Usable

For the price, the quality is acceptable. If budget were higher, would rather spring for the CST24 with P90s (not sure if would have similar issues, but probably less likely). Overall, this is not a bad beginner guitar.

Cons:

- had to have very high action, fret buzz quite an issue on the bass strings

- extremely microphonic pickups

- really cheap electronics/knobs/switch

Pros:

- after sorting out the fret buzz (albeit with high action), is quite nice to noodle with

- no sharp frets

- neck is not bad

- stays in tune quite well

Bad paintjob and assembly

I have ordered this guitar twice in white and sunburst. Both of guitars had same problems ? screws in pickguard cracked the deck, space behind pickguard is painted with sawdust on deck. Pickups are mounted poorly, one of them is even angled. Frets was sharp on both guitars. Belt holders not holding tight in deck. Also I was surprised that texture on deck is just sticker or something like that. Painting was uneven, tone of paint is different in different places. But the electronics done good. Sound is nice, pickups are okay.

Overall, this is good guitar for the price if you can accept that problems with paintjob and assembly.

Good for the price, required some work

When I plugged this in after receiving it, I found that the pick up selector switch wasn't working for the neck and middle position. I opened it and discovered one of the wires was completely disconnected from the switch so I had to resolder, and that fixed it. Next was the 6th fret on the A string, completely unplayable due to fretting/buzzing so have to fix that next. Also on the 9th fret there is very noticeable scratching, and the rosewood fretboard is almost fake looking. Other than the above.....you get what you pay for. Lovely looking guitar, but the basics need to be checked before delivery..

Real p90's Jazzmaster!

This is a really nice well made copy of the well know brand Jazzmaster.

The gutar body has a nice looking sunburst finish(mine was flawless)that is put down only by a really ugly tortoise like pickguard.the rosewood maple neck is chunky, fast.in amber tint colour and is completed with vintage style kluson tuners that work pretty well.Pickups are Wilkinson branded p90's and they deliver a cruncy, bold and woody sound.actually they're pretty hot and don't disappoint both clean or with a fuzz effect ingaged. The bridge is exactly like any jazzmaster bridge and as the original it needs a proper setup otherwise it will buzz.there are two way to solve the annoying problem.buy a replacement mustang bridge(it is a drop in)or learn how to set it up propely(internet is full of articles regarding the matter).

To summarize a very solid and good looking guitar that needs only few adjustments to rock full on.it's cheap and worth the money and who knows, one day this Harley Benton would become an instrument for collectors.

forgot to mention that it came with d'addario strings on.
