Solid and great value

Bought as a cheap second bass but has very quickly become my favourite. Fabulous tone, great action and extraordinary value!

I couldnt be more happy with this purchase

I was really amazed with the quality product i got compared to the 99 euro price, i could easily compare this bass with 350E + products, the sound is really clear and warm i like it !!

A great beginner's bass.

The old adage of 'you get what you pay for' does not apply here, you get more than you pay for!

I bought this is a gift for my sister, to discourage her from using my Fender Jazz - the biggest problem I had was giving her this bass, I wanted to keep it!

I had the chance to play this bass before giving it to it's new owner, it's fantastic. The finish is flawless, it plays really well and it sounds incredible! I had my reservations as the price is very cheap but i'd argue that it easily surpasses a Squier.

My main concern would be that the hardware would be sub-par, it's not. The tuners work well and the pickup is of very good quality. It's a great bass out of the box, no need to tinker or modify!

I'm tempted to buy one for myself!

Unbelievable value :)

As a pro bassist I've owned everything from Alembic to Zon, basses costing thousands.... bought this to throw in the van as backup, however; the fit & finish were flawless, the pickup, bridge, etc; BETTER than Fender, played great straight out of the box! ...If I could go back in in time and give my teenage self this very-cool bass, I would be a god. :) Mik.

Great quality for a penny - yes, it happens

This vintage-style precision is difficult to fault, even not taking in mind the low price.

Everything's superb right out of box - excellent finish (including fret edges), good playability due to low string action, and good balanced sound from the Wilkinson pickup - yes, it's not Seimour Duncan, but it's not far.

By the way, i'll particularly note the tone pot - it makes not usual +/- 3 or 6 dB that's so usual for cheap instruments, but it seems that it completely changes the frequency curve, so there is much opportunity to tweak the sound with it.

Comparing it to squier basses, i can put this one somewhere near the more advanced ones (priced near 300 euro).

What a corker!

OK! after selling all my bass gear last year when I could not get in a band, I get a call from old band mates to join them.

So there I was without a bass and little money to buy one.

I saw this at £80 in May and thought it would do for practising at home as it was cheap for a brand new bass.

When I unpacked the PB-50 I was blown away by the finish on the body (really beautiful colouring)

I was instantly impressed by the playability of the bass straight from the box, and she gave a nice vintage sound.

She did need some slight saddle adjustments and a loose tuner, and jack socket tightened, but that could happen on any bass.

Overall I was very impressed with the value for money this bass brings.

I recently bought back my old Ibanez soundgear 800sr and thought I would use the Harley Benton as a back up bass. NOT HAPPENING! I prefer the Harley and the sound is right for our band which plays Rock covers.

I'm actually thinking of buying another Harley Benton bass as I'm that impressed.

Go get one.

UPDATE! Had this Babe for 14 months now and she just keeps on going! The maple neck is darkening down nicely now due to using beeswax, and the body is now mirror like finish. Replaced the nut after the old one gave in after a small knock. And replaced the bridge for a Wilkinson in Black with brass saddles for great sustain.

If She got stolen? I'd buy another one with zero hesitation.

Great value and quality

I got this bass in record breaking time and I was extremely amazed by the quality of the bass I think it is put together well and set up really good from the box with only a minor couple of tweaks needed.

Has good hardware and a nice vintage sound well worth the money :)

Meu ultino bom negocio

1st class vintage style p bass

When i ordered this bass i wasnt expecting too much given the overall price. I have to admit i have been very pleasantly supprised by the look, finish, sound and general quality of this instrument. If like me you like playing around with the finish and generally modding your bass , this makes a perfect platform for a guitar project.

Great product and a great price. i only wish they did this in a blond finish as well. I like it so much im going to buy another one to have a custom pickup fitted too!

PB-50 Bass Perfection

I have been using an American Custom Shop bass for many years, I loved it so much I never bought another bass. When I took the shot and bought this one, I was instantly taken by the quality at such price-range! The classic performance and sound I was aiming for all packed in a truly low priced instrument.

This is currently my main bass, but after I bought this one I ordered two more Harley Benton basses that are also main "go-to" basses for different things.

As for this one again, it's an instrument to be cherished. I will even buy one or two more in the near future so I can modify to my liking.

A perfect bass, I have nothing to say against it.

[Edit:] I will be ordering another one next week for a friend of mine who absolutely fell in-love with the bass, note that the guy is a proud owner of 9 Fenders, two of them that are custom shop models made to his specifications!

Harley Benton PB-50 SB Review

This is an amazing quality instrument for the price. This is the the third Harley Benton guitar I have bought and I have been impressed with all three. The bass needs to be set up when it arrives (which is fairly easy and takes about 20-minutes there are plenty of videos on Youtube explaining what to do) apart from that there is nothing to criticise. The workmanship is of a high standard the guitar sounds as good as some I have played for 3 times the price. I would recommend this bass without hesitation.

Great Bass - OK Pickups

The build quality is great on this guitar, tuners are fine, the nut was cut perfectly (which is rare on guitars at this price range) and the strings were great (d'addario nickel wound).

My only complaint was the guitar needed to be set up, meaning you have to spend about 30 minutes adjusting the pickup height, truss rod, intonation and string height. Beginners might struggle with this so it is important to watch some youtube videos about setting up a guitar or get a friend to do it for you.

The pickups were ok -- on par with the Mexican Fender P-bass pickups -- very warm and vintage sounding.
