Harley Benton HB-10G Reviews
Nothing more than you'd expect
Cleans are great. Overdrive not so great.
It's an okay bedroom amp if you don't like overdrive
Basic
Its a basic 10 watt amp, but the added jack for mp3 and headphones make it great for quiet practice, it's not for a gig or jamming with mates. SOund quality on t he clean channel is lush, overdrive isn't as good but is certainly passable if you play with the eq and tone knobs. You can get a pretty good Peter Green bluesy sound out of it, but metal is definitely out.
Great amp for a beginner
This was my very first guitar amp and it wasnt until i tried other beginner amps that i realised how good it is. Clean channel is very clear sounding with nothing out of the ordinary and the gain when in low and mid gain settings is very usable. For the pirce it is a fantastic amp. I would recommend it to anyone who is considering buying an electric guitar but not looking to spend too much.
price/quality very good
For this price, it's just a very good amp. The controls are a bit sensitive and when you want to play really loud, the sound quality is a bit less. But all in all, very happy with this one.
Not bad for a beginner
For the price it definitely surprised me, didn't have a great sound but it certainly did the job for a beginner.
I would recommend this amp if you are completely new to guitar but you would be looking for an upgrade after a few months of playing.
Greatest amplifier in its price range!
This amp is the perfect buy for any beginning guitarist or people on budget.
Has all the features needed to start playing the guitar without any discomfort.
Pros:
Compact
Built in overdrive
Clean enough sound
Headphone and player ports
Cons:
Some people may dislike the finish of the amp.
The power cord is not detachable.
Overall strongly suggest this amp to anyone who is still thinking on buying one. This is a perfect one for practicing at home or away, because of its compact size. The headphone slot lets you play without annoying the neighbors, which is a great feature).
Best price
It is really good quality amplifier and very cheap. You can not find better in this price.
An ideal starter or practice amp for the student guitarist. The lay-out is clear and easy to understand. The EQ works intuitively and well, the sound quality is pretty good for such a small amplifier. Because of the small size, the ideal practice amplifier for a student room. The headphone jack is a great addition to not disturb others in your area while you exercise. The extra line in input is the ideal partner to jam with backing tracks or your favorite songs. The amplifier is robust and can last quite a while. Worth the money!!!
Good practice amp
Sounds great, loud enough, it has good cleans, OD sounds fizzy
Great value amp!
Great combo for beginers
I am satisfied with this product, I use it at home only and it is enough. Sound is OK however I wonder if it will be the same as new after few months. It is small, not heavy, really worth the price.
Good practice amp
Been using it as a practice amp for three months now. It never got out of my room and I don't intend to use it for anything else beside home practice.
Now let's see what I like and don't like about it.
Pros:
1. Sturdy build - I was actually amazed by how sturdy this amp feels
2. 3.5 mm jacks - this is really, really useful. You can just plug in your MP3 (or phone) and your headphones without the need of any adaptor.
3. Cheap - it won't hurt your wallet, but you actually get a lot for this price.
Cons:
1. The sound is clear, though it does get noisy if you crank it up.
2. The overdrive channel is not all that good.
All in all, you really can't go wrong with it.
Small guitar combo amp for home practising
Hello hellou. I use this small amp for teaching my students. Good sound, weight, nice range of sound adjustment. Price is unbeatable. My best recommendation!
Value for money
I'm using it as a practice amp, very satisfied from the sound and the power output, EQ adjusters are working good. Size is small, perfect for my study room and it looks robust enough. Only drawback (in my opinion) is the power saving mode, I don't like it but I can live with it !
Real deal for the price !
Good basic combo amp
I wanted a basic combo amp for my guitar, and this proved to be totally fine for that purpose. The clear sound, which interested me more, is quite nice, and the overdrive is OK. Nice touch-ups include the additional input for your music player (or anything else that can be plugged in with a mini-jack). I am satisfied with this choice.
Great first practice amp
How they do it for the money I do not know ideal for a beginner who just wants to get started without a big investment
This amp has nice clean and weak overdrive but the price compensates this disadvantage. Overall, I recommend beginners, but to play overdriven colors I suggest to buy overdrive or distortion pedal.
Good for the price
The quality of the sound is good, but not comparable with Marshall or Fender.
Super fun
I chose it as my first room amp together with the HB SC-500 and I am not disappointed. The overdrive delivers gutty and sharp tones that are real fun!
The only missing star comes from the fact that the amp picks up my mobile whenever it is using the 3G network. Some better shielding should be present.
The MP3 input has no volume level, loudness comes from the device you plug and in general there is no problem making it very loud as well.
EXCELLENT
This little devil will woke up your neighbors! It is quite loud for such a small box. It is very well crafted, knobs are precise and sound is good!
I recommend it for all beginners and amateur music lovers!
Good beginner home practice amp!
If you have just decided to buy your first electric guitar, this amp is one of the best value for money you will find anywhere!
While it does lack fx features that a lot of higher end amps have, this is great for when you are still learning. It is also very light, so it is possible to take it with you in the car and practice elsewhere!
The volume gets more than loud enough for most use, and the settings are very easily adjusted with the knobs on the front of the unit. You can even plug in your phone and play along straight from the amp, a feature which is lacking in a lot of similarly priced amps!
There is not much else to say about it, for the price you will be hard pressed to find anything close to being as good as this. Well worth the money!
