Quality Cabinet

I was searching for a budget friendly speaker cabinet of Celestion V30s. A friend recommended Harley Benton as he had been using a HB 2x12 cabinet (also built with Celestion V30s) and boasted of the sound and quality.

I have been using my Harley Benton 4x12 for a few months and couldn’t be happier. Solid construction, great sounding speakers, and quality craftsmanship. It comes with casters, but is not a weighty cabinet which makes it great for practice and gigs. Highly recommend!

Great value for money

First off, for the money, it's great value. 4 Celestion V30 speakers will cost more than the cost of this cab, so it's worth that just for the speakers alone.

It's the smallest 4x12 cab I've ever purchased and that does impact the sound. It's the brightest and least bassiest 4x12 cab I've heard. A bit of EQ tweaking can sort that out, so it's not really a pro or con. The small form factor (by 4x12 standards!) is handy if you want to transport in smaller vehicles.

On the customisation side of things, mine was a very tricky to get the back off. The back was really jammed in tight and it took a look of prying, all around the edges, and I had to take a side handle off to push from the inside to finally unjar it. It almost felt like it was glued in, but it wasn't.

If you do take the back off, be very careful. It's also best to take the jack plate off. It looks like an accountant decided how long the wire should be and not the person building it! It's very easy to pull the back off and yank the connections off, as they are very short wires, in comparison to a Marshall cab where you have several more inches of wire. Inside, the speakers are bolted in, instead of being just screwed, which a lot of people consider a good thing.

Mine was delivered to the UK and, unfortunately, suffered a bit off damage in transit. I decided to take a partial refund, as it took a couple of whacks and tore the tolex in a couple of spots. It looked more like B-stock, when it arrived.

In case anyone is wondering, the cab is built with 4 x 16 ohm speakers.

All in all, I'm happy with it.

Great bang for the buck

I have been using this cab with a number of different heads and it sounds like you'd expect V30s to sound! The Rolex isn't as tough as other cabs I've owned but for the price that's expected. I'd buy another in a heartbeat. In fact, I'm looking at the vertical 2x12s

Great value

Nice sounding cab with ok build quality. Cab arrived with a bit of damage in transport and had some dings to the tolex, but otherwise works fine and it is excellent value for money. Only annoying things is that the cab wheels are not leveled and are really wobbly.

Great Sounding Cab!

Its a great cab that sounds good with my Marshall TSL 2000. I recommend it to anyone who wants quality sound from their amps whether it be a low end tube amp to a higher end one. My amp sounds completely different with these speakers. I went from some H&H speakers in a Laney 4x12 cab and the difference was night and day. Overall, this will change your tone a lot more than pedals and amp heads ever will. Its the part that outputs all those signals. You need a quality output to hear that quality input.

Great sounds for an even greater price. You won't be able to find anything better for a similar price.

Excellent box with superb speakers - great value for the money. Had many boxes, but this really suits all my needs. The tolex could be better fitted in the corners, but's not worth mentioning in fact. Amazing piece of gear!!!

Solid and affordable

I found this cabinet to be quite ideal. I play it with a jcm800 and it has delivered the sound particularly well. The Celestion vintage 30 speakers are capable of providing literally any style of music. It's very reasonable price makes this a great choice of cabinet as apposed to a Marshall when looking for your first stack. A great buy!

Great cab

I was looking for a cabinet of average quality, and some type of speaker, my rock typically ranges from late 70s to more modern with some parts of metal and postrock, celestion v30 seemed to me the best compromise. The cabinet is well-made, its weight is average and has a sober look but that will be noted. I must say it sounds great, it has a selector for the impedances that is very practical and flexible, remember that you must run the "breaking in" on these speakers, but after this, enjoy this cabinet, has a price and a quality unsurpassed. recommended.

A very good sounding Speaker Cab

I have been using this Guitar speaker cabinet for about 4 years now and it sounds better and better for every year. My amplifiers have changed but the cabinet remains the same.

Sound Quality : The speakers are Celestion V30´s , and there is nothing to say about them, execpt that they are a little bit harsh and bright sounding in the beginning. That is probably to the fact that to keep the cost down, the manufacturer doesn't "brake in" the speakers. So that is something you have to do yourself. When the speakers are "broken in", the sound coming out of this cabinet is well matched to more expensive guitar cabinets.

Build Quality : The build quality is a little above average. The wheel diameter are a little bit on the smaller side, and that makes it a little bit difficult to push the cabinet over carpets and cables lying on the floor.

Features : The Ohm selector is a nice feature. In my situation it has been quite handy, since i have been switching amplifiers from time to time. The Stereo/Mono feature is also a nice addon. I have had connected a stereo power amp, and have been able to use stereo effects with good results.

I would definitely recommend using this cabinet with any guitar amplifier, Just remember to break in the speakers.

Nice cabinet

I use this mainly in the rehearsal space paired with a Bugera 333 XL. The cabinet and speakers does it´s job very well! This is a very good cabinet for the price and I would really recommend it for anyone on a budget.

Bang for buck Cab

I bought this to go with my jvm 410 head.

Great sounding v30's in a rugged cab. I also used it with my tsl 60 combo and it made that amp sound totally different, more alive and more in your face. Only downside i see is the weight of this thing, but that's really unavoidable with any 4x12 i guess. After a while i installed the castor wheels that shipped with it, and they do not disappoint. They carry the cab without any problem, and they have a soft surface, so floors are not harmed by rolling it around.

Rock solid and great value

I took a punt on this cab and was very pleasently surprised.

For about half the cost of the bigger name cabs it really delivers.

Well built as well.

Recommended.
