Great guitar for Starting out.

The Harley Benton D-120NT is a great choice for beginners looking to get their first acoustic guitar. It's affordable but still sounds good, with a nice, full tone thanks to its dreadnought shape. The spruce top and mahogany back and sides give it a warm, balanced sound. Plus, the neck is comfy and easy to play. It might not have all the fancy details of more expensive guitars, but it's solid and reliable. Overall, the D-120NT is a great pick for anyone starting out and wanting a decent guitar without spending too much

A little rough around the edges

As expected for the price, the ends of the frets cut a little when sliding your fingers along the neck. I did not notice any other issues however. The guitar looks great, the abalone imitation around the whole looks okay. It is the simplest, most basic guitar, but it sounds great!

Better than it ought to be

I got this for a campfire guitar, having broken my old one. I was surprised at how huge it sounds for the price. Choice of scratchplates included too, which is nice, but a second strap button would have been appreciated. Quite shiny finish and the headstock is a bit big, but general assembly seems sound. I gave the trussrod a tweak and got the action ridiculously low. It sounds nicer than the guitar it replaced, despite being less than half the price, and is even nice to play. Impressed.

I don't really have much to say, maybe u will need to low the action cause its to high but other than that its pretty good

Great twang for your buck!

I bought this as a side thing, for travelling or for when I can't be bothered to fire up the electric but still wanna hear what I play. I've been pretty happy so far. It sounds nice and clear, it looks good and the finish and details are all pretty decent for the price. The guitar not too light and feels sturdy, which is a bonus for me: I don't like instruments that feel too "flimsy".

It plays pretty easy thanks to the big frets and smooth neck, no sprout or anything to complain about in that department. The tuners could be slightly better, but maybe it's just the strings that needed stretching or replacing. I used it to teach a beginner, as well (me on electric, her on this one), and she also found it great.

A solid acoustic at a friendly price, would recommend to any beginner or even advanced player who wanted "just one more guitar" without breaking the bank.

Absolutely worth it for someone with low commitment

One can't really ask for more at the price point this is given at. You get a perfectly playable Acoustic which would be perfect for people not sure if they want to commit since the price point is so low. My only complaints which is totally understandable for its price are the slightly sharp frets, dusty and smelly sound hole and slightly scary tuning process as somethings seems to be under tension.

It sounds good and plays well after slight adjustment

For this price, no doubt it is a value for the money. But mine was not enjoyable to play straight out of the box. The action is too high and the nut also a bit too high it makes the first fret difficult to press. After sanding the saddle and the nut it is enjoyable to play and the sound is amazing for the price range considering the back and side are laminated body. If you are on a tight budget for a guitar I recommend you to take this one, and I hope you prepare a sand paper after you buy it.

A steal for the price

Considering the price of this guitar, the quality exceeded my expectations. I would go on to say that a lot of big name companies are selling average quality guitars for a much higher price. So if you are looking for a budget guitar, look no further.

In terms of guitar setup, I would say that if you are picky about your guitar strings' action, be prepared to do some initial setup. Also, it seems to me that the default strings on this guitar are pretty fragile, so there is a high chance you will break one or two strings while doing your setup. I broke the high E and B by just trying to tune the guitar. So I would recommend anyone buying this guitar to also order an extra set of strings from a reputable brand like Elixir, D'addario, etc.

But overall, an excellent deal!

Great for the Mony - But Needs Work

The guitar arrived very quickly - 8 days - and in great shape. No damage to the instrument at all. The guitar looks spectacular! I was very impressed with the fit and finish in general. I did quickly notice that the fret ends were pretty sharp up and down the neck. I took the strings off to take care of this, and also checked the frets for level. There were quite a few high frets, so that also needed to be addressed. These two issues are important because they certainly affect the playability of the instrument. the action was just a bit on the high side, so I adjusted that at the nut and the saddle. Once these issues were taken care of, the guitar plays beautifully, and sounds quite good. These guitar is absolutely worth more than it costs, but if it is like mine, it will take some work to get it to play really well. But, of course, this would be true of any guitar under $200.00 I think.

Great value

Great guitar for the money. Not perfect, though.

The guitar came well, packaged. The strings were far undertightened (deliberately, for transit I guess). I tuned up the fat strings first and then when I got to the thin E string, it broke almost immediately. So had to wait around and get a new pack of strings.

I fired some nice strings on this thing and it sounds pretty good I think! For the money, I don't think you can beat it. No regrets at all.

Low price, high quality

Picked this up for a family member who's starting to play guitar. Out of the box it played well, good quality strings (I expected to need to change them) and did not need any setup work. The sound quality is full and loud, and the action is suitable for a beginner.

Very pleased with this purchase. A quality starter guitar for a very low price.

Wow,great value

I got his with my own order for a publican friend of mine to save him the shipping cost.He wanted it to keep in the bar for impromptu sessions and singalongs etc.,no point using an expensive guitar as it's going to get knocks and so on.When I unpacked it to tune and set it up

I was amazed at the build quality and finish.Nice tone and volume, and the attention to finish detail is superb.I've bought 3 yamaha f310's with shipping damage to repair and sell on cheaply to beginners, they retail for around 120 euros new.this guitar is better finished, sounds comparable and has a better action out of the box.For any beginner or any experienced player who wants a 2nd guitar for a knockabout or altered tunings I can't recommend this highly enough,a real bargain!

for the money you can't expect the best!

i'll be honest with you, it's not THE best guitar in the world, but let's face it, for around £40 i was just happy to get a lump of wood with some strings! but it IS pretty decent for the price, when it came all it needed was a good setup and the fret edges filing a TINY bit, so not too bad so far!

the sound, again, wasn't the same as say, a Martin acoustic, but for £40 ish it doesn't sound cheap, it could see you through a few amateur open mic nights or busking, so it ain't too bad! if you're looking for a guitar to knock about with your mates or just something you don't have to take pristine care of, then this is good for you, just make sure you know how to set up a good action! :)

Harley Benton HBD120NT

for its price this is a quality guitar. bought it for my girlfriend and she plays it often, it sounds surprisingly good for its price and if you want to learn and lay guitar but dont want to spend money then this is perfect. the action is not too high and its comfortable to play. i have an ibanez that cost me 169 euro and this almost equals it. not a great guitar but a guitar that works well and for its price becomes fantastic. its a guitar and does what its supposed to and does it well for very cheaply.
