Harley Benton SC-500 BK Vintage Series

I've bought this guitar 2 months ago it came by 2 days even though its hundreds of kilometers away. It came well packaged without any damage. It sounds perfect only thing is that its little bit microphonic but you can use it maybe for your advance.. Few bolts were skipping but its not that big problem. It doesnt have any noise its perfectly set up no buzzing at all. Tuning works perfectly fine and smooth and everything is from good material. Its not that heavy at all. I totally recommend this product to you if you dont have much money.

Very Easy To Get Use To Play

Construction is very well built and heavy in weight.

Nearly the equal of Gibson Les Pauls!

This was the first of the eleven Harley Benton guitars I’ve bought in 2024. This, as well as my second, the same in Gold, are entirely the equal of their Epiphone versions. I know that some reviewers have commented that the Humbuckers on these two are not as hot as on Gibson Les Pauls. But I’ve found that with just an overdrive pedal, I can equate them. Thus, I’ve obtained what I want, which is the roaring wail of Gibson Les Pauls, at merely a fraction of that cost!

İlk gitarım

Gerçekten mükemmel ve hatasız geldi. Çok güzel paketlenmişti. 14 günde elime ulaştı. Görünüşü çok hoşuma gitti.

Exceptional quality

Truly amazing level of workmanship on such a cheap guitar. Beautiful frets, smooth neck, great paint work. Only the binding is a bit less precise at the pointy junction of the lower horn, but that is really no big deal - overall this guitar feels great, much more expensive than it is.

The hardware is slightly on the flimsy side but works fine. It is an easy and cheap upgrade, and anyway most people will probably change the pickups. The stock pickups don't sound bad but I replaced them with EMGs 85/60, soon changing them for Fat55s so I can get a more Les Paul vibe.

The tuners are decent, but I replaced the cheap plastic nut with a Graphtec for better tuning stability.

All together, a great guitar as-is, but probably even better as a modding platform. A solid base to get a premium sounding, feeling and looking guitar with a few upgrades.

Amazing build for the price

What you are getting for the price paid is amazing. Finish is perfect, the binding is almost flawless, the weight is spot on, the neck is nice and thick to play even though is it painted. However, there are some details worth mentioning:

- The pickups are super microphonic, waxing needed. They sound a little dark but they are totally usable.

- Some frets are high, this is annoying but might be an issue not all guitars have.

- Tuners does not help with tuning stability. They are cheap and replacement is needed.

- Bridge is a little unstable. Same as the tuners, replace it!

I bought this guitar mainly to upgrade basically everything so no issues for me. Fret work is definitely needed so I have to buy tools for that, but I also bought this guitar to learn how to properly do a set up. So for me this guitar is perfect.
