12 String Rick Copy

A very nice guitar, the only issue is changing the strings. I suppose you can buy an aftermarket tailpiece, to make it easier to change the strings. Other than that, the guitar is really nice. Paint is awesome, pickups are real nice too.

Alternative to popular name brand

Using onstage live and sounds everybody as good as the other guitar players 6 string version of the industry standard name brand of these guitars.

A real Rickenbacker alternative

This is quite a small guitar but it packs a great sound. The tuners are good as is the finish. I can recommend it.

Wonderful sounding/playing 12 string!

Killer 12-string and amazing value.

I was really pleased with all parts of this transaction. The customer service was great, shipping was very fast all things considered. The price is exceptional. All five stars.

The guitar has exceeded my expectations, the fit and finish are really good; there was one small chip during shipping but not that big of a deal, the ply of the pick guard is slightly separated but glue should fix that. The fret work is awesome, the neck is perfect. The action is perfect after lowering the bridge. I am not complaining, at all. Very happy.

I will say, if you’re playing this guitar while standing expect some neck dive. Not the worst ever but the smaller body does show up in this regard. Great playing position while seated, however.

Needs more work that some of the others

If you are prepared to get this re-strung R*ck*nb*ck*r style [thick strings at the top, not like this [acoustic style] with thin strings at the top] then even with the pickups it has it sounds amazingly close to a 330 or 360/12. How do I know ? Because I also have a 360/12 and used to have a 330/12.

So much of that classic sound comes from being able to pedal bass notes and this can get there with mods that cost less than a R*ck*nb*ck*r case does !!

Great jangly sound

Only an electric 12 String was missing for my collection so bought this. Excellent value and sounds great.

Ridiculous for the money!

Delivered promptly, packed well unlike the last cheap guitar I bought. After a quick tune up I was up and running. Intonation is great, stays in tune but I've not really given it a proper thrashing yet but do you thrash a 12-string???

The finish is exquisite. Again, how they do this for the money is beyond me. Pick ups again are pretty good with nice sustain. Couldn't really justify going for a Rickenbacker but for a tenth of the price, is the Ricky 10 times better? There's a video on You Tube on how to swap the order of the heavier gauge strings so it sounds even more like a Ricky, and is easier on the fingertips I'm going to try. Must be a copyright issue.

Couldn't recommended highly enough. We are living in an age of fantastic cheap guitars and pedals...drink it up!!!

(p.s. Haven't swapped my strings over yet, but doing them one by one seems the way forward from what I've read).

This guitar made me very happy

I have never ordered guitars on this site before, moreover, I was biased against buying a guitar on the Internet, and even more so on a site that is located abroad!

But as they say, money decides everything - after reviewing the video clips and going through a lot of options for myself - which guitar to choose, I decided to buy.

My choice was this guitar, I just never had a 12-string guitar, and I have long dreamed of one!

After a very helpful chat with the support team, I made up my mind. The order was processed and sent very quickly with constant tracking.

2 weeks and the guitar was with me! Perfectly packaged, came whole and without scratches!

I was more than surprised how beautiful this guitar is! Even prettier than the picture! I did not notice any special flaws, although I examined it very carefully! Neck, frets, all in perfect condition! Volume tone, switch, everything works! The tuners hold the line perfectly!

The only thing I had to do was lower the strings to 1.3mm above the 12th fret. From the factory it was 3.5 mm, it was not very pleasant. The whole procedure took 5 minutes. I was a little worried that after I lowered the strings, a ringing would be heard, but no - this did not happen! The guitar sounds just as great as ever!

This guitar is very comfortable to play! The sound is very good - fully meets my requirements!

Of the shortcomings: they are very few, and they are not significant at all)

- The bottom under f is not very well polished, purely visually visible,

- It seemed to me that the strings are not the best, but this is understandable, for such money!

- the tailpiece is divided into 6, not 12 strings

- and as I already wrote, the string height setting from the factory is too high, corrected it!

- it seemed that the sound of pickups is a bit quiet - added volume)

- when I attached the strap, the guitar leans noticeably towards the neck

Overall a great guitar, comfortable and beautiful! The disadvantages are so insignificant that you just shouldn't pay attention to them, but just get used to it!

I'm already thinking about which one to order!

Love this 12 String

This is a great guitar and value. It sounds great and is easy to play. It will give you all 12 string jangle you could want. I would recommend this to everyone. Just buy it.

Great 12-String Electric - Captures the jangle of 60's music

I've had the RB-612CS for over 2 years now. It has great fit and finish. The action was great right out of the box. IMO, The pickups duplicate the nice mid & treble of 'Toaster' pickups.

this guitar was amazing out of the box and i love it . i did a have to tune it but it was perfect

Strings easy to fit when you get the right method.

I was impressed with the guitar. A quick truss rod and bridge adjustment had a good action. The sound is really interesting for all those old tracks such as the Byrd's

.I was initially concerned when I read the review about difficulty changing strings and at first it seemed hard. Then I held the ball end of the string into the tail slot with tweezers and pulled it in with the string . Easy. A very enjoyable guitar

Very fun guitar... after some major tweaks!

I was super excited to receive this as I've ALWAYS wanted a 12 string electric. The guitar looked great upon arrival, however, the bridge had fallen back during shipping and scratched/dented the body behind the bridge a bit. Not super happy about that! Beyond that, the guitar needed A LOT of set up work to get it playable. Firstly, I had to swap the tailpiece out for a 12 hole tailpiece because it comes with a standard 6 string tailpiece. The string were essentially tangled together behind the bridge and would not hold tune at all. Then a few nut slots had to be lowered because they were way too high and making the notes sharp at the first few frets. Then it was on to usual truss rod and bridge adjustments. Overall I put in 6 plus hours of work on this to get it playable. So either I got a (almost) lemon, or all of these need a lot of work. Be prepared to put in some time on this one!

The Great Fantastic, or is it just a solid tribute?

If guitars had fun names like wrestlers, this one would be named "the Great Fantastic". The playability, fun factor, ease of use, craftsmanship and tone will make any player say "oh man, this is GREAT! this is FANTASTIC!"

Item arrived a whopping week before i was expecting it to be delivered. I ripped it out of the box, stretched the strings, spent some time tuning.. because.. 12 strings.. it takes twice as long..

It wasnt until midway through picking away at "When You Walk Into the Room" that i realized i wasnt playing a borrowed RichardN.Backer 12 because i was staring at the body and thinking "wait, this body doesnt swallow me up!"

the tones were near identical in shootouts i watched online and i did one for myself to amuse my friend who possesses a 1960s 12. we both liked playing the Harley Benton more. the 6x6 tuner setup makes tuning take far less time than the famousnamebrand.

my only problem with this guitar is that it didnt exist 20 years ago.

Fantastic

Love these Harley Benton guitars and this 12 string electric is no exception! Received guitar and was very impressed with how it plays. Changed stock strings to my favorite D'addario and installed locking tuners and can't believe how awesome this guitar plays. Intonation and neck are perfect and I lowered the action to my liking and this thing plays like a dream! If you're looking for a nice 12 string electric get this guitar and you won't be disappointed.
