Great budget rock machine

I’ve had this guitar for about a week and it is great it stay in tune has no problems apart for some minor imperfections but you can expect that for the price it definitely punches above definitely worth a look great guitar

I bought this guitar as my first electric. I didn’t wanna go for something big just yet, I kept a low budget and I can’t say I’m disappointed. For 145€ this guitar is a great deal. To be honest, I was kind of troubled to get this HB or not. It was this or squier. I heard that squiers aren’t very much worth it, so I gave this HB guitar a try. I’d say it’s the best option for a beginner. Not expensive and you can play almost any genre you want, just make sure you get a solid amp.

Great example of the "SG".

Bought this to noodle on at home, arrived on time with no issues. My guitar arrived set up ready to play out of the box (unlike other more expensive brands). Love the feel of this guitar you can tell there are songs in this guitar as soon as you pick it up. Highly recomend this one.

Great guitar for rock.

This guitar had an issue with one volume knob. Also the tuners are not great. This is a common problem with hbs. But since I dont do live performances, this is not a big problem for me. Its a really interesting guitar for rock music. I am not so satisfied for metal. It sounds muddy. Its a completely different guitar than the typical single cut bentons.

Again every hb product is value for money. I am sure you will find a lot of good sounds in this one. If you dont own an sg guitar, buy this one. Its a completely different feeling. And the price is unbeatable.

One of the few SG style guitar with a set neck for this price.

I've owned a few of these over the years as I like them so much and they really are amazing value. I find SG style guitars to be the most comfortable to play and this is no exception, very comfortable and very well put together. Highly recommended.

Bang for the buck!

Overall a priceworthy to compete with the original.

Great platform for upgrades.

The neck of this instrument is amazing. The build is solid. However the pickups are weak, so get them changed.

Thank you very much for the guitar, but the quality is a bit let down.

On the first day, as soon as I got the guitar, I was very happy, but over time, the longer I was with the guitar, I began to notice flaws.

First, let's talk about the pros:

1. Acceptable sound, not great, but quite acceptable.

2. The appearance is quite good, especially the color.

So the cons:

It may not be from everyone who buys this guitar.

1. a cracked guitar pad - most likely this is due to the fact that no one at the factory oiled it, also a cracked insert on some frets.

2. The tailpiece is not fully inserted, that is, the washer into which the tailpiece bolts are screwed.

3. wobbling tuning pegs, i.e. 6,5,4,2.

In principle, for your money, the guitar is not bad.Perfect for a beginner or as a guitar for the home. All the shoals are cosmetic and do not physically interfere with playing, but still not pleasant.

Very good guitar for beginners

Price is very good for its value.

Because of the sg style, it is not very stable but that is okay.

Only reason it didn't get five stars is there was some loose play on the toggle switch. Guitar still operates without any problem. Sounds great looks great. The action out of the box was spot on. Tuned it up and started playing. It really is a wonderful guitar especially for the price. My second Harley Benton . Two great guitars.

Decent for what it is

This guitar with its set neck and block inlays is really interesting, and a pretty good value for the money. Most of the other brands copying the original are either much more expensive, or bolt-on, or just very plain.

My primary gripe is that the photos on this site are very misleading. It looks like it has some sort of flame maple type veneer to it, but it does not. it's the same up and down wood pattern you would see on any other SG style guitar. So for that reason you lost a star.

good for the money

there was a slight issue on the finish, and the setup was atrocious, I suspect someone that didn't know how to set up guitars would have sent this back. I ordered and received this during the COVID epidemic so perhaps staff was short at the time. Anyway, after setup, it was nice to play the sound is a bit harsh on the high end, I suspect this might be because the pickups have a ceramic magnet, something that can be changed, In conclusion, worth it for the price, hopefully yours is a bit better set up if not google how to do that and do it slowly or get the more expensive stuff. Great guitar for moding

I bought this as a practice guitar. I use it at home, usually with headphones.

It is a good guitar for the money, for the purpose I use it. The head and neck is heavy and the guitar is not balanced but thats ok. I think for gigging I would not use this guitar and would spend a bit more money for quality.

Decent double-cut guitar

This is very good for the price. Here are some general observations. My opinions are subjective, they're simply what I've found with what I received.

Fretwork seems very good. No sharp fret ends or sprout. The binding is very neatly done

Body appearance- the painter is darker and a littlee duller than the web photos. The finis is slightly transparent. The Body is three piece and because of the transparent finish you can see a centre piece with very different wood grain. It looks ok but might bother some. It would be better imho to make the paint opaque unless the grain/matching is attractive. But again that's just an opinion.

Sounds- neck pickup is warm and pretty fat. Not as good as the Roswells in my other HB guitars, but this guitar is 139 euro!!

Tuners are ok. They work but are not very smooth or precise. They will be replaced eventually.

Comfort. It exhibits pronounced neck dive. I play sitting as I'm a hobby player. but you may not.

Nut:- well seated, will need a little filing as there are plastic burrs left in some of the slots. No biggy.

Overall:- I bought it to mess around with. I don't own any high end guitars, my most expensive is a Harley Benton Fusion T (299 euro) which is markedly better quality than this guitar, but that's ot be expected. I will use it for occasional use in my garden office, some blues noodling, rock power chords and won't worry too much if I damage it.

Good for:- a complete beginner- a great starter guitar. Maybe as a living room guitar. With better tuners and pickups you could probably use it on stage, but I can't comment specifically because I'm not in that world.

Overall a very nice guitar for the money. It costs 139 euro and has a set-in neck.

Great for the price

I bought this guitar to have as a spare while mine got some work done.

For the price it is a great guitar to mod, the body/finish is done really well. I could only find a few small, and I mean small, imperfections. The frets needed some polishing, but the ends were well done and almost perfectly level. The pickups will probably be the first thing changed but the stock ones sound decent. All in all a great guitar to mod or for a beginner.

I only noticed one major flaw in my guitar or I would have given 5 stars. When peeling the plastic off the pickups I couldn't get all the plastic off. I was changing the strings anyway so I pulled the pickups out to remove all the plastic. Upon inspection of the pickups the Bridge and Neck pickups were reversed. It didn't take that long to rewire the pickups, but wish I didn't have to so I took a star away.

Other than the pickups the guitar was more than I expected for the price.

Amazing for the price

I've always wanted an SG style guitar that I could mod in the future and this fits the bill. The finish is amazing and the inlays are surprisingly nice, especially the harley benton logo on the headstock. My primary criticism is how sticky the neck is, it could be a little smoother.

Very decent guitar for the price

Plays and sounds just perfectly for the price, the red gloss appearance is satisfying and overall the guitar offers comfortable playing. My only (minor) issue is that it the tuning keys are delicate and can go out of tune easily sometimes, but nothing that causes a big problem.

All in all, would recommend easily.

Great buy

For the price it is great - sounds great, looks great. However some parts do feel a bit cheap especially the knobs - one of them would not attach properly to the pot. However I recommend it, especially if this type of guitar is not your usual buy/style and the big G is too expensive for a guitar which is not your main one.

can't beat it for the price!

i had a 61' re-issue from gibson. the sound was great, the quality so-so. for the price, this comes very close even with the chinese electronics and pick-ups. switch those out with better quality parts, and you got a contender.
