Great guitar, amazing sound, with just minor quality issues

First let me say, that it is quite an amazing guitar for that price. It sounds brilliantly, offers a number of features (like the possibility to change from humbucker to single coil on bridge and neck pickups separately) and looks stunning from far away. The wood on the body is much thicker, than on my previous Ibanez Artcore, which for me is a plus, as it makes the guitar much more durable.

However, there are some minor quality issues - all plastic materials are quite cheap. This is especially evident in the case of the pick-guard, which is a complete rubbish. It is utterly ugly, came scratched straight from the box and had strange, cheap shine to it. When I took it off the guitar, I noticed a small dent in the lacquer of a yellowish-beige colour, which was a shame, because overall the finish is really nice. The tone and volume controls look quite nice from aside, but when examined closely, they could be improved a bit, which also applies to their precision (some of them are more loose than the others). These were much better on a similarly priced Ibanez.

Apart from that, this guitar was exactly what I was looking for at that price range, and the above-mentioned issues are really minor compared to the number of amazing features that it offers. I would buy it again.

This is a beautiful looking guitar and finished to an excellent standard.

Compares very well to its competition and has a nice fretboard which plays very well.

Fretboard needed oiling as usual and as all guitars once acclimatized to the conditions stay in tune well.

Although I retune any guitar I play before starting a session.

At this price point there is nothing that can touch it.

Buy one.You won't be dissappointed.

I'm In Love with my new HD 35 plus

I'm very thankful for allowing me to purchase the HP-35 Plus, since i live on the other side of the world and sometimes the wood been used might be band in the USA.This guitar is a dream could not be Happier. Thanks and Aloha.

HB35 plus

Just received my HB 35 plus. I am very pleased. Lovely lemon drop finish. The frets are level with no sharp edges, although a little dull and slightly tarnished but that is no problem to sort out. The Roswell pickups sound great. The only fault is that some of the inlets are not perfectly straight and there is a couple of very slight blemishes in the finish where the neck meets the body, but you need good specs to see that. Overall a great guitar well worth the wait to get it. Fantastic value for money ?. If you are in the market for a semi you won't regret getting on of these.

For the money, a fantastic guitar

I bought this guitar as a temporary one and I never had a semi-acoustic. It is a great guitar for the money with a lot of features.

It looks great as well, though there are some set-up and minor construction flaws, it is still a great deal.

Harley Benton HB 35Plus

This is my second Harley Benton, i've always wanted a 335 style guitar, but never could justified the cost. After watching several reviews on you tube & the great experience of getting the SC450 plus lemon drop Itook the plunge, WOW what a guitar for silly money!

Came again pretty well set up, intonation almost spot on.

Only had to lower the action slightly & lubricate the strings & fret board.

I would say that the top is not a AAAA flame but it still looks stunning.

Sounds great, i just can't believe they make such great guitars at this price.

Highly reminded is you want a classic style semi hollow on a budget.
