A 3.5 star guitar with 5 star charm

Not gonna lie, when you take it out the box, it feels like cardboard, smells like a canoe factory and is TINY. That being said tho, mine came very nicely set up, the frets were very nice and even smooth, the strings were the thinnest I've ever felt, and while it does NOT sound like a resonator, it does have some unidentifiable charm that just gets under your skin. It sounds punchy and happy, well defined yet very gentle.. and it's just a joy to pick up off the couch. I had it for maybe a week before I put some cork from a wine bottle under the strings right next to the bridge for that twang and mellow swamp slide, and it was great! Then I wanted some more tension for open G tuning and I put some old .11 elixir strings on it and I discovered something important. First, the bridge saddle, nut and bridge pins sound really, REALLY hard. I'm sure they're plastic, but they sound almost like ceramic or a sea shell falling on stone or glass, very nice! Also, the bridge WILL start to buckle and bump at the slightest increase in tension. I saw it the next day, and it kept going. So now it has a resonator tailpiece I got for 10e, I put a bit of wood inside top to back under the front of the bridge for extra resistance and now it holds a set of .16 John Pearse resophonic strings with a .59 low E, no problem. I've even made a new bridge saddle out of a nice bit of olive wood I had and sculpted it resonator style. It lives on the couch and I make my wife groan everytime I reach for it because she knows I'll go into ballroom swampblues songs immediately and for hours. It's great, try it, so fun. Really smells of glue though, so be ready for that

Quality

Overall a great starting acoustic guitar for any musician. If you favor good quality and tone as well as a compact size this instrument is the one for you

Makes me feel like Ed sheeran

As it says you feel like Ed.

Sounds a little tini but I like that for a small travel guitar. You can play like Ed sheeran but small blues kicks sound sick

Very nice little guitar.

Arrived at my home in Australia in seven days. No damage to packing and no defects on guitar. Very handsome little guitar in its simplicity, wood grain and colour, open pore finish and abalone rosette. Action out of the box was fine as was the sound which to my mind was impressive for such a small guitar. Had my guitar tech replace the saddle with a bone one…it really did not need it but it will give this guitar an even better chance to shine. Very happy with my purchase.

It's so impressive...

The sound on this little guy is so impressive considering it's size. I've bought this and the Harley Benton Traveler-E-Steel and I've got tell you: it has such a great sound, you won't believe it. Don't get the Harley Benton Traveler-E-Steel, that one is terrible, but the Delta Blues T... OMG!

Excellent tone, low action, a great play

I wasn't expecting much, but this is a great guitar for blues and folk. The tone is tinny in a good way but with good low end still. The overall playability is amazing for the price.

I bought this guitar for my son who is 9 years old as his first guitar and I must say it is one great guitar. It has that great bluesy sound.I would say it is more a melody and fingerpicking guitar than a strumming guitar.I love it and recommend it!

Wow

My expectations for this guitar were low, just as the price is, but I am blown away at how nice this guitar is. If you're on the fence about getting it, just get it. Its so worth it.

Sweet lil' machine!

The sound...oh my my my! I've a few stringed instruments that are absolute favs, and this one is creeping up quick. Only wish I'd gotten the package instead of just the Delta T alone (you're going to want to do what it wants you to...travel). Sound reverberates long after I hang it back on the wall, sweet!

Incredible!

I had gas for a nice little acoustic travel guitar and saw rage Delta Blues T . Based on reviews it seemed quite good and was super cheap so I went for it.

Glad I did . Honestly , I cannot believe the quality and sound of this little guitar. It looks great and is so fun to play. Has a nice popping sound to it.

It blows my mind how it can be this cheap . It stays in tune well , is light and easy to bring pretty much anywhere you want.

I'm exited to see how it will hold up in a years time. But if you have some spare change and are looking for a cool little guitar , you need to get this !

Around the same time I got the Martin backpacker which is also a great travel guitar in its own right . But if I suddenly had to do a solo acoustic set and had to chose Bergen that and the delta.........I'd almost have to go with the Harley Benton !

resonant baby

Just received.Oveall it looks very well made, no sharp frets, frets finished well at the ends, flat neck. The action is good and set well within accepted acoustic guitar string heights. Body is VERY resonant, maybe the mahogany but just a solid little instrument. The sound is very resonator like which is unusual and a nice surprise. The inside braces are clean no gaps and no glue residue. basically well put together. You either like the "pore" finish or not, I like it. Utilitarian. Fits perfects into a Baby Taylor Hardcase. Overall length is 86cm from headstock to body end, 87cm if you include the strap button. For the total price with shipping, $180 CAD, it's a worthwhile buy as a useable alternative to an LX1 or BT.

Traveling Blues

I was looking for an inexpensive guitar to take on camping trips and the Delta Blues T fits the bill.

A great little guitar with a big sound, small enough to fit in with the rest of the camping gear but loud enough to get the site singing along.

I'm more than happy with my purchase playing wise and I have to say the Delta Blues T looks fantastic too. Only wish I'd bought a gig bag to go with it.

Value for money is insane

This little thing blew my mind. Straight from the box Just had to tune it and that was that: perfect action, intonation and overall playability. A professional tune up from your local guitar shop is almost as expensive as this little guy. Sound is awesome too, super dry banjo/resonator-ish sound.

I use it as a practice guitar at home and take it with me on trips to the beach, park, etc.

The tuners, obviously, aren't top notch so it doesn't stay in tune perfectly all the time but that's the only thing that I can say is a bit of a downside. Seeing the price, I can't even mention it as a downside, so that's why I'm giving it 5 stars.

Great travel guitar

It looks beautiful, the build is excellent, the sound is very bluesy and it's not too quiet considering the size. I was actually surprised at how loud it is. The shipping was crazy fast and got me in trouble with the wife since she was home when it prematurely arrived and I didn't have enough time to tell her that I'd bought the 6th guitar. we have a house full of guitars and she is mad at me, but I will keep it at work so, don't be mad honey I love you, but I also love guitars. Peace
