Stand up but quality

A superb guitar - set up nicely - plays brilliant - As with any round-back - it is best played standing - or maybe that is just me finding it awkward to keep in place on my lap

Update - I replaced the strings with a lighter set - many months ago - I play it 'as is' no electrics - into a mic and as this instrument matures it sounds incredible

Great guitar!

I'be been playing with this guitar for a long time now and the only thing i can say is that I really love it! The acoustic sound is amazing and i'm in love with the look of it! the only negative point probably is when you attach it to the external speaker/amplifier, in that case the sound is not the best but definitely it's a great product for the price.

Great starter guitar nice and light will teach my grandson on it and I will change the strings to a light gadge but overall pretty nice for the price

It's not bad for an Ovation cheap copy. The price is very good and the sound is quite nice. The distance between the strings and the frets is amazingly comfortable for the fingers. But it has a bridge typical for classical guitars and it will simply not hold. Not suitable for outdoor playing, especially in cold weather.

It's my preferred guitar. Very nice quality and sound.

Good guitar for such a low price

It was the first guitar that I bought many years ago, I still have it, it still works. It had many problems but nothing I couldn't overcome.

You Dot have to spend so much money to get a nice instrument.

Harley Benton have many options for the regular player.

If you dont plan to become the next James Taylor and you love to plug one guitar and sing along or play with friends in clubs at night this is a great guitar for you.

Recommendation, replace the original strings with a set of d'addario phosphor bronze light.

I'm not a massive acoustic player, but for when I'm feeling its charm this guitar does wonders.

A nice clear, rich sound, not too boomy like a dreadnaught, no harsh top end.

I really liked the neck profile, I felt it was close to an electric and the radius of the fingerboard was nice and comfortable.

Quality wise, it came set up near perfect straight out of the box, no finish flaws, only thing I would consider changing would be the strings ( obviously) and the tuners.

Cant get over the quality of this for the price. It arrived pefectly set up. Stays in tune, plays great and sounds good too. This would be ideal for beginers.

Best Guitar

I bought this to learn the guitar and music theory and to do covers of songs.

It came with strings equipped, tuned, and very sexy. I bought strings and a bunch of picks just in case. The shipping (To Bulgaria) was very fast, around 6 days, and the tracking was immediate and often updated. I love my guitar!

There are a few youtube vids that showcase the guitar, just google the brand and model.

The only minus I can think of is that it came without a manual for how to set it up as an electric guitar. There is a panel on the guitar with sliders and buttons but I have no Idea what to do if i wanted to use is as an electric guitar to shred. I guess I should take it to the local music shop and ask or look it up on reddit.

I used it avidly for 5 or 6 months but then I stopped not because anything was wrong but because I got into uni and it's no longer my priority to study guitar. As soon as I finish uni and get back home I will focus on guitaring again I promise.

Awesome guitar for the money!

I've owned a couple of Ovation guitars, and wanted to buy this for my son, because his Ovation Applause guitar was broken. I was very impressed with this guitar. It definetely has the look, feel and sound of an Ovation. It's so close, right down to the headstock shape that I don't know how they get away with it! Fit and finish is great. Binding is nice and clean. Tuners work great. I actually sold the last Ovation I had because the action was so bad, but the action on this is great. Very easy to play and even solo with. To get a guitar that looks, plays, & sounds this nice, PLUS has a tuner all for under $100 is unbelievable. The only cons I can think of are: 1. The stock strings aren't very good. 2. It seems slightly smaller than the real deal 3. The "snowflake" inlays don't really seem to match the autumn leaves rosette. 4. The leaf rosettes are dry and a little brittle & 5. It has no built in tuner with the pickup system but hey...for under $100 bucks I don't feel I can really complain. Lots of guitar for very small price

FEATURES :

every thing is there from this iconic copy, all thats missing is the long haired wig, bandana, rip kneed jeans or spandex pants if you really must and a arm held aloft with the lighter burning.

SOUND :

after a string change the sound is very impressive for the price if a little shrill (only a little though). the volume is all there it projects its sound acousticlly wonderfully loud and proud. plugged in its not quite so good the volume is noticlbly unballanced with the middle strings alot louder than the outer strings. the sound is still good and clear just makes you play a little differntly to compensate for thr unballenced sound.

QUALITY :

paint job is good the 'Leaves' around the sound holes need a very good oiling as they are very dry and brittle. the tuners are adequit for the job. the neck feels lovely with the frets dressed superbly. the back shows a few ripples in places where its been moulded noticebly around the cutaway and neck, no big deal just with the fit and finish of this guitar and other harley bentons ive had its a shock to find a blemish at all.

CONCLUSION :

overall a good guitar that will be played alot.. no wheres me bandana and spandex :D

it's lack of depth in the body is more than made up for in the build. The action is beautifully set.

The frets are spaced perfectly & the sound is really sweet.
