Amazing value for money
I bought this as a travel guitar based on the excellent reviews. And I must admit I'm simply astonished. Build quality, hardware, setup, playability, intonation and sound are great. Sustain and balance are fine. Pickup and electronics are surprisingly good and there's even a high-quality chromatic tuner build in. The only thing I've slightly modified are the bridge and nut by lowering them approx 1mm to improve the action and playability to my taste. All in all, including a durable gigbag, this is amazing value for money. I definitely wouldn't categorize this a beginners guitar, rather intermediate almost pro level. No wonder these are topsellers.
good quality
great value, my 6 year old nephew loves it, arrived in good condition just a little set up needed
Outstanding!!
I bought this guitar for my 13 year old step daughter for her first proper electro acoustic. Absolutely fantastic guitar, in all respects. Beautiful well rounded tone, nice neck (I was concerned the neck would feel wide, but it is slender and comfortable). The action on arrival is maybe a tiny bit higher than I imagined, but can be adjusted if you wish, in the end we just left it, it’s not crazy high action like some are straight out of the box. Built in tuner and pickup are of a good quality. The body of the guitar is small enough to make it travel-size and handy, but it is big enough to have a strong sound. Like most smaller guitars, it is more suited to fingerstyle, sound can get harsh if you play too hard with a pick, but a soft pick not played too rough and it maintains it’s great tone. If I could give this 6-stars, I would! I plan to buy one myself, to replace my Tanglewood electro travel, as the Harley Benton is quite simply better in every way.
Lovely GS Mini travel guitar.
I've had this guitar about a year now and love it. My son in law has a Taylor GS Mini and even he loves this Harley Benton GS Mini. Would recommend to anyone wanting a really nice travel guitar but can't afford the Taylor. it really is a good substitute
I couldn't believe how good it was for that price.
I've been playing for 30 years and had just bought an amazing Eastman e10oo. I ordered this one for my daughter's birthday as her first guitar.
The guitar sounds really great and feels really nice. It doesn't have a lot of bass but that's a small guitar... Oh I forgot to mention! I actually ordered a Taylor GS mini mahogany from woodbrass before the eastman and I sent it back. I actually like that little HB better.
one of my best investment
I am totally in love with this instrument. It stays in tune, and it has an amazing built in tuner, and what an amazing sound it can generate. Its a no brainer.
Great product - neck shape a bit weird
Can't argue for the price, it is excellent quality. Includes battery and cable as well for the pick-up which I did not expect. Only thing was the next is almost a V-shape, would have preferred something more round.
Nice clean balanced sound ..... worth it at twice the price ...!
Pros :
This guitar is exceptional value. It played fine straight out of the box with the supplied strings all though the action was too high for me. I lowered the action at the nut and saddle to suite and while I was there i dressed and polished the frets ....they did need it (only to be expected at this price) Love the scale length and compact body size ..... projects like a much bigger guitar and rings like a bell.
Cons : Frets may need a little work ?
Uncredible for this price
Playing for over 30 years already and having owned many expensive guitars (+3000$), the only thing i can say is that this guitar is absolutely brilliant for its price. If you have the money to spare and you want a great little fun guitar, this is the way to go. Stays in tune perfectly, love the finish and sound surprisingly great acoustically. I also use the guitar for recording, adding a few effects helps to get a full round professional acoustic guitar sound.
