Incredible!

I am a new guitar player. This guitar was recommended by a friend, and did not disappoint! The 48mm nut is awesome for my large fingers. The sound is incredible! The quality of workmanship and shipping were amazing. Ordered my 2nd guitar tonight!

I'm movin' to GERMANY!

The Guitar was GREAT in every aspect. About the only guitars you can find in the USA with at LEAST a 1 3/4" wide nut are Seagull, Alverez, Martin...and this guitar also has a "matte" finish to the back of the neck( I learned my lesson, and that is the ONLY neck I will even PLAY).

Add the electronics, stays in tune, the look and feel...the PRICE, this is "heaven on earth" to ME! And I have too many guitars to COUNT(top of the line, to "crappola").

The help I got from the great people here was amazing.

Got it in THREE days, and in good shape.

Could NOT be any happier with it :)

Great for the price

I have this guitar for more than half a year and it's great. No issues in general with the guitar, it sounds great at least for the price and the things you get with it - in built tuner and fishman electronics. Nut is wider than "normal" but it's great for fingerstyle and it's still comfortable to play 99% of the chords. I had my hands on Yamaha F310 and I prefer this guitar 24/7

Neatly done. Frets do not stick out, the neck is straight. The strings are not too high, it's easy to play (if you already have calluses from playing, as it usually happens). The neck is wide, like classical guitars, it will be good for those who are used to the classics. Beautiful, sonorous guitar.

Perfect!

Great instrument, top in its price category! High quality materials, without any defects. Sound is full, rich and loud, after few weeks of playing. Now I have it for more than 2 years and the tone is great. The only thing which could have been better is the pickup and built in tuner, but its ok accroding to the price and you can replace it for better one if you want.

This guitar is totally amazing, if you’re thinking about buying one, don’t hesitate!!

I’ve been playing for 60 years as a hobby, and after 60 years you should be good. I have around 30 guitars, from top of the range Taylor’s to Martins, I’ve also got 7 HB acoustics but as far as value for money, when plugged in, this is actually as good as them all. I feel the wide nut makes a massive difference for both strumming and picking, even though I don’t have big fingers. People talking about the tone of woods etc should actually get real, since when plugged in it all becomes irrelevant, I’ve got 3 of this model, one a B stock, the build quality is excellent, great neck, frets and tuners. All in all superb!

A VERY NICE GUITAR

As a new player learning in my late 60s I found fretting chords without damping open strings quite difficult. So I looked around for a guitar with a wider nut. My CLD 1048 helped a great deal with this problem, and I am now on my way to being a guitar player. Oh, by the way, it has a very nice sound.

Primo guitar

I’m 69 yrs old and have been playing guitar since 1964 when the Beatles hit the states.

I own 30 guitars and 8 amps.

Included with my collection is Martin, fender, les Paul and so on.

This guitar is excellent in build and tone. I have not found anything negative.

Awesome

My neck is straight but the truss is a little maxed out. But it's a great guitar. Wide fret board is awesome

Excellent Guitar! Nut width: 48.0 mm :-)

A beautifully constructed guitar! It also sounds beautiful, and easily competes with my Taylor 214e, which is about $1000! It's got 48mm nut width, which I really like

Neck Bow

Initially rated this low because of setup issues. After setting up a couple of other instruments, I revisited this one. I was still unable to get the relief down to where I wanted, but after filing a couple of mm's off the saddle to get the action down on the last frets it's now satisfactory. I think the nut is a little tight on the strings, but may just need lubrication to help in tuning. It sounds good and is easier to play when adjusted properly.

Great full-bodied sound

A slight twaek to the action and I was good to go. Sound is full, tuners pretty good. Haven’t put it through an amp yet but look forward!

Well set up and playable right out of the Box after tuning it.

I'm a guitarist who makes my own recordings in my home studio. I mostly play a 6 string electric guitar, and occasionally, I use an acoustic when recording a backing track. I bought this guitar because of the wide nut, it gives me the ability to play clean chords at last after approximately 55 years of playing. This is one of the very few affordable options at a reasonable price.

The guitar was really well packaged, double boxed and air filled plastic pockets around to keep inner box to lessen the possibility of transit damage. Delivery time was quick from Germany to my door in England, I ordered on Monday and received on Friday.

I was pleasantly surprised with playability of this guitar, intonation and string height (action) were correct. I did drill into the curved underside of the neck heel and fitted a strap button, as I've always felt uncomfortable playing with a strap that attaches close to the tuners. A factory fitted strap button would have been very welcome there. I would also have preferred a factory fitted scratch plate, but they are readily available and easy to fit.

The build quality and choice of woods is good for a guitar of this price, although the fret ends would have benefited from some polishing. They are not too harsh, but lack the nice smooth feel of some of the more expensive guitars.

The acoustic sound was very nice, bass notes and high notes cut through nicely. For the electrics, I played through an Art Studio V3 to my PC with a Presonus Audiobox 18/18 interface to Senheiser HD380 headphones. The on board Fishman system does alright, it's a budget system and performs well enough. An extensive range of highs and lows are available through the bass and treble knobs, and can be adjusted from very muddy through to very shrill with a decent range of acceptable sounds in between. I found that I must remember to turn off the on board tuner, as it does not switch itself off, as I discovered when I noticed we had a new green light in our room around 6 hours after using the guitar.

Summary:

The acoustic sound is super, the electric sound is of reasonable standard, the action and general playability is good. I think this guitar represents excellent value for money and I would recommend it to anyone, particularly those with thicker than average fingers.

Chris.
