Rockplug lasted 35 days from delivery and died.

I realize now I bought this product out of ignorance of what the market offers. If you need to use your guitar with minimal gear, don't waste your money with these commercial amplug (or whatever they call them) consider something like:

Mooer Radar

or Mooer Audiofile

or even a tiny multi effect board

high quality inexpensive products are readily available if you do your research, don't be fooled by "it's so damn cheap..."

Good for practice

Not the best guitar tone you'll ever hear, but you get what you pay for.

A feature I do not enjoy is that it doesn't work as a clean headphone amp (volume only). You must turn the gain up even a little bit in order to hear anything.

Does what its supposed to...

I am no expert. But, playing my new HB SC-550 through this little thing is fun. Its not complicated and only meant to be a practice tool, but it serves its purpose and keeps my family sane while I practice. For 15 euros, its a no brainer to simply throw in the guitar case.

Very surprised.

When I first plugged this device in I was expecting a thin crunchy tone without much variation, I was wrong. The tone is surprisingly good, it's very rich from a clean sound to a bluesy crunch, through to hard rock. The unit feels sturdy and compact and comes with an internal rechargeable battery. My one criticism is that on a clean sound it loses a little volume, but this is a minor criticism. For this money, you would be hard pushed to find anything of this quality, and indeed exceeds products on the market with a much higher price tag. If you want an inexpensive, good quality practice tool, buy this!

Great for price

This thing really suprised me. For this price this is really great thing for practicing on your headphones. I plug it directly or in my pedalboard and it's really good.

All in all, very surprised

I was expecting a buzzing like bee sound come out of my headphones when I plugged in, but it was not the case.

Lately I bought a 12-watt tube amp, which wakes the family up at night so I needed a small thing to try stuff in the middle of the night. I haven't tried more expensive ones(eg the Vox things) but this one is awesome! It sounds pretty good, both dirty and clean. The tone control can give you a lot of different sounds and tonal agility (just like it should).

The overall feeling is a bit cheap, but at 15 euros it feels great! A big plus is the rechargeable battery and indicator. You don't have to carry replacement batteries around, just your phone charger.

Great little plugin

Bought this little unit to bring with me when I travel. Saves bringing a bulky amp with me for practicing. Did not expect much but was surprised how good the sound was when it arrived. I play through it into a good quality set of headphones and so that will make a huge difference to the sound output. Works great with my backing tracks from my mp3 player on the line in with no distortion on the track

Pros Well constructed

Great crunch sound ( without being over the top )

Good tight fit in my guitar jack socket

Great that it re-chargable

Cons Would prefer the controls on the front instead of the

bottom, but that is just a personal preference

For the price this is an excellent unit. I even tried plugging it in through a small PA system and it sounded great. i do not think anyone would be disappointed with this product for the price

A bargain

Perfect for practicing on guitar without annoying everyone around you! Has a dial for volume, gain and tone to get a variety of differing sounds. You can also connect an external audio player included 3.5mm cable to listen to backing-track while playing along.

It sounds good enough to practice with, so do not expect it to sound like a high-end tube amp. It does not have any FX like some of the more expensive mini headphone amplifiers.

But it is very good for the price.

Pros:

- Well constructed.

- Comes with a mini USB cable for charging and a short 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.

- Recharges via USB

Cons:

- No FX such as chorus or reverb.

Nice plug

Nice little pug for practicing when everyone is in bed. Nice sound when the gain is turned up but offers only a very low clean sound. Good for late night practice.

Good for the price

Really nice little headphone amp, the USB charging is a real bonus and is something my Vox amplug doesn't have.

Good value for money and ideal if you want to get your guitar out late at night when your neighbours are asleep :)

very good for the price you pay

Very useful for silent practicing. It didn't work good for bass guitar (low output) but excellent for e.guitars. I specially liked that you can just charge it... It almost costs like a rechargable battery you would need for more than double priced amplug :) guitar players, go ahead and buy one :)
