Amazing speaker

The speaker in this combo amp (celestion 70/80) is amazing for high gain distortion tones.

Sensitive.

A real beauty in every way, take me back to when musicians had total control of their sound, lots of knobs with various names for them, to when a slight move of the knobs made complete change to the sound, the HB80r is that guitar amp.

Internet downloads, "give me a break". This amp is the real thing and sure.

The slight prob is its sensitivity to the electricity supply, my house is 'out in the hills' electricity is pretty 'dirty', so I can't really use this amp at home because of this, I had a 'hi watt' years ago with the same prob, but at gigs, this HB80r is perfectly OK with town electric supply & rings like a bell.

A superb machine for sure, ideal for mature P90 rockers like me.

Not complaining

Price-to-quality is okay. I use it for home practice, never tried it on stage. I would say it keeps a good company, not comparable to expensive amps, this one has limited coverage, and the sound is good, not great, but good.

Great If you are playing in a band for bars, pubs, private events it is perfect for

bringing it along being just the right size to fit inside your car or use in your studio office.

The power it has is just as good as any pro amp, plenty of volume enough to blow your ear drums out. Settings has what you need to perform and is very effective. It could use a delay, other than that I have no complaints, for the price it does what it was made to do. Cheer's

Amazing

Much to my amazement this is a nice amp for playing jazz, I love it and I've got many other amps. Now I always use this one

Big amp and loud!!!. Solid design with basic features and is ideal for a begginer. Hope it lasts a few years.

Some Nice features but sound is crack

There are some nice features such as option for footswitch, external speaker and fx-loop, but i think the sound suffers from the price with all these features.

The basic sound (all 12'o clock) sounds very bass, so you have to turn treble all the way up or bass down to get a nice 'clangy' sound. Other than that the gain sounds terrible and as soon as you crank up the volume above ca.15% the amp starts buzzing and humming.

Personally I would lay down a few more bucks and buy a katana or something. I hope i helped some people with this.

What can guarantee a good, real electric guitar sound? Speaker. Real 12 inch Seventy 80 from British Celestion.Powerful analog sound, nice velvety bass and good gain. I play more on a clean sound and thisHB-80R suits me.

Great quality for its price

Not that bad for its features and the sound is not the best but you can handle it for basic usage and some pedal usage.

Awesome Amp

I'm new to playing the guitar , so I wanted something that would be affordable and something I could continue using as I get better . I'm still learning about settings for the sounds I need , but everything I have put the settings to have put out the sound I was looking for.. This is a loud little amp... I can see myself using this if I was to join a garage band or backyard jam

Awesome cheap amp (for cleans)

This amp has two channels. The channel 1 is good for crunch, It is relatively easy to get good tones out of it as long as it is set loud.

The secon channel is only good as a clean amp or a pedal platform. The gain sounds bad, but takes pedals greatly, thanks to the celestion speaker.

The included reverb is surprisingly good too. But this is NOT an amp for home use. This is loud.

Disappointed

Basically it arrived completely unusable. My disappointment stems from the fact that the entire faceplate broke away from the frame of the amp, and that I am unable to use it due to power issues. I am well aware of the fact that most European electronics require a transformer for the US which is why I purchased this amp specifically because in the product description it did not list a transformer as a required add-on.

Now I am trying to figure out whether it's worth sending the amp all the way back.

Worked great - 5 months in, started malfunctioning

Worked great for the first few months where I actively used it, until one day it started suddenly not giving out sound while I was playing, having to be reset each time so that sound comes back on, so cannot use for live gigs out of fear it'll suddenly fizzle out.

Besides that, it was great.

Great amp for it's price

I'm already using that amp for straight year, and i've never encountered any issues, speaker is great and reverbs is cool

Good value for the money

A clear sounding amplifier for all styles. Pretty heavy but worthwhile having. Sounds better than expected. AC noise present when driving impedance is moderately high (50-100KOhm), will investigate further on that.
