Harley Benton ST-Travel Candy Apple Red Reviews
Unplayable
Very poor craft, very raw, needs to exchange all the parts, but what’s the reason? It could be more expensive, but at least demonstate some quality.
Plays nice, looks cool!
Have a strat so tought it was nice to have something diferent! Looks really cool and plays as it should!
For the price its a bargain!
A good one for the price
Mine came with a problem with neck's angle, it's screwed wrong I guess, turning to a side so the bottom string is not where it should be on the fretboard. So I can say that quality checking is not working well there.
But other than that it's better than I expected. Nice neck, really clean sounding pickups. Not that much sustain but still sounding good.
Tuners are bad and it has some neck diving problem but it's such a good guitar for that price. So small, so light, interesting looking.
Nice little guitar.
If you're looking for something unique, here it is. Sounds good and plays easy. Love it.
Sounds good. The tuners were cheap and loose when tuning.
Great portable guitar
Let me say this . Its a great portable guitar and perfect guitar for beginners.
I'm not a beginner though and I bought this guitar for travel and practice but I have to say this.
Out of the box
1. Tuners are the most chinese tuners ever made and you cannot get the guitar to stay in tune not even for 5min
2. Pickups are very cheap and noisy
3. String action is rather high and you need to fight with the guitar
So i did the following.
Replace the tuners with Fenders.
Change the electronics
Neck DiMarzio Cruiser
Middle Seymour Duncan SSL 1
Bridge Seymour Duncan JB Hotrail
Change the location of the strap pins because their factory placement is on the back side and its quite uncomfortable
Now the guitar is ready for serious playing and even touring.
Keep in mind I had all this hardware from other older guiatrs already. So if don't have spare parts and you want to do this mod it will be quite an unnecessary investment!
