Harley Benton Coated Phosphor 012 Anti Rust 5-stars Reviews
Great product for the price
After a few days it lost it's clarity comparing to Daddario. Still a good budget string set to keep on your bag.
Great strings
For the price these strings are really excellent. It was a nice surprise. They sound bright and pleasing, and I really enjoy playing them. They still sound good to me after a few months of use, of course, they are not as bright sounding as new ones. I would recommend them.
Quite simply a good string!
Forgot about these on two guitars, and didn't change them for 4+ years. I know - that's not OK and the guitar Gods will punish me.
But lo and behold. They may have lost some crispness, but they've been played on and off, intonation is spot on still and none gave out. That's weird. And cool.
For the price unbeatable
I put these strings on my Eastman E2OM and the sound is wonderfull. In the past years I tried many brands and to be hounest: I don't hear a sufficient difference between these ' cheapies' and the ' real thing' wich starts with an E or an M or a D'. It is all more or less the same. At least imho. Sometimes I think they come all out of the same factory with a different cover. I would recommend to try these strings on your acoustic. Try not to judge these strings by it's brand or price but openminded. I think you will be surprised. When they keep up souding as good as they do now and last for long I think this will be my choice.
Great quality
I really like these strings.
Great price and quality.
Will definitely buy again
Good quality string according to the price
good quality string, using it for my primary acoustic guitar
People say that you can hear the sound difference between these and one of the major brands. I think I can back to back but they last a fair while sound good to my ears and are cheap.
I think most of it is string snobbery I don't buy others now just these
Please donât compare to Elixir, compare to Dâaddario
D’addario and Elixir strings have completely different characters, Elixir is very bright, D’addario is more balanced. If you are looking for very bright, definitely go with Elixir. But D’addario is more suited for a warm sound. Which brings me to these strings. I bought a guitar that had D’addario exp16 coated on them and was enamored with the warm sound, just stunning for my fingerstyle playing. After the strings died I was kind of in a crisis because the d’addario exp 16 line was finished, and the new xt line was getting mixed feedback. I had never tried Elixir and put them on. The warmth of the instrument was gone totally. Before that I never thought different strings could make such a difference in sound. It was night and day. I’ve bought the d’addario strings now and they are one the way, but I still had some .12 coated strings from harley benton lying around. I put them on, and I was stunned. They sound ALMOST similar to the 3x as expensive d’addario exp16. How is this possible? How does harley benton do it?? Witchcraft, I say! Anyhow, my instrument was singing beautifully again and I am happy!
best for this price
nice strings for the price.
Actually awesome strings
Expected way less quality for that price
I play them for like 2 month, still sounds good
supergood
the stars say everything ... I'm sure I'll order more ... actually ... hahaha ... I'm just going to order them again
Great Strings and Amazing Value
Really long lasting strings that do exactly what the bigger dearer brands do at a fraction of the cost. Owning a few guitars and only playing some every now and then, I find these strings might last me 6-8 months as they don't rott away on the guitar just because its being played now and then. Great product
Excellent Alternative
I'm a long term user of the most expensive coated strings and had grown very used to their sound on my guitar. I am also very discerning about the sound I like, it has been many years since I've just put strings on and carried on. I listen very, very carefully to my sound. I did some research and decided at the price these string were selling at, they'd be worth a tryout.
They really are excellent strings in their own right. I am unable to detect any difference in the quality of sound from my guitar. They settled down very nicely after a couple of hours play.. A good six weeks down the line and I'm still happy with the sound and I've had no breakages. My conclusion is, that for me, they are easily as good as the other hexagonal core coated strings packaged by a different company. I will be absolutely happy to place a further bulk order.
Great Tone
Came as part of a bundle deal when i bought am acoustice. These last a long time and have a great tone
to coat or not to coat
I use these for my students, these are not better then elixer but come close and will save you lots of money!! great product
good wires for the buck
Good set of wires for the buck. Plenty of tone out of this set of strings for not a lot of coin shelled out.
The strings sound good. I dont have any problem with this product.
Excellent strings.
I first bought a set of these on a whim, adding on to an existing order and was blown away by the quality for such a rediculous price. I put these on a Harley Benton cld-41 and they are perfectly matched.
These strings last for ages and rival the big name brands for tone and sustain. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again or any of the other Harley Benton range of strings.
If you are in the uk, like I am, then buy a few sets of these to make the shipping worth your while. You won't be disappointed.
Great value strings
A great value set of coated acoustic strings.
Ideal for people who like to change their strings regularly & don't want to spend a small fortune on the big brands.
I put a set of these onto a guitar that had a name brand set on previously & I couldn't hear any noticeable loss in tone.
Amazing for the price!!
These are not the very best coated strings out there, but they are quite decent and when you factor in the price, they are amazing. I usually use Elixir strings if I go coated, but the price has gotten to the point where I resent having to pay nearly £15 for a set, so I was willing to give these a go.
They remind me of D'Addario EXP strings, with a nice tone, and a nice feel. Not as slippery as Elixirs, but nicer feeling than Cleartone. Considering they costs less than an average package of uncoated strings, if these last even a tiny bit longer than uncoated they will be well worth the money. I will be back for more - these are so cheap that if you buy a few at a time, even factoring in the postage to the UK, these are a bargain.
Nice budget strings
Just changed my strings on the guitar I use at home and put these on. For the price they are very nice. Smooth feel and a nice bright tone. I will try them next on my stage guitar.
