Playable guitar with impeccable quality

This is my second HB. And I am impressed with this one.

My first HB is SC 450 and It is completely ok for me but It has some small finish flaws. Regarding ST-62. It feels and sound good for me. But comparing to SC 450 it has no finish flaws AT ALL.

I really enjoy my ST-62

tones for days!

This one came perfectly setup, the neck pickup on these models seemed a bit too bassy/boomy on the highest three strings but that minor problem seemed solved when i put ernie ball super slinky's on it.

there's nothing to complain about other than that, and it took just a pack of strings to solve it. It plays like butter!

Great ST Budget Guitar

Everything seems to be great, after 6 months. Little work on the truss rod and no buzzing. For the price I have not found a better value.

Love at first strum!

This guitar has been in my sights for months before I finally had the disposable income free to get it. And it was worth the fawning over, before this I'd had many a 'stratoclone' and they'd all been riddled with some issues, from incredibly poorly functioning whammy springs, to the truss rod not adjusting at all, to electronics being so coated in wood glue the pickups are near impossible to replace.

This guitar felt right, it felt strong, the spring system for the whammy bar hasn't caused an issue for me ever, the action is perfect, the tone knobs are nice and the contrast between 0-10 is wider than I've heard on anything else (outside of active pickup systems.)

the pickups are just wonderful too, perfectly height-set Roswell's that have that sound you'd expect from a clean S-body. Even with the gain is just sounds perfect! Exactly what I wished for from a guitar that's stood the test of time shape-wise. That maple neck feels real special to me too. I think it's the first I've used because it is very different to all my other guitars, it feels dense under the string, doesnt make bending a struggle or anything.

I've been through many guitar's before this, haven't had want for a single guitar more since I got this, just love it.

Nice guitar.

This is a nice guitar and plays well. It is a classic look and feel for a strat-like guitar. Great price and value.

It's a great first electric guitar.

It's a great first electric guitar. Since this is my first guitar, I may not be entirely objective. The guitar sounds great to me, I used to play solid acoustic before it, and the sound experience is great. The neck and fingerboard are well made, I have long chosen between maple and Pau Ferro and am happy with my choice. All bolts and nuts are screwed well, I haven't looked under the hood yet). But not without dirt. The joint of the pickguard and bridge is made sloppily( and even very). And I think this is the last negative. Pegs hold the line well. In General the guitar I really liked and I don't think her return. Greetings to friends from Russia-the guitar reached Novosibirsk in 12 days and Moscow in 5. In short a cool guitar. P.S. Sorry i used a google translate

Looks like a fender relic 3tsb worth 4,5 k $

I use the guitar for indoor playing and recording. So here`s a bit about me. I`m the kind of person who won`t spend a lot of money for gear just because I like it visually. I have read the reviews for this beauty bunch of times and I was delving into the specs for the whole month probably, also watching youtube reviews and all the comments. When it arrived, whoa I was surprised by the finish and the neck texture. It looked and it still looks like a high-end guitar.

I didn`t even have to set the action on it. It has been perfectly set up.

Finish is amazing. I never thought that such a good finish can be done on a budget guitar worth 120 euros. Strings are good but I replaced them with ernie ball .10`s which work better for me. Neck has a nice satin finish for smoother playing which I like. Nut is cut correctly without any flaws. Tuners are also good but I would recommend changing it to locking tuners for greater stability when bending the strings. Pickups are okay for the price, better than noname ones.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GUITAR TO ANYONE WHO LIKES STRATOCASTERS ! :)

feel like john mayer for a hundred bucks or so

it's a sixties strat. I got lucky and had some flame on the back of the maple neck. it's worth every penny and then some. setup was great, adjusted some minor tweaks to my personal liking. pickup and string height. plays like butter. cuts the mix like a knife. what more can a simple man want?

Balanced strat copy

I have several Fender strats and used to own a pre-cbs strat. This HB is not as good a player as my HB ST62BK maple which compares very favourably with the fender. My problem with this is that the neck is not as full in the hand as the maple board HB and the roseacre board is too dry in its feel. The trem arm was too tight a fit and I use the arm from my earlier HB.

The trems on all budget strats are a bit of a compromise.

On a positive note the sunburst body on this guitar is better than I recall my pre cbs sunburst strat had and my current american standard strat has. I may swap the necks on my HB strats.

I doubt few people would find serious fault with this guitar at the price. It feels much as a strat does and looks stunning.

Great Guitar with only one problem

This guitar plays and sounds pretty much like a Squier Classic Vibe, the only difference is the logo and the color of the plastics. If i could change anything about it would be to have it come stock with cream plastics instead of the white it currently has

Awesome guitar.

Now I've had many guitars including Gretsch,Ibanez,Fender Squier and also a few Harley Bentons.

My most recent purchase a month ago was the Fender Squire Starcaster 2019 shape.

This guitar outshines them all.

The finish on the neck is absolutely beautiful.

Very smooth fret ends and overall finish are streets ahead of any guitar I've had at any price.

Unbelievably even though the inspection label said April 19 the guitar was actually in tune.

That is incredible to say the distance and times involved.

I think the reason being that the tuners are the best of any guitar I've purchased.

Very precise and accurate.

The set up out of the box was perfect.

No adjustments to string height etc.

The sound is very Fender Stratocaster and all the knobs work perfect.

Just a side note.

The plastic covering the pick guard is actually in 2 layers so make sure you remove both and you will have a perfect pick guard.

I could go on forever about this guitar but I think you get my opinion.

Just a beautiful guitar all round.

Just buy one you will not be disappointed.

Classic !

Originally purchased to relic ,but when guitar arrived it was too beautiful to rough up ,

This guitar is great quality, paintwork is finger licking ,chrome work perfect, tuners smooth, fretwork level, pickups deliver good strat tones with the bridge being useable too.the trem is above average quality,

I previously purchased a squier classic vibe and was disappointed with the poor quality of the hardware ect, this HB is nicer to own and play.so why only 3 stars for quality?

My wife and I both have one of these but several of my wife's had to be returned for build and fish issues unacceptable at any price. Level, but once sorted with good replacements we are thrilled with our purchase, s

Feels great, even compared to expensive guitars!

I once owned a high-end USA Strat but I never enjoyed playing it. I then moved on to Ibanez Prestige, so I am used to playing "nice" guitars. I wanted to get a cheap Strat for playing blues so I went for this ST-62SB. This thing has exceeded all my expectations! It sounds amazing but the best thing is how it plays. Superbly finished neck and low action means it is kind to your fingers and I can play for hours. I have relegated my Ibanez to the garage and I am using this ST-62 as my only guitar now. Very pleased indeed.

Great guitar if you're looking for the single coil sound

I'll start off with some pros and cons

Pros: The sound is ridiculously good on it, the neck pick up is the best in my opinion but that's with strats in general for me. The tuners are actually pretty good, they're better than on my HB35+ which is about ¤100 more. The hardware feels pretty solid and not easily broken. It definitely looks the part too, I want to paint the pick guard black though, just because I like it more, not because it's terribly offensive to look at (to me at least). There are not sharp fret ends poking out and the output jack is well set and the set up in general is decent. I've only tested Squires in shops, never had one but I've tested a lot: Affinities, Standards, Classic Vibes etc. And I think quality wise it stands between a standard and classic vibe which is pretty good in it of itself.

Cons: There are the usual finish problems you can expect from an HB (although my HB35+ was absolutely perfect) only two though, I'll upload the pictures later. The neck is not what I expected, I expected a skinny neck considering its supposed to be a sixties strat (correct me if I'm wrong!!) but the neck is not much thinner than the hollow body the plastic pickguard protection is annoying as balls as I haven't been able to remove it from under the knobs and when using them it sounds like the guitar came from a cereal box. The colour on the pick ups and the knobs don't match the pick ups are frost white I would say and the knobs are vintage White (you can't really tell from the first picture). By far the biggest con though and I'm sure this an honest mistake and can just get one somewhere else is that the included trembar doesn't fit through the bridge, it's too thick, maybe I'm missing something?

All in all I'm pretty happy with it and I do plan on keeping it for those SRV tones not doing the whole 13 gauge thing though, hope this was helpful for at least one person! *Ps forgive the mistakes it was only so you could hear the sound of it going exclusively through a boss Katana 50, what can I say, I'm a student on a budget and both pieces of gear are giggable so that's a win in my book.

Great quality for the price

Distinct sound on the pick-up combinations, volume and tone knobs work great as well. Sound is overall on the warm side.

I managed to lower the action a bit on the bridge and overall plays and sounds great for the price.

Finishing looks impeccable, doesn't feel or look cheap but that's about it.

I haven't tried the vibrato yet but even if it isn't very good I'm already very happy with the purchase.

Great guitar, it served me well.

This should cost more

This is an absolute steal. If I had to choose between this and a squire I would choose the Harley Benton all day long.

Everything you need from a ST guitar

I bought this back in October 2014 as I had sold my previous electric guitar some months before and needed a cheap Strat copy to play around the flat, and I still play it regularly today despite never having modified or upgraded it besides installing a white scratchplate.

At the time I nearly went for a much more expensive Squier or Vintage brand guitar instead, but settled on this and have zero regrets. The lacquered finish on the neck is utterly luxurious, the pickups sound great, and it feels just like it should, although the C-shaped neck profile felt a bit chunky at first compared to my previous Fender Strat, which had been closer to a V in shape. It was set up perfectly out of the box(unheard of for me, as I'm extremely fussy about the setup of my guitars and previously had come to expect all brand new guitars to play like dogs -not so with this one!)! As with all the Wilkinson pickups I've tried the quality is superb- not perfect, but good enough that I'd need to spend a lot of money to replace them with anything better.

So now for the negative thing. Left in a corner of my flat that had a little bit of direct sunlight for just a couple of weeks, I got back from a holiday to find the laquer on the body had turned a sour, milky colour around the edges, which was a little disappointing at the time, but honestly, for what I paid for this guitar I really cannot complain!

So- looks great, plays great, sounds great!
