Great guitar!

Really good guitar for the price!

Wow, pleasently surprised!

This guitar is a steal. Arrived with a decent setup, right out of the box. a few minor adjustments to my taste and this thing is a rock machine. Well built and very comfortable. I'm still shocked. The stain on the fretboard may have been incompletely cured either that or it just needed to be cleaned. Either way. I can't say enough very good things about this guitar. Better than any LP style I'm picked up for more, Chapman Epiphone to name 2 others I have which are collecting dust now that I have this one. I can't believe I'm saying it, but get one, you won't be sorry. Also if you're in the States, seriously consider picking up more items, parts, hardware, PA gear, hard cases... the prices are great and the shipping is a better deal if you get multiple items.

nice p90 gold top for the price

bought this p90 gt for the p90s sound and i already have the sc450 plus vintage.another great guitar for the price. i wasnt expecting the stock p90s to be that good but they are really quite punchy and sound like a p90 the guitar was well finished no sharp fret ends no blemishes on body paintwork.i buy harley bentons as modding platforms and usually upgrade nearly all hardware and pick ups over time.and i will do so with this one,but if you buy this guitar as a beginer guitarist you wont go far wrong its great value for money and is a very reasonable guitar plays well, sounds good.it does need tweaking out of the box i had to lower action and set intonation on mine and nut on a-string needed deepening as string was too proud above nut but these things are easily fixed and are normal for any new guitar really apart from the nut issue.this is my 3rd harley benton guitar and i will buy more.£133 for a p90 GT LP copy! its awesome at that price

Can't go wrong with Harley Benton

Beautiful guitar and nothing else exists at this make quality for the price I paid. Amazing guitar. May require tweaking for optimal sound but you should be able to play right out the box. Really love the look, so beautiful.

Well done HB!

It needed some work with the intonation.

I lowered the action a bit and raise the bridge a little, to reduce the angle with the strings.

The P-90 pickups are great. They blend harmonically.

The finish is awesome.

I am glad that I bought it.

This beauty inspires me to play.

Be brave and go for it!

Streets paved with Gold

For years I wanted a Gibson Gold Top with P90s, but also for years I've been aware that the Tokai (Japan) Gold Top was rated more highly, so I actually wanted that in preference. However an offer by my poorly Mum to 'buy what I wanted for the Christmas' just gone, still seemed churlish to spend so much seeing as we had her care home fees to pay, so I plumbed for the Harley Benton after seeing YTube demos. Sadly, it turned out to be her last gift to me, but boy has it not disappointed! If ever there was a legacy to live up to - this Gold Top and its P90's does it! I have had to get used to the raw tones of these P90 PUPS, but EVERY demo online of either the Tokai or Gibson reveals EXACT same tonal qualities. The biggest surprise was the fit and finish and the neck profile and playabillity. Out the box the setup was perfect; intonation/fret finish string action too. In fact all I have done is tune it! Make no mistake, this is not a pale imitation, shrinking violet - it rocks your face off! I have a plethora of quality tube and solid state classic amps (13) and a good tone is to be had through each. These P90s are fiercely powerful and will push an amp hard, so little added gain is required. It feels nicer in the hand than my Les Paul Custom but they don't compete on tone as are in different camps. I initially thought this was to be a stop gap just for some much needed fun until I could justify a top brand option, but is no-way I am spending upwards of £1600 for the Tokai or £2300 for the Gibson when this delivers in spades. So, *Thank You Mum*, your legacy will live on in my hands every time I pick this up to play... xx

It rocks

Oh man.. This thing ROCKS! Everything was set up just the way I like it out of the box. No sharp frets. Flawless finish. It absolutely purrs. First thing I did when I plugged it in was to check the feedback on high gain as I expected it to be awful considering its got P90 pups. It isn't that bad really. Overall an amazing instrument that inspires me to play more and priced under 150EUR which is an absolute steal. Need I say more?

Gold Top Gold

I just loved the look of this guitar so I had to buy one. Thought I was taking a risk with such a cheap guitar and the shipping from Germany, but after eight days it arrived in good condition and was well set up. Did need some new strings and a little messing to suit my style of playing but, for that kind of money I cannot complain !!

Unless you’re a seasoned professional, it’s easily good enough

I bought it because the reviews seemed too good to be true, and I haven’t been disappointed…

The most important features of any guitar (Neck, frets and intonation) would not be out of place on an expensive professional instrument.

Good points: It is a joy to play.. Anyone whether learning from scratch, or honing their skills, could have this as their only guitar with confidence…

If it were three times the price, I might criticise the choice of ceramic magnets in the pickups, the machine heads (Tuners) and the quality of the electronic components.. But it’s not three times the price… And those parts can be easily and cheaply upgraded if you’re very picky, Putting it in the same class as many desirably badged guitars…

My favorite guitar

I bought this for a friend as a retirement present.

The guitar sounds amazing. Really great for hard rock and blues. Even sounds better playing jazz than a 335. Love the bridge pick up. This thing just fills the room.

It feels like a real piece of gear. The neck is for sure an old school thick c. It brings a sense of power and presence without making it clunky. Smooth but solid. I really hope all the old school guitars HB makes have the “baseball bat” neck!

Honesty time:

The one I got was not gold. It was copper.

Luckily, it feels and sounds so good my buddy fell in love with it. Named it “penny”.

If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate. I liked this one better than the American LP standards.

Good all round Gold Top

A Gold Top for a fraction of the cost. Good quality build except some fret ends have not be filed down so some work needed here. But for this price you cannot beat it.

Pick something else

I was in initially is super excited to get this guitar but then instantly disappointed when I open the box. Guitar was damaged two frets were loose ,neck has a twist.. And a bridge pin is smashed down into the body.

A lot of guitar for the money.

At the price listed, I could not resist buying it.

I could find no cosmetic issues whatsoever.

The set up was excellent and the fretboard very acceptable.

The electronics are very budget, but work well. I will be upgrading them just for fun of it.

Nice to play and the ceramic P90 pickups surprised me with how nice they sound.

I have some spare Roswell alnico V P90 pickups from my CST-24T, which I will try because I love to fiddle.

Overall a fantastic guitar, and for that price, a steal.

Great guitar. Good value!

I thought this thing would need some work, being a budget guitar, but I didn't even need to set it up! I just put my favorite strings on it and it's a blast!

I love it!

What an amazing sound. The p-90's sing. There is no need to complain about certain quality issues because ultimately they do not matter. So happy with this purchase that I plan on collecting as many Harley Benton's as possible. I give it ten for the price
