Such a sweet tone, and easy to play

Bought this as an alternative/ backup for my banjo. A five minute retune into open G and I was strumming and picking with ease. The build quality is perfect and it stays in tune for ages. The lacquer finish is stunning, this is great value for the price, if they brought out a electric pickup version id buy another in a flash.

lovely instrument, unbeatable at this price

I had one tenor guitar which I keep in CGDA and was happy with, but I wanted another to keep in GDAE. I chose this one mostly on the price. When it arrived I was astounded by the build quality and finish, the set up and the sound. It's got a good strong sound for a small instrument, neck is true, action is good, sounds better than my first one which was over twice the price. I've had it strung in both tunings and it's fine for either. Only flaw is the cheap machine heads which I've changed for 4 from a spare guitar set I had lying about; the originals were a weakness. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to dip their toe into the wonderful world of tenor guitars.

Great tenor guitar!

This is a lovely tenor guitar with a distinct and large sound. It is compact and the scale length allows playing in fifths. The neck is comfortable - narrow on the fretboard and thicker in depth and allows for a very good grip without the feeling of a small instrument. Cosmetics are top-notch as well!

My only suggestion to HB - make the pick guard optional, put it in the box but don't install it on the guitar. The guitar sounds even better without it and removing it a chore - time better spent playing :)

Great transition guitar

I am a lockdown guitar learner. I started on a tenor ukulele, moved to a baritone, then bought this Harley tenor guitar. This is a great way to get you on to 'grown up' guitar playing. This guitar is so light and compact you really can take it anywhere. Nice slim neck, perfect for nailing tricky chord shapes

A good tenor guitar at a great price

This Tenor is really good value and the sound quality is better than I expected at the price. I changed the strings to GDAE to match my mandolin chord shapes and tuning, but the low G sounded a bit flabby. My recommendation is to keep it at CGDA for a brighter sound.

Tenor Guitar

Great small sized tenor guitar with good base tones and looks good.

I use in a ukulele group tuned DGBE

Very enjoyable Tenor Guitar

I cannot praise this instrument enough. I purchased this Tenor Guitar as I have played Ukuleles for many years but struggle with a regular 6 string guitar. I tuned it to DGBE, which means it is the same chord shapes as the Ukulele but in a different key.

I can barely put it down. The finish is very nice and the sustain goes on forever. Love it!

Lovely sound for a small amount!

Amazing low-cost tenor guitar. It sounds fantastic in GDAD tuning. I would definitely buy this guitar once more.

Tenor Guitar

Bought this for my wife ( okay, really for me ) and we both love it. I have a nice Martin guitar ... this little tenor obviously is not anywhere near the same quality but ... it's wonderful value for the price, Excellent finishing ( had to file the frets a tad, no big deal ) and a sweet sound. Highly recommended for any beginner or just anyone who wants a nice little easy to play fun instrument.

Expectations blown away

Been getting into the 5ths tuned 4 string world and couldn't find what I was looking for until I came across Tenor Guitar and Tenor Banjo.

This guitar has a beautiful, sweet, crisp sound. It was smaller than I expected it to be and I thought the sound might take a hit for it, but this little acoustic is as convincing as some high end 6 string dreads I've played. I tuned it to GDAE , a 5th lower than standard because it gets me damn close to the range of a 6 string and most of the tunes I'm used to. Capo on the 5th fret and we're back to CGDA

The low end has crazy sustain and is way more booming than its size would suggest. It's slightly on the bright side due to its size but it's got really nice warm undertones. The high end has plenty of cut through and great sustain all though it doesn't sustain forever the way the low end does. This can be evened out with different bridge pins.

There are really no cons to this guitar. Immaculate finish to my eyes, great sound, unbeatable price.

i love this little guitar .

i have it strung left handed.

i realise that intonation can suffer by doing this

but it seems fine for me.

i,ve played it tuned cgda normal tenor guitar

then dgbe top 4 strings normal guitar

at the moment dgbd open g tuning

very versatile with the latest tuning

i have enjoyed using slide.

this is the perfect fit for sitting down in the

evening and just enjoying.

Excellent tenor

I bought this guitar about a year ago, and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

I play it tuned DGBE, using regular guitar strings.

Stays in tune very well.

Great feeling neck. it's very slim and thin, but once you get used to it, it's very pleasant to play.

Overall very pleased with it.

Five star guitar for a two star price!

This is a real treat of a guitar at a very low price for the quality. Beautiful build quality, superb tone and action and complete playabilty at every level.

For your first Tenor Guitar this would be incredible value and like me, you'd not want to be parted from it.

I'd be amazed if instruments at two or three times the price can better it, I know of several I've tried that don't come close!

I bought this little guitar not expecting too much.

However,i was pleasantly surprised.

Sound:The guitar has a really big sound for its size. Two highest strings are ringing really bright, but what really impressed me is how clear and strong the bass is.It's very important however to choose the right strings. For example the default Daddario strings give a vibrant, brighter sound while strings like Elixir Polywebs will make your guitar sound darker and quieter.Only complain, the neck is somewhat loud. For example, slides can be a little more noisy than expected.

Comfort of playing:What is missing here is a second strap button on the top of the guitar.I don't mind since i always sit while i play, but other people might find it a con.The neck feels comfortable and the spacing between strings above the sound hole makes fingerpicking a delight.

Build:The guitar seems reasonably well built.Neck and body seem very solid.Tuners are above average but you MIGHT need to tighten them with a screw for time to time. What i'd maybe like to see are better and stronger pegs.

Overall:For that price you simply can't go wrong. That sound you get,is the sound of a guitar that costs 3 or 4 times the price of this one.
