Luverly lush sound

For the money you can’t go wrong, I replaced my Ibanez concert uke with this which cost nearly double, and the HB sounds better in my opinion

Great uke for the price

Great little instrument. Not the best intonation, but good enough, and for the price you cant go wrong. The quality PU and the sound are great for this price range.

Blown away!

What a fantastic quality! My wife has two other ukuleles that are between 2 and 4 times the price and this uke plays just as well, is built as well and, at least while new, has a superior tone. The intonation is spot on all the way up and beyond the 12th fret. The only issue I have is that the frets are a bit sharp, but just the same on the other two more expensive ukes. A bit of light sanding will make this ukulele perfect. There are some beautiful features on this uke, inlay, binding etc., and great tuners, but the overall look is a bit ordinary. However I would not complain about that on a great ukulele!

Great instrument !!

I have more than a few ukes (different shapes and sizes, different woods). This one stands among the best and perhaps has the most interesting look of all I have. Really great thing !

Excellent

Used by my daughter for learning and by me for recording. Have had it now for a month. In short - an excellent instrument.

Pros:

- Clear "ukulele" sound, even with the originally shipped strings.

- The bigger size and the cutout shape of this tenor ukelele enable all styles of playing - soloing, struming, finger picking etc.

- Stays in tune surprisingly well after only a few days.

- The pickup sounds great.

- The inbuilt tuner works well.

- Played well out of the box, has good action, all frets are in tune (even 12th fret and beyond), there wasn't any need for any additional setup.

Cons:

- The build looks a little cheap from up close, but from a distance - looks surprisingly good.

- For recording - will sound better miked by a condenser as opposed to using the pickup, but that may be only a personal preference.

Summary - great for all uses and for the price is incredible.

Great little ukulele

Goes without saying, it's a Harley Benton. My daughter uses it daily as a music teacher in several schools in the area, had no problems with it, it stays in tune and sounds good.

Intonation on higher frets is terrible!

Use: I bought this as a cheap extra tenor uke.

Clarity: The body provides a good clear sound with plenty of volume when played acoustically. It has a bright rather than fat sound which I am ok with as it is a budget instrument. What I'm not ok with is an instrument that sounds so out of tune on the higher frets that I can't bare to play it any more.

Pros & Cons: This is a good instrument in terms of the price as it has a pickup with built in tuner. Personally, I wouldn't have any use for such a basic tuner (buy yourself a good clip on tuner instead) and would prefer if more attention was given to the intonation & fret placement as well as the action of the strings which is a little on the high side for comfortable strumming. This wood finish is really nice and feels very natural and much better than the finish on my over priced Luna High Tide which I will be reviewing soon!

Conclusion: If you are a beginner then this instrument is suitable in terms of budget, body size and the ability to plug it in to an amp or record yourself. I bought a Ritter padded gig bag for ¤29 to go with it. This case is excellent!

If the string action and intonation problems were addressed on this instrument then I would like to try out the upgraded version even if that meant a price increase.

Brilliant Value

An amazing ukulele for this price. Sounds excellent - nice rich tones. Well built and finished. The Fishman pick up is everything you would expect and the built in tuner is very useful. It also looks amazing!

I can't leave it out of my hands!!

Money Well Spent

This to me was the bargain of the year. I expected a good ukulele when I bought it, but did not expect such fantastic quality for such a low price. With its electro pickup, sounding great in any amplifier, it was in the price range of an acoustic only uke. I like the Tenor size. It is far easier to play than the smaller ones and has a deeper sounding quality. I've had this for well over a year now and the battery still has not run out. One little tip though. Make sure you switch off the tuner before you begin playing through an amp, as it cuts off all sound while it is tuning. This happened to me and I even fitted new batteries before I realised my mistake.

Terrific value for money and fitted with the best quality Aquila strings.

Beautiful

Build quality seems very good for this price. I like the built in tuner which works well. In my opinion this ukulele needs some string adjustment by specialist because they are for me personally too far away from the fretboard and it makes playing somewhat uncomfortable. My other ukulele has been adjusted and it is much more easier to play when strings are closer to fretboard. Anyway it is a good buy for this price for beginner.

Excellent Value Ukulele

So pleased with this uke, the build quality & finish are excellent. Great strings & holds tune nicely. Built in tuner is excellent and would cost as much as the uke if bought separately. This is the 3rd uke in my collection - Soprano > Concert > Tenor.... guess it'll be a baritone next. I found some of the chords are easier to hold down on this size uke, or maybe my fingers are too big for the smaller models. like the sound too, a little more of the bass tones are evident compared with the concert & soprano. If it was full bodied (not cutaway) I think the tone would be even better. However,I recommend you buy this uke - you'll not be disappointed,
