This really small and cheap amp is good for getting a little sound from your electric guitar, but nothing more than that. You can´t expect a great sound from such a small unit. This is basically what you get, a little sound from your guitar. It´s really nice though to be able to switch to overdrive for some funky sound. It´s also nice that you can either run it by a battery or plug it in. I decided to try this as this was such a cheap unit, and it´s quite fun.

A good amplifier for the money. Do not forget to purchase a power supply unit.

The Champ

This mini-amp is the champ. Seriously. Not because of it's sound quality (which isn't bad for what you get, but also not great), but because of it's build quality. This miniamp expects an inverted barrel jack connector (voltage on outer sleeve rather than ground), and it does say it on the side, though it's not easily apparent (part of the molded plastic so it has to catch the light correctly to see it). Well, I didn't know that, plugged a standard barrel jack A/C adapter in, and got the wonderful magic smoke. I thought it was done, but when I reversed the polarity, the amp STILL WORKED. Amazing. It only blew up one diode (probably responsible for protecting the 9v from being charged on A/C power). Line out doesn't seem to work, but I did smoke mine, so it might have before then. Oh well, still impressive for what you pay.

A great guitar amp for the money, I got it because I wanted low power and cheap. It lived up to expectations, the sound is tolerable for playing in a flat, but after you move the volume switch further from the middle it starts to make a lot of noise.

Price performance

It is enough for home study. Use with 9v battery or adaptor.

Good for practicing at home

Small footprint. Satisfactory quality for home jams. Pre-amp

More than the quality, this product has excellent usability. It is compact and makes an excellent accessory to be kept in the guitar bag. Good for small impromptu jams

Cool amp for that money

Yeah, like it is working and able to produce sound of your inputed guitar. What's may be better? Overdrive sound awful, but clean is pretty ok

Not worth it

It doesn’t sound good at all. It’s barely better than nothing. Cheap plastic. Battery cover doesn’t fit. Clean and dirty are the same. Save your money.

It does the job for the price

You can't beat the price on that. It's neat for using just as an amplifier with headphones or external speakers

The cheapest option for a reason

I can confirm that it's quite difficult to close the battery compartment when there's a battery in it - that gives a good idea of the overall quality. Usable for practice with the overdrive (the clean channel is fully useless), but if you want an affordable very light amp that can work on batteries, I recommend the Joyo one, much better value for money.

Pocket fit

It is what the picture says, small enough to fit in many places. The OD is a bit difficult to control, but I don't really care about that. It is so light that if you move the plugged-in guitar cable while connected to the amp, you may crash it, so be careful. It needs grounding, because it gets noisy when I bring my hand close to it and if I move my hands off the guitar. Maybe it's just like that because I have it plugged in to an adapter, I have not tried it on a battery yet. I am still going to use it when travelling.

battery compartment door: too little

I understand that it is an entry level rather than a professional product but: the battery compartment door closes only if there is no battery inserted otherwise it will not be able to close again.

I also tried with batteries of different brands but nothing to do.

Frankly, having to fix with scotch a brand new product, uprsets a lot especially because it is something that even low-priced children's toys can do.

Not fully tried out

This Amplifier worked OK when I tried it but was not suitable for the purpose I got it for.

Small but good

I bought this because I didn't want the hassle of a full scale amp and I have to say I was quite happy with the purchase. If you don't need anything professional and just need it to practice then go for it

Great quality for price

Amp works amazing, has a nice crunch and great distortion! difficult to achieve a clean tone, but wasn't a problem for me.

You can't beat the price

A very good mini amp for the money you pay, especially if you compare with the other brands on the market.

Lets face it its not about the sound quality but in this case you have a loud amp with bearable sound output. The only problem is the speaker but you can't have everything.

Overall this mini amp will get the job done!

A cute little gift

I bought this as a gift for my Girlfriend and she loved it, and uses it alot, could use some more features and a bit better sound and then it would be fantastic
