Harley Benton G112

This review is written with considerable regard to the low price I paid. It is unlikely that you would find an empty speaker cabinet at this price. That said, the fitted speaker, is not to be sneezed and sounds nice. I have used this as a guitar cabinet for my Fender Bassman head and it has done well in producing a clean vintage sound. Build quality is good, with thinnish but perfectly serviceable vinyl covering. No annoying rattles or shoddy workmanship. It is fairly lightweight and looks presentable on stage. Open back, which suits most guitarists these days. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

absolutely surprised

Well, I was looking for a cheap 1x12 cabinet for my bedroom.

So I've orderd the Harley Benton G112.

Out of the box, the cabinet works well with my Mesa Boogie Mini Rectifier, but

it sounds very thin. So I modified the cabinet, by closing the open back.

I was very surprised, now the sound came very punchy through the chinese

1x12 speaker.

Well, after this modification the cabinet sounds a bit like a Celestion G12/T75.

I've tested the cabinet with my amps, and it works very well with the Mesa

Mini Rectifier, the Orange Tiny Terror.

In my opinion, you get a very good cabinet for blues, rock and metal.

Thumps up for the G112

great price for a good sound.

This was purchased to use with an orange micro terror and it does a good job of keeping up! Aside from the reasonable price, I like the fact that it is simple and unassuming in appearance, plain black grille cloth and covering that isn't overly shiny and nice trims on the corners and handle. It is a reasonable weight at 12Kg but seems sturdy and made to last. I find it gives a good sound from the micro terror and the fact that the speaker will handle 70W RMS means it will still be of use to me if I purchase a more powerful head in the future. Certainly I doubt the benefit of paying extra for a cab for home use would not be worth the large price increase for other brands and I am very happy with my purchase.
