Harley Benton CST-24T Paradise Flame Reviews
Excellent guitar out of the box
The guitar plays and sounds great after a little tuning.
for this price a very good gitarre!
beside Gibson Les Paul Standard and Fender Stratocaster in original, this is a very good gitarre for a beginner and maybe even further! Unfortunately my son stopped playing. Hope he will start one nice day again and will appriciate this piece of gitarre.
It is a 6 string guitar.
Mucha bang for the buck. I be liking it. That's not what she said. It is what I said. Although I did not have much luck with the guitar staying in tune initillay.
No matter what I did initially I could not get the damn thing to stay in tune with the tremolo properly set up. After playing with it for awhile I finally discovered what the problem was. To fix it I marked where the front of the tremolo sits on the body & carefully chiseled & sanded the area down underneath where the 6 screws sit so that the tremolo sits on a flat surface. The tremolo block was rocking side to side on the curved top of the body underneath. Now it works properly & stays in tune.
None response to email
Broke a tuner in the first month. Would not usually be a big deal except neither my personal sales person assigned to the account or a general email address have been replied to in 5 days. The issue, invoice and contact info included in email. Also don't like the fret ends, but this I can fix.
Great guitar
This is really a great guitar. It needed a little intonation, but every guitar need that. Even those expensive high end guitars. I adjusted the neck, but only for my own needs. The only negative was that the vibarm that came with it wasn`t for that guitar... But for me that really didnt matter. I change the hole saddle PRS custom parts a had. So I guess the saddle cost more than the guitar :) but it was worth it... Its a great guitar :)
what a great surprise
After watching several videos on youtube talking about this guitar i decided to give it a try. What a great surprise. A part of looking great, it does play amazing. the neck feels good and i really like the frets height. Pups output is great. I had to spend sometime to adjust the tremolo but is ok. im already thinking of buying another model. Keep the good quality guys
Amazing guitar for the price

i play Bass in a classic rock geezer garage band, fantastic guitar for the money very please it only took 1 week after order was placed to the USA from Germany amazing my fist purchase....very surprised minimal setup was needed action a little high for my taste but easy fix..color sachem is fantastic much nicer than photo on your site, will be ordering a P bass and case, wireless, and other misc hope the P bass is of equal quality, great product very pleased, the other members in the band tried it and were amazed the coil split is a great add on sounds fantastic....will order again very soon....my buddies are now looking at items on your web site..very pleased and surprised by the quality of the ax thanks again...if i get a card how dose that work with US dollars just wondering will that be an issue?
Great sounding guitar.
Very nice playing and sounding guitar. Overall, the finish work is very well done. A couple of nits, the neck pickup housing appears to be too big for the routed hole on the guitar, so the housing is bent where it was "smooshed" into the too small hole. also, while the veneer looks pretty good, the split between the two veneer pieces is way off center. Since it is a veneer, one would think that the split could be symmetrical. Overall though, the finish is very nice and the binding looks to be particularly well done. The Roswell pickups sound great and the neck is very well shaped and plays fast. The guitar was very well set up out of the box and the string "action" was very nice. Frets were well dressed- no sharp edges. I like the guitar and it is a great value. Not perfect, but very good in all significant areas.
Amazing Guitar for the money
This thing plays GREAT. The only thing that is a bit annoying are the fret ends, they could be smoothed down. But for the money I love this guitar. I put some Seymour Duncans in it. A JB and a 59 WOW it sounds great. The Roswells that came with it arent bad either I put them in another guitar and they sound great for metal. Overall you cant beat the features of this guitar for the money and the quailty is pretty good as well it plays better than my 1300.00 dollar LTD deluxe and it plays better than my PRS SE 245.
Some Things About This Guitar Even Better Than My Original US-made PRS
This is one of the nicest guitars I have ever had. Do not get fooled by the price. Not everything cheap is bad, and vice versa.
I'e had appr. 20 guitars up to now. Even when compared with my original PRS Tremonti (USA), even though the 2 axes are each a bit different in style (pickups, wood, number of frets, and general aim), this guitar shines in several compartments - most notably, it is easier to play on higher frets, and there is some (German-designed, I suppose) precision about the way the whole guitar is made and put together that you won't find with even with the original.
Now, don't get me wrong, you still get the feeling you're playing a Vietnam-made guitar, as opposed to the all-American feeling of playing a US-made PRS (hard to put to words..). Plus, if you do not swap the pickups, the sound you get out of this one is of course not on par with the original PRS guitars equipped with the original PRS pickups.
Yet still, if you DO change the pickups, set the guitar up a bit in terms of action and tuning (even though it comes decently set up out of the box), and maybe even change some hardware like: tremolo, nut, bridge, and tuners, the guitar is AMAZING! I would value it at least twice the price it costs.
I use this guitar as my main goto axe right now.
The only thing I did not like about this axe is the lacquer, expecially when inspected from up close. It looks a bit cheap. if you look closer. Plus, the tremolo is unusable, at least for me (the original PRS trem is absolutely amazing, this one gets out of tune quickly), so you either play without the trem, or you swap it. Also, the flame is a bit less pronounced and somehow "greyish" and "faded" than what you would get with the original PRS.
Yet still, these are minor flaws only. The general feeling when you are playing this guitar (after setup and at least with swapped pickups) is excellent.
Oh, and your fans won't see the "cheapness" of the lacquer as long as they don't get at least 1 meter near you playing, or closer. From a little farther, the guitar looks as good as the original it is modelled after...
SUMMARY - this is the best bang for the buck you can get when looking for a PRS-style guitar. If you're looking for a PRS 24 clone, I strongly recommend it.
Oh that was a dissapointment. After hearing alot of super rewievs and hyped youtubers I've bought this aaaaaand that is a bad piece of gear. Spend some hours seting it up, crowning frets, changing nut, setting up intonation and tremolo bridge. Played for couple of days and had to start every setup again. I've never had such a bad instrument from the box. The only thing was good was it's look. The finish and body top is great. This is a nice peace of gear that you can put on the wall, but never play it :)
Amazing value and a joy to play
This guitar looks great and works very well. It has powerful humbuckers that really push the amp overdrive but also clean up very nicely - with or without the coil split. It dominates my more expensive Legacy Les Paul copy.
The fret-end were fine as delivered.
The fretboard is a joy to play and I normally play american fenders.
The vibrato works fine and was similar to setting up a strat. It seems to attach to the surface of the body, which looks slightly curved (convex). However it seems to work fine. The bridge is nice and smooth under the palm.
The guitar is heavy at 3.8 KG.

Had this guitar a few week now,I'm delighted with the sounds and looks great. I'm waiting for my next Harley Benton ST-62MN VW Vintage Series.also ordered a Harley Benton TE-90QM Trans Red,cant help myself they are great guitars for the money....
Almost perfect
Apart from the nut having to be shimmed as it was cut too low, this guitar was perfect. Gorgeous action straight out of the box, and sounded immense. Beautiful flame top as well, and for the money this is incredible value. The only blemish on an otherwise perfect report card was that the nut was cut too low. Had to take it off and slip a shim in the nut slot then replace the nut and it's not perfect. If I was paying 2 grand I'd complain, but at this price point I find it impossible to do so. A must have in anyone's guitar collection regardless of your ability level.
Wow!
This guitar is the reason why the Harley Benton brand is getting so much attention from the youtube pundits.
It arrived in perfect condition (as it should) was setup perfectly and was even in tune!.
The fretboard was a little dry so i oiled it and gave it a clean and left it to soak.
An absolute joy to play and look at i wouldn't hesitate recommending this guitar to beginner or pro.
I chopped out the stock pickups and put in some dimarzio PAF pups and changed the tuners for wilkinson's.
The trem system is a mess but don't use trems so it doesn't affect me,i went for the trem version for adjustable bridge.
Anyway,an excellent guitar and worth way more than two hundred shunts.Get one now!!
Very Surprised
I'm not one to normally write a review but I was so pleasantly surprised when I received this guitar today. The neck has the perfect relief. Intonation was very very close and no flaws I can find. I was expecting a lot less for a guitar at this price. Just gonna change strings, drop the action , intonate and file a couple of fret ends.
I'm going to be a repeat customer !!
Pros & Con
Great playing guitar. Electronics are okay. Sounds good.
Only complaint is the horrific dye job on flame top. Looks nothing like the pic on the website. I was surprised this made it through QC. I will strip the finish and re-dye or paint it.
great sound & look & feel
As a beginner, I'm starting to learn, and I don't know much about guitars. As I'm yet to discover if this is for me, I'm not interested in spending a lot of money to be put aside later.
I have tried other guitars within a price range more than twice the price of this one, I can say that I find it much easier to play than the other ones.
Regarding the sound I appreciate the "versatility" of the options it offers.
So far my overall experience is very good.
