Harley Benton Extreme Metal 5-stars Reviews
Très bonne pédale
Je la joue depuis maintenant 3 voir 4 mois et franchement elle envoie du lourd
Insanely good sounding distortion with just 30$
The gain on this is huge, and it sounds really good, even without using the boost. The boost kind of ruins the tone because it makes the treble skyrocket, but you can fix that somewhat with the EQ.
Metal pedal
Brilliant little pedal. I get the perfect sound I want to s hg red my guitar.
incredible value, Mesa-type distortion
I was super surprised by this pedal, it gives me a Mesa type tone, far better than any amp sims distortion. I use it with the cabs in Amplitube 5, it works great. This pedal gives many sounds, the controls seem interactive. This is not a pedal that gives you 1 sound. For this price? Incredible. Other companies would charge you 2 or 3 times for this. Built to last years, low noise, I compared it with other pedals.
Guter Lauf
Solides effect pedal mit dem versprochenen Metal-Sound. Funktionierte ohne Probleme mit Gitarre und Ukulele 😉
Great amp sim for the price
This little thing was part of my main rig for almost two years. The sound is trying to mimic a mesa dual rectifier and it does a fairly decent job I'd say. The build quality was okay, but at one point the switch for the drive wouldn't work if you hit it at an angle though. Other than that this is a very good pedal for the price
Wide variety of sound
Good solid construction, not especially heavy but sticks to the floor well.
The sounds within range from the soft to the heavy, and you should have fun twiddling the extensive array of knobs.
Worth a punt as it's low priced but regardless is as good a pedal as any out there in its class.
Great for its price
For its price this pedal is amazing. It gives a good distortion that can be high toned and supports bass along with it. Ideal for black metal. The only disadvantage is that it makes noise when is active and not playing especially in higher volumes. So I wouldn't recommend it for a loud rehearsal or a live concert. But you can use it for recording.
Great
Does exactly what I want it to do
extreme to the core
Nice, solid construction, better than the Brngr ones I own. Also the sounds I can get out of it are real metal, on the heavier side of things. No jealous of the more expensive units at all
I like how this gadget sounds when used as a preamp (with ir), it turns out quite a nice fat overload
Perfect. This has became my new favourite pedal.
Awesome Pedal
Great pedal capable of easily producing manageable grit and distortion. I am primarily a rhythm player and have been very pleased with this pedal--chords do not get muddy. Also a great overdrive.
Extreme Metal Pedal, great product.
Received this item yesterday. It's sturdy and very easy to dial in your required tone. Some youtube reviews have stated that the boost dial does nothing. This is definitely not true- if you want to peel off a lead break, it works wonders at giving you extra control over certain frequencies.
I am a guitarist who dabbles in various extreme metal styles- and I'm yet to find a style that isn't complimented by this pedal. It's incredibly dynamic. I also use a Digitech DM, which definitely could not be described as dynamic (they turned gain to full and tore the knob off), it's great to have that control back through this pedal.
Good value for the price.
Good beginner pedal to get a variety of metal tones. Clear sound.
Good product for your money.
You shouldn't expect much for this money, but for a small concert or to play at home it will do.
One trick pony
I use if for pop-rock band lead guitar with drive turned to the near minimum. Sound is great and suits me well. It only the one sound, not a big variety thing. So not a lot of features. But quality and looks are great.
A solid, very usable pedal.
I bought this pedal to use in front of a solid state amp for a death metal band. The amp i was using wasn't capable of high gain in the slightest and this pedal added more than enough to play death metal.
You have EQ, gain, volume and a boost. Weirdly, the boost seems to affect the tone, but as I always had the boost on for a little extra volume with the gain set around 50%, it wasn't really an issue for me but is something to consider if you plan on using the boost for solos - it will change your tone.
Everything feels nice and solid, it's got a metal housing, the knobs are chunky and solid and turn smoothly and the footswitches have a nice solid click to them. The only problem I encountered is that for some reason I can't quite fit a 9V battery through the battery door as the opening isn't quite big enough. Since the back plate has screws that can be undone I just removed that and swapped the battery out that way, but if you use a power supply its not an issue. All in all, a nice pedal.
metal pedal
it's a clone of METAL MUFF, but it's better, for me obviously, the top boost is much more useful than in the METAL MUFF, the space between the footswitch permits a simultaneous actuation, good very good metal distortion pedal. advice
Extreme
Great pedal. For the full range of sounds that this pedal is capable of you need to put the guitar signal first through a compressor then into the Extreme Metal pedal.
With a compressor in place and the Boost footswitch engaged it does make a big difference with actual boost present. When no compressor is present the Boost switch makes very little difference at all.
This pedal is extreme distortion, overtones are also present. The Low bass area of sound can be adjusted and gives a solid sound, the High and Middle tones can be adjusted too with a good overall tonal range and a powerful distortion.
The Gain covers a wide range of distortion - make sure you have a compressor before this pedal to get the full on max extreme sustained sounds and get the full range of tones and distortions this great pedal is capable of delivering.
