Really amazing for a reasonable price.

Great but...

Unfortunately I was expecting more, I really loved it acoustically but hated it plugged in a PA.. no tuner in the pre-amp.. bit of ground noise.. and no access on the round back to fit new pick up.. pity as it was beautiful to play right out of the box

Harley Benton HBO 850NT

This is an Ovation style guitar. This guitar was playable right out of the box. It really projects the sound well even playing without a amp. I purchased the hard body ABS case with this guitar and it fits nicely. The case is well built too. The decorative panels on top of the guitar face have sharp edges but did not interfere in any way playing the guitar. I think the headstock is attached to the neck using a scarf joint. Well made guitar. I’ve had this for months now and lots of playing. Zero problems. Tuners hold the string tune well.

Great sounding and beautiful guitar

It is a show-stopper, very beautiful finish and design . its light and has a great feel, its very ergonomic. I have play a lot of gigs at friends parties and it never disappoints, its a great guitar for the price that it sells for.

Been playing for over 35 years, average at best. Mostly a 70s rockhead, Stones, CCR... I can play anything if you don’t mind it sounding like Chuck Berry….Ha Ha…

I have about 20 guitars (only 1 acoustic... well now 2...) Some good - USA 72 Deluxe Tele, PRS SE Custom 24 Exotic Top, Ibanez S series, some not so good – the wife has a Hanna Montana Washburn… crazy woman…

I recently bought the HB CST24HB and TE-70 Paisley and loved them so much that I followed up by buying the CST-24T Black Flame and the TE-90QM Trans Red. Now I have just purchased the Harley Benton TE-40 TBK Deluxe Series and the Harley Benton HBO-850NT.

Review of the Harley Benton HBO-850NT:

Pros:

This guitar looks amazing.

Sounds great.

It has a slim neck, the action is nice.

Very light.

Tuners are really good

Cons:

Couple of tweaks to the truss rod, now plays well.

Conclusion:

As an almost exclusive electric player I don't know how to compare this. I have always found acoustic guitar to be hard work, this plays quite nice and sounds very good.

If I can play it , it must be good. 100% recommended.

Great guitar for the price

These guitars are quite nice: good sound, neck, pickup. It may require a little tweaking to get the most out of it, but it is worth the effort.

Absolutely love it

I'll admit I was skeptical over the quality of the guitar due to the low price but I am absolutely thrilled about the guitar. I love it and you definetly have yoourself a loyal customer!

Good value for mones

I use it for jamming always in the car due to small size.good feeling when olaying.Cheap acoystic sound,even cheaper on an amp.with a good pedal effet you cab tweeq the sound to your likings

Fantastic Guitar

I didn't expect much from this guitar because of the incredibly low price but I was blown away by the quality of this instrument. It played perfectly put of the box and even more impressivly, it's been over three months since I purchased it and I still haven't had to chamge the strings that came on it.

78 uk pounds for a guitar ? you've got to be kidding

ok I didn't expect much tbh

bad points first

tuners were not screwed in correctly

(it took 30 secs to do them up with a screw driver and a spanner)

strings on the guitar were awful

(5 mins to put elixirs on it)

it needed a polish on the fret board

that's it

everything else was great and now my small gripes are gone

it is as playable as my real ovation, possibly better

I do however find the string spacing being slightly more than normal a little hard to get used to so this guitar will be for student use mainly

in short a great buy you will not be disappointed at all it looks just lovely and sounds lovely too

Better than expected.

Wasn't sure what to expect when buying this but boy was I presently surprised. I couldn't recommend it enough. I bought it to use in practise as I didn't like carrying me expensive fender around. I honestly end up using this instrument in gigs over my fender. I love the sound it produces and it's real easy to get around. 100% recommend.

Very good

For the price it is impressive. Very good sound especially when plugged.

Mainly use for loop playing.

Good finitions and very nice look.

Only issue is that the inside parts make noise when you shake the guitar. Quality problem ?

Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Tremendous value for money many of my guitar students have these as a second guitar to their starter electrics , they play really well and have decent sound when plugged in too !
