Positively surprised

This guitar was bought as a first electric guitar for young guitarist. The Tortoise pickguard was changed with white one, and it looked more beautiful, at least for me :)

The only thing that needed to make this guitar perfect, was lowering the action, which was really easy fix. The frets were good, even so they were polished with Polishing Fret Rubber, and now are perfect. There is no better stratocast3r like guitar for this price. The pickups are great, especially the bridge humbucker.

I love it !

The low price for this kind of quality is fantastic !! It looks, feels, plays and sounds great ! It stays in tune very well. I highly recommend it. It may not be a fender, but for somebody like me, who just plays with his drinking buddies, it is perfect, and a great value ! This my 3rd Harley Benton guitar. All I can say is buy one !! Or two !!

Great guitar for the price

The coil tap added feature is just cool.

Versatile guitar !

Out of box i did some string height adjustment and one of the saddle screws was stuck. Loosened the string and adjusted that one screw with pliers. Frets are nice and smooth , neck feels comfortable and the push-pull works good. Pickups sound good and characteristic. The only issue was the stuck saddle screw.

Outstanding value

For Harley Benton guitars, we all know that you get a lot for your money, you just have to be a little lucky to come across a good piece. Because quality control isn't the best - and it's not just Harley Benton guitars. Many other companies face the same problems.

The guitar looks great, I can't find any flaws anywhere. It can be seen from the tuners, that they are not really the best. As for the pickups, I was positively surprised because they sound quite well. Especially the humbucker is very good (and quite highoutput). The only thing I have to point out is the overall setup. Extremely bad setup on the guitar. When the luthier sets up my guitar properly, I daresay it will be a great guitar - especially considering the ridiculously low price.

I decided to give it a 5 stars overall, because for the money you get a really great instrument.

Almost great!

To be honest, I didn`t expect much for this money. I just wanted an inexpensive stick to practice. But there were some pleasent surprizes.

First of all, in my case, this guitar have coil-split function on Volume Knob. This is nice. Tremolo works fine. Overall sound is ok for the money! Build quality looks ok to me, but bridge saddles could be better ;)

A lot crammed into that price.

Ok so right off the bat, the problems: It's really lightweight. Enough to maybe affect tone and sustain if you notice subtle nuances like that in tonewoods. Personally, I'm deaf.

The tremolo tends to knock it out of tune pretty quickly. I'll replace the butterfly string guides with something more suitable.

that's about it. I'm not a fan of the lighter fretboard wood, but a little Fiebings dye will turn that around if it becomes so unbearable. Otherwise I am FLOORED they were able to fit this much into this price point.

The caramelized maple neck has a satiny smooth finish that is a pleasure to play. The body is slightly smaller than a proper Strat, but honestly that works in its favor with it being light.

The pickups have that singular Strat jangle that I was looking for, and the hot rail is the perfect thing for those that still want to have that strat single coil in the bridge sound as an option.

I will be ordering many more Harley Bentons in the future.

The best guitar for your price !

The guitar came to me in perfect condition, just everything is as it should be! Roswell pickups sound great !

The rail humbucker is very powerful and gives variety in sound. In general, if you need a great guitar for a small price tag, then this guitar is exactly for you!

This guitar is great...plays and looks super. The neck is very nice. I say "buy it" and play it..

Dream guitar

This is exactly the sound I've been trying to get with other guitars,play ability is awesome and smooth, I set the action lower,no buzz, setting up the trem and intonation was a breeze.

For the price, 5 star

Awesome fit and finish (for the price). Necks looks like satin, definitely did not expect this and is extremely nice. This guitar looks better in the flesh than the pictures.

Setup was quite good, just had to tune and entirely usable. Action is high, but also adjustable.

Variety of tones is good (5-way switch, 2x single coils and 1x hot blade humbucker).

The rear plastic cover is not finished well though, just cosmetic and easy to resolve.

Overall, great guitar, very easy to recommend. The Roswell single coils are not the best sounding, but also easy to replace/mod with such a good base to start from.

Nice guitar for its price

All parts are assembled neatly, pickups and guard are covered with a protective film that can be easily removed. All the controls and the switch work as they should. The guitar is easily tuned. The only slight minus is that the edges of frets are a bit too scabrous which could be easily fixed with fine sandpaper (it took me less than 5 minutes to fix the problem). I like the guitar.

My better investment $130

If you take this guitar in your hands or look at it carefully, it is immediately clear that this is a budget guitar.

But I can’t say the same about the sound, it’s just beautiful. True vintage stratocaster sound.

I also want to note the neck, it is made better than on many guitars much more expensive than this one.

Outstanding quality and tone for the money

Raised in America, I have had ready access to Fender products my whole life. This guitar is almost as good as most American Strats. It is, without a doubt, better quality in workman ship and over all richer , fuller sound than any Fender Squire or Mexican made Strat I have ever heard or played. The humbucker/single coil splitter is a game changer. Even shipped from Europe, the guitar was setup and in tune. I would recommend this guitar to anyone.

Amazing for the Price

This guitar is my first Harley Benton product, which I bought after reading an article praising it. I commonly play the likes of Nirvana songs, but love ST-style guitars so this guitar with its Hot Blade coil-splitable bridge pickup seemed to be made for me. So far, in my few days of owning the guitar, I have loved every moment. This guitar sounds amazing for everything I play, which can be anything from Gojira to Pink Floyd. The mix of the Hot Blade bridge pickup with the single coils makes for a very versatile guitar. The guitar plays and feels great, and looks amazing. I chose to switch out the pickguard for another Harley Benton pickguard, which fit perfectly and was easy to install. The vintage style tuners feel high quality and hold tune impressively well. For how this guitar is priced, it is a great purchase for any guitarist looking into an ST style guitar - beginners and veterans alike. The guitar's quality and sound are far better than what anyone would expect at this pricepoint, as seems to be so typical with the Harley Benton brand. I am very happy with my purchase and would happily reccomend to anyone.

Hot Rod is really HOT!

The Hot Rod is real quality... good build quality.. Sounds superb!... neck not oversized.. pick ups are fantastic!.. Push Pull volume really works love the sound of the hot rail bridge pick up.. overall for the price Harley Benton keep providing great instruments and hope continue to produce instruments with different pick up configurations!
