Harley Benton Coated Phosphor 011 Anti Rust Reviews
To dull sounding for me.
Bought these to try something else. I?m dissapointed with the sound of these strings. To me their sound is dull and quiet. In fact just like a set of old strings.
Last string broke in two days
I was excited to try the coated acoustic strings as someone had given me the electric coated ones and I was blown away. But the excitment was short lived as the high string broke in two days after not even some very hard playing. I string my guitars with the over and under method and it has never given me any problems on any other guitars or string sets. I do not recommend them. And it's a shame because they otherwise sound pretty good. The really good deal is in the electric ones though!
Delighted. Great strings, great price
I'm and intermediate player and very happy with my purchase.

Perfect and cheaper
cheaper than other branded coated strings, similar quality - good work!
Nice strings
I've always used Martin Phosphor Bronze, mainly, if not totally down to habit. I kept thinking I should try something different. I bought some of these, and some for electric, and so far they seem pretty good. They feel good, and they sound pretty good to my ears, and that's all I can really go on. The guitar I use the on ids a good, all solid woods acoustic, so it's probably going to sound decent, anyway, but I didn't hear any drop in the quality, with these strings on, as opposed to the others..
these or the real deal?
not better then the elixer but damned it's close
so for the money I take these and smile!!
Great strings for a great price
I use to use Elixir strings for years, my sweat is very corrosive and for a long time that was the only way to go. I tried these last summer and I must say they work great for me. Nice warm tone, plenty of spank and punch, long life and no corrosion - who could ask for more at such a great price. Now these are mine favourite strings for acoustic - for fingerstyle, slide or strumming - these work great. After 30 years of playing a guitar I have finally found the strings that do not cost that much but still have everything I need. I am currently experimenting with different gauges and again I have decided to use Harley Benton strings for my acoustic guitars - you just can`t beat the quality/price ratio. I actually liked a slightly warmer tone these have compared to Elixir, they are warm and not so bright as acoustic elixir - just the way I like it. If you are looking for a great quality at a resonable price these are the strings for you. I will surely buy more in the future - as an active musician I always need reliable and good sounding strings for my guitars.
Great strings for beginners to advanced
I needed to buy some guitar strings for a young guitar student and decided to bulk buy some strings while he is still learning and also teach him to restring his guitar.
I was quite impressed by the sound of them, did what they were suppose to and sounded great.
Before a recording one day I ran out of strings and used these on a maton and still sounded great!
Bargain
These strings were my first Harley Benton strings and my first set of coated strings. It will not be the last time for either.
I have used these on a small body and a dreadnought, both with spruce tops. In both cases the tone was as good as I have experienced with any other string.
Great sound and durability while also being a joy playing.
Worth at least double the cost!
I bought these to try, as I generally use coated strings on my acoustics as they last longer and sound much brighter.
I wasn't expecting much, but they've been on for over a month now with daily play and they still sound bright and sharp as when they were restrung.
Definitely worth the cost and I'll be using them again.
I'd highly recommend them.
No cons at all to these, all Pros
EXCELLENT
REAL VALUE FOR MONEY HERTE.WONT LET YOU DOWN AND BETTER THAN SOME OTHER FAR MORE EXPENSIVE ONES I HAVE USED.
Review of Harley Benton Coated Phosphor 011 Acoustic guitar strings
Harley Benton Coated Phosphor 011 Acoustic guitar strings are cheap but very decent coated strings Ive had a set on for at least 2 months and they are still not rusty yet so if you want more or less the same but cheaper buy these.
Great sound - long lasting
I use many name brands, and the Harley Benton coated ones last the longest and give a good tone, they do not corrode as fast as other strings for sure. Great for finger style, picking or even slide,
