Harley Benton SC-1000 WH Progressive Line 5-stars Reviews
excelent
for the price this guitar is an absolute powerhouse for metal providing lots of gain to drive the amp.
A great beginner metal guitar indeed
Pros :
single cut full mahogany straight through guitar
decent pickups
cons:
frets could use a little bit of polishing
Superb value!
Very happy with the guitar.
Superb guitar Excellent value
I bought this as a present for my Brother, before giving it to him I gave i a good try out. There we absolutely no quality issues and it was perfectly finished. I tried it through my set up at home and at first had some difficulty getting the sort of sounds I like. this is mainly because I am not used to Les Paul style guitars and the active pickups were a slight mystery. However, with a little perseverance I started getting great ZZ top style sounds of the back pickup and rich mellow jazzy tones of the front. With my brother it was an instant hit and he got superb sounds from it instantaneously. The guitar is a high quality instrument and whilst I have not much experience of high end Les Paul style guitars and Active pick ups this guitar must challenge many of the medium range models on the market if not some you can pay a hell of a lot of money for.
Above all expectations
I initially intended to use this guitar as substitude for my epiphone SG but soon i realised it could well be a consious first choice.Really good hardware related to value for money ratio.Hope the price stays stable though.
When i oppened the box my jaw dropped, its so beautiful and has an awesome sound too, perfect for the price.
Amazing.
Packaging, perfect, contents, more than perfect. Set up great, sound, great, look, great.
As with all new guitars, the fret board was a bit dry. A rub over with Lemon oil and a clean and all is good. Although there is still dirt on the board which will rub off over time.
The sound clean is simply stunning. With my choice of overdrive/distortion it roars. The volume pot is a little stiff but that will work in over time. The second volume pot is perfect as is the tone pot. Tuners, excellent and over all the guitar is just a joy to play.
A bit heavier than expected but it is a good solid guitar and the weight makes it just sit perfectly.
If you want a great guitar with active pickups that really hits the mark, ticks all the boxes and is just a joy to play, look no further. For the price, it is worth more than it's weight in gold.
I like the sound of the active pickups
I like this guitar so much I also bought the Black model, just in case something happened to one of them. At these prices I had to take advantage.
The pickups are not quite EMG standard but I like the sound so that's all that mattered.
Extremely good the price.
I just got this guitar a few days ago. It was a little off at first. But after a little set up it Sounds and feels great. Three electronics are set up right as Well. And it stays in tune. The only problem odds the binding has some dull spots in it. Buy for the price it doesn't Master. This guitar is awesome. Way better than my others.
