Awesome value!

For the price, this guitar can't be beat. It feels good to play and also sounds good too. It's also nice to look at. Only complaints I have are that the frets are a little rough, it's noticeable when doing bends but it's not too bad. Also the quality of its sound is a little thin, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It has its own character. For just playing at home or taking with you on the go, it can't be beat as a backup guitar or just something you can take with you and not feel bad if it gets dinged up a little because of the low price. Overall I'm very pleased with it.

Great Value

I bought this guitar during the lockdown to play on the odd occasion when I couldn't get out. The previous reviews were all very positive and the price exceptional so I thought what have I got to loose? Also purchase gig bag, strap and some plectrums. Delivery to the UK within 4 working days of order, brilliant! Now what about the guitar? Well it came fully set up, low action, a bit of fretbuzz on the A string but sorted that easily enough. Great tone, good looks, good finish exceptional value. Can't wait to try it through an acoustic amp. Will defo use for small intimate gigs! Five Stars all the way for me. Would recommend every time

Okay! but gives an unpleasant sound sometimes

It is good for the price. But my 3rd and 2nd string gives the distorted sound on lower frets. May be it has to do something with the neck or string alignment.

Fantastic budget guitar

I bought this guitar as a temporary replacement while my main guitar was getting fixed, but this quickly became my main guitar. It sounds and feels absolutely incredible, not just for the price but for a guitar in general. the piezo pickup inside works really well. the bass strings were kind of boomy and louder than the rest through the pickup but I sanded down the saddle and now it's absolutely perfect. the paint comes off very easily which is kind of an issue, i stuck down the pick guard but didn't align it right so tried pulling it off a little but all the paint came with it. other than that if you're careful with it it's not a problem. the action on mine came perfect straight out of the box and i noticed some reviews say the frets stick out a good bit and are sharp but the frets on mine came perfect, i suppose it's down to luck but i must have hit the jackpot.

this will be my main gigging guitar from now on. looks amazing, sounds amazing, plays and feels amazing. perfect for beginners or anyone really.

Love it!

I bought this guitar as a gift for my grandfather. He absolutely loves it and uses it as his main guitar now, even over his Gibson. He loves the look and feel of the guitar and says the sound it produces is perfect for his music.

It works!

I bought this guitar because i am currently without an acoustic and i needed a fast solution. It turns out this guitar was the right choice. The guitar plays really well, the neck feels natural and the sound is surprisingly good.

Pros:

Nicely shaped neck, good playability, great looks, better tone than you would ever expect from a guitar in this price range. The tuners work okay.

Cons:

It's really hard to find something wrong with this guitar, considering the price. The sound lacks a bit of low end (comparing to much more expensive guitars) , but nothing disturbing.

If you are considering an acoustic guitar and want to spend as little as possible, i can't reccomend it highly enough. I've played all types of guitars, from Fenders to Martins, and i still love playing this guitar. Best value for the money by far. Did i mention it looks really nice aswell?

Very satisfied

Home usage of this guitar, very satisfied with price and quality.

I'm very suprised with bass strings sounding of this guitar. They sound very loud and bright. It is also very beautiful looking.

It sounds beautiful, strings coming with guitar are good, this is actually one playable guitar for home and friend jamming.

Only bridge action is a little higher, and I'll lover it soon.

In comparasion with my Yamaha F310, HB has better sound, better looking, and better tuners quality. Only Yamaha has better bridge. Feeling while playing in these two is the same for first frets, until maybe to 12.where Yamaha's lover frets are more playable. I also like this frets, they are perfect for barre chords.

I think that this guitar is like some more valuable guitars, like mentioned Yamaha, and for this price you'll get very good guitar for beginners, for home playing, camping playing, all in all well balanced price/quality guitar with you'll not be sad if you hit in some furniture around you or scrach or something similiar.

Great for the price!

I was not even looking for another acoustic/electric guitar but after my friend had bought one, I was sold and had to get one myself. This is a very solid mid-range instrument and an excellent value for the money. The pickup system works very well and instrument does not feedback, as is typically the case with these hybrid guitars. All the notes ring out very nicely, right out of the box. Would recommend to a beginner or a working pro on a budget too....

Great 'bang for your buck'

For a guitar that cost only 75 euros, it does its job pretty well. It has a great acoustic sound, the pickup with a four-band (bass, middle, treble, presence) eq is decent and easy to manuever and, having used the guitar in live situations, it keeps itself in tune for most of the time. I found the neck to be stiff at first, but it may have been the way it was setup. It came with a 9V battery that lasted me about 6 months.

Harley Benton D-120CE VS

First off the delivery is really fast and the packing was if anything over packaged!.

but the guitar was absolutely beautiful when i eventually got it out of all the bubble wrap and a second box, Out of the box was almost in tune, but it did have a very conservative action, so after a little adjustment to the Nut and Saddle, it plays beautifully .

The guitar has a nice bright sound and does stay in tune, it is super light and comfortable, unfortunately i haven't tried the pickups or preamp so i cant comment on that, so bottom line if your looking for a lot of guitar for very little money, this is perfect :)

The best bang for your buck!

First I want to preface this by saying that my rating is based upon other similar products and not in comparison to a $10,000 Martin.

I had seen several videos on youtube about HB guitars. When I saw the prices I was very skeptical so I thought I'd try this guitar out and decide from there. I was very surprised at what I received.

Quite frankly I was shocked at the quality I received for a mere $78! The guitar, surprisingly arrived with a perfect set up. Intonation was good and the action was low just the way I like it.

There were no flaws in the finish and truthfully the guitar is a real beauty to look at. The frets were well done and the nut was cut to perfection. The fret ends were a little sharp, but not problematic. The frets were a bit dirty, but that's usually the case with many guitars both high and low end. The fingerboard is a little dry, but that's an easy fix with a bit of fingerboard oil. However, I like the dry feeling on an acoustic so I won't be oiling it down.

The sound of the guitar was surprisingly good. Better than a more expensive Gianinni I had. I give it four stars because it is NOT a $10,000 Martin, but for the money the guitar sounds amazingly good. Acoustic guitar is best recorded with a mike. Yet when I recorded the guitar direct it still sounded very, very good! I can hardly wait for the next order to arrive. If you want a very good guitar on a budget, you can't go wrong with a Harley Benton brand.

Best you can get for this budget

The guitar is very good for it's price and I could say that it plays better than many guitars at the price range of 200-400 euros of many well known brand names.

The action of the guitar is pretty high as it comes from the factory but with some neck and saddle adjustments this guitar shines.

The only thing I was a bit taken aback was that the fretboard has a small place where some wood was missing. It doesn't directly affect the playability of the guitar but I would be happier if it wasn't there.

Overall it is a great guitar.

Good guitar for the money

All in all a good acoustic guitar for the money. The instrument itself is very nice, the sound is good (though I'd recommend to change the strings immediately). Really nothing to complain about, it's a decent guitar with a very affordable price.

A good entry level guitar, great sound for the price

I was in need of a cheap acoustic guitar and I already own a HB 35. So I decided to stay with a "Benton", the price and the characteristics oriented me toward this model.

Pros

The guitar ha a really great sound, I didn't expect such a brilliant performance. The sound is really a nice one for the price. I personally prefer the amplified sound, with the pre-amp you can set a sound well balanced on bass/high.

The pre-amp is good.

The neck is comfortable even when you play for a long time.

Cons

While it's normal for an entry level guitar to have some imperfections, the HB D-120CE has something more. The tuning pegs are pretty bad, to be honest, the tuning pegs are the worst I've ever seen... You have to tune the guitar frequently because the pegs are quite awful. It's almost impossible to keep the guitar in tune for a long time, you have always to tune the instrument.

Frets are badly shaped, when you play on the high strings, and doing a slide it's really annoying because you can cut yourself. While the neck and keyboard is really cool, sliding is almost blocked by this.

Another annoying stuff is that when I received the guitar something was wrong, there was something inside making a strange noise, like something inside the guitar not fixed. I guessed the cables of the pre-amp were not fixed and the sound was produced by them... After shaking a lot the guitar I discovered that there was a "silica gel" stuff inside... I had to take it out. Why putting a silica gel inside?

Conclusions

For an entry level the guitar is amazing for the sound. If you're going to play it for recording it's ok, but some adjustments should be made. First of all, changing the tuning pegs. But, for the price, this guitar is really good becuase the potential is great.
