings

Great budget end coated string

Purchased for a Harley Benton ST-62 ST style guitar that only gets played once or twice a week at home and for the odd recording project.

Strings are nicely boxed in individual plastic wrappers and don't look like budget end strings.

After installing, the strings settled in quickly and kept stable tuning, initially they feel a little sticky to the touch but this became less noticeable after a few hours of playing, they also aren't quite as bright/twangy as a new set of strings usually are when first installed.

These strings do last longer than standard strings and resist tarnishing and buildup better too.

I'd recommend for anyone looking for a cheaper coated string for a backup instrument that isn't played often or just wants a budget string that doesn't need to be changed as often.

Astonishing value!

I practise pretty much non stop and my hands sweat a corrosive acid that destroys strings. Im a pro musician and I've played for more than 30 years, so I've been through all the brands, including the more expensive coated ones and these are as good if not better than any of the rest and for 3 quid!

I can three weeks out a set of these on my main practice guitars. When the coating goes you'll know about it - the corrosion will start pitting the string, but even as that starts the string will still intonate accurately.

If you're looking at buying your regular Slinkys get these instead.

If your looking at Elixirs or D'Addarios these are just as good for a quarter of the price.

I know I'm gushing, but seriously , I'm amazed.
