Harley Benton Fusion-T HH EB BK Reviews
Sleekest Telecaster copy I've ever seen!
I was entranced by this one as soon as I saw it! It became my fifth Harley Benton purchase in 2024. Itâs the most expensive guitar Iâve purchased thus far but at $275, it is still cheaper than any other Telecaster-like guitar that is appropriate for professional playing. Magnificent craftsmanship!
Amazing guitar
I wish i would’ve kept this but sold it for a different guitar. The coil split sound was great, didn’t care much for the humbuckers but I’m just NOT a humbucker guy. Felt amazing, great neck, neck to body contour was so nice, made playing up high so natural, awesome features all around.
My first bad Harley Benton
Im a Harley Benton fan, this one was my 3rd HB guitar and I guess I have been lucky with the other 2. They were flawless.
This one though, had many issues straight out of the box:
- The neck was not aligned with the body, how can this pass Quality control ?
- Frets were rough, could hear them screech with every bending
- High E string easily sliding out of fretboard when fretting, likely related to neck not aligned with body
- Neck pickup sounds quite dull
- Split coil function makes it sound very thin, requires volume and gain adjustments on your signal to make it work
- Locking tuners were not really locking, after a relatively mild whammy bar push/pull, it would detune
Honestly the only good thing about it was the bridge pickup, that one sounded lovely. But the rest of the problems were not worth keeping it
is een redelijke gitaar
alles is goed voor zijn prijs
INCREDIBLE with minor QC problem
This is such a good guitar truly I was amazed
The story is a bought another HB guitar and it was terrible so I had to return it and I bought this one after the refund...I thought this would suck as well but it's so good...only some very small QC problems.
Pros:
Locking tuners are really good
guitar stays in tuner very well even with tremolo use
tremolo is really good it can kind of dive bomb it gets to where the low E starts to slack and then returns to tune...incredible
the guitar came set up relatively well
the neck is so smooth
the pickups are personal taste, I like them
the volume pot works well in cleans up on drive tones
it looks stunning flawless finish
stainless frets!!!!
Cons:
The tone pot is not that good
and for the QC problem:
on the side of the neck under the frets the holes for the frets haven't filled up correctly so there are some small holes but you can fill them up pretty easily with Light CA glue
I will try this and update this review
Much better than a fender player series
Amazing
This guitar is amazing for the price. Sold an LTD EC-256 to make room for this and this guitar beats it in every way. Only have a very minor issue with the tone knob not being tightened all the way but that's not even an issue really. Frets were great, fret ends were superb and not a single ding anywhere besides some very minimal scuff marks on the fretboard after the 12th from probably from a file or something but doesn't bother me
Great guitar and for the price and shipping it'll make any Squier in the same price range look like a punk in comparison
An Amazing Guitar!
In 2020 I bought a Harley Benton Fusion-T HH EB BK and it is an incredible guitar and sounds amazing!! I play every week and it has turned out to be a high quality product.
Great Purchase
The Harley Benton Fusion-T HH EB BK was a great investment! It plays well and sounds great! A must try and purchase…
Donât hesitate, buy it!
This is my new favorite guitar. I have several higher end guitars that are passed up while reaching to play this one. It looks great, plays well, and has a great variety of tones even before you get to coil tapping! Don’t be discouraged by the budget friendly price point.
Harley Benton Fusion-T HH EB BK
Overall a nice guitar. comfortable to play with a nice action. Although I had to make a perspex clear scratch plate and held it in place with small pieces of blue tack, otherwise the plectrum over time would have spoiled the
cosmetic look of the body due to plectrum marks
Overall Excellent
Almost perfect - Nice, comfortable neck that is easy and fast to manoeuvre around on. The pickups have a nice articulation and enough bite and edge for cutting through pretty much any mix. It also does a good job of staying in tune. The only fault I found was that in terms of physical balance, the guitar has what I consider a "neck-dive" problem. There are ways of solving "neck-dive" and I do not consider it a disqualification for recommending this guitar (which I consider great value for the money).
For a Tele knockoff...
This is very nice! Locking tuners, stainless frets and noiseless PUs are on higher end models but are on this one! Action had to be lowered a little and truss rod adjustments but both went easily.
Pros: Sounds great! Good action, Feels great in your hands and a very nice finish on the body.
Cons: fret sprout... Had to file fret ends, which took a while, since they're stainless..
Can't go wrong at this price. Beats my friend's Squier hands down.
Exceeded my expectations !
This guitar not only looks great but the set up on the frets are spot on. I was able to lower the action as low as I wanted and still no buzzing. All the parts are just as good as their high dollar brand named clones. This guitar is stays tuned and sounds just like a professional guitar that would cost way more money. It will definitely not disappoint !
Great guitar
Came in tune.
This one is best Harley Benton I've buy.
Great for the price, but disappoints in a few ways.
I want to preface this review by noting that one of the highlighting features that convinced me to purchase this instrument was because the fretboard wood was listed as Macassar Ebony, which is known for its beautiful mix of dark and medium colors. It's one of the more expensive types of woods with respect to fretboard choice, particularly because of the aesthetic. Which brings me to the problem... They just stained the whole fretboard super dark!! I can tell because on the neck (where the fretboard is glued to the shaft) there's a clear discoloration between this area and the top of the fretboard. This was a major disappointment to me and it irritates me because I do not recall seeing this mentioned on the listing. This alone makes me reduce the score of the rating.
Aside from this, the quality of the instrument is rather impressive for the price. There's only 1 tall fret and it plays super smooth. The neck is a matte finish, but I found some thin dark-colored gunk stuck to the neck near the joint. I think it can just be rubbed off, but it's still worth mentioning. The maple neck is beautiful, I can see multiple locations on it where there is birdseye, which is an unexpected surprise. The pickups are hot and sound awesome. The fretwork is fantastic (with the exception of that one high fret) though the material feels like a stainless steel composite. The fretboard side dots are slightly lower than they're supposed to be, but this is not an issue. See my other review on the Fusion 2 for specific details regarding quality of these instruments, this one is almost identical.
Fantastic Telecaster
Not your typical telecaster twangy sound for country and blues, but nonetheless the pickups are quite powerful and do have a fantastic sound. The quality is superb and the guitar has no con's as far as I can tell. Rivals the top Fender HH configuration guitars and you simply will not find the quality and price like this one. If you are looking for a telecaster design that handles rock and heavy metal very well this would be it.
My opinion
Dear friends good day,
The guitar: Looks great, plays great, feels great, price great!!!
Minor scratches to the back plastic covers and a squeaky sound to the three way toggle switch, no problem. Little color spray and contact spray resolved everything.
The company: Very informative, great customer service, very helpful.
I did not liked the billing policy.
Minor misunderstandings for the billing policy are resolved with personal phone call from their Greek speaking stuff from Germany.
Thumbs up
Thank you
