Great guitar for its price. No flaws out of the box, good build quality. Not the best pickups, but good enough for what you pay. The best pick for a beginner or someone looking for an upgradable project.

Love this guitar

Fret ends were a bit sharp and the nut is cut too deep and is off centered in the slot but overall I'm really enjoying it.

After almost a year of use, I can say that the guitar is quite good. Powerful sensors, comfortable neck. High level quality control.

Great for starters

Bought this as a project guitar I could mess around with. I put in Harley Benton locking tuners, adjusted the bridge, put in a SD Invader on the bridge and painted the pickguard white and now it's worth has probably tripled. From the box it's a great sounding guitar, the playability is as close to perfection as you can get within the price range.

Great value for money, poor quality control

The guitar is 99 euro and there should be no suprise when it comes to the quality of certain parts or maybe blemishes on the finish.

However, the pickup switch was soldered backwards, which would be unfortunate for someone who doesn't know their way around guitar electronics. Luckily, it was a quick fix.

Additionally, a couple of screws on the bridge were worn out, but that's not a big deal.

Neck and frets - I think I don't have to say anything, the guitar is 99 euro, you have to put a little bit of elbow grease in her.

To end on a lighter note - the pickups are superb and the overdrive/distortion you get is pure rock/metal.

Just up the quality control a bit.

Great for the price

It’s a fantastic age we live in that we can buy cool looking guitar with decent quality for this cheap. You must do your own set up or pay for a set up, the guitar is not playable without imo

great for the price

the guitar is great, especially for those in a budget price range/beginners. minor issues lack in intonation and guitar set up which can be fixed at a local setup shop.

Dark Tele

Beautiful dull black appearance, strong sounding, affordable metal style.

I'm statisfied with it.

Very happy with the guitar given price point

brought as a gift for someone wanting to learn guitar, prefer it to my own (much more expensive) guitar in many ways.

finish is gorgeous in person, plays very well with good neck dimensions.

at this price i was expecting to perform a full setup, in reality i just had to drop the string saddles a touch as the action was a little high however the truss rod and intonation was good out if the box.

sounds is very good, nice and warm.

only slight issue is the fret material seems to be rather cheap, a bit rough maybe, is audiable when bending if you have an ear out for it. however in sure this will not be an issue after a good break in period.

all in all a very good product.

Better than expected

At the price point I was expecting some areas to be somewhat disappointing as I once had a very low cost guitar that had quite a few issues. But the TE20 HH SBK that I received had only a couple of issues.

The action was a little high on the low E string and the intonation was off on the same string. I adjusted the action and replaced the strings after which I adjusted the intonation. Fortunately the only string that needed attention was the low E string as the other strings were spot on. But those were the only issues that needed to be attended.

The fit and finish of the guitar is actually very good. The neck and frets are very nice with no fret sprout or roughness on the frets. The neck joint is very tight and strong. The finish of the SBK is also very nice and I kind of look forward to seeing how it ages with playing it over the coming years. It will be cool to create my own patina to the guitar.

Surprisingly Good

Honestly very impressed. No sharp fret ends, no dings in the finish, everything looked great! The setup was pretty bad out of the box. Action was miles too high, intonation was all out of wack, truss rod was out of alignment. If you’re a beginner, you’re gonna get to learn the ins and outs of this thing right away. It’s not a bad thing though, I wish I had learned all this stuff when I started. I do wish the pickguard was closer to standard so I could replace it more easily. All in all though, it’s such a massive steal at this price.

Does the job, and does it well!

You get what you see, possibly more, with this guitar, from the price what are you really expecting?

Expectations were set at a paltry 3-4/10 and this guitar has totally exceeded them, solid, well finished and considering buying each competent individually would more than triple the price you can’t go wrong.

Took about an hour of set up - truss rod, action etc but from there has served me well, it’s been 6 months since the initial purchase and it feels like it’s really settled in. Stays in tune surprisingly well.

Harley Benton has truly gained my confidence for budget but reliable guitars, currently awaiting shipping for another purchase based on the merit of this one.

Great guitar

Good guitar with a good sound. Good pickups for metal. One minor inconvenience was that there were like 4 loose screws just bouncing around in the guitar. Had to open it up and get them out.

Great beginner guitar

I chose this guitar as my first guitar when I decided to learn playing guitar, and I'm very satisfied with it! It looks amazing, plays well and is a very great choice for beginner players. The only slight issue I have with the guitar is that mine is on the heavier side (around 4.4kg the last time I weighed it), but everything else is great! I love that it's a pretty hassle free guitar, changing tunings and doing basic set-up is very easy (the required wrenches and a screwdriver are also included). Great beginner instrument for people on a tight budget

Not bad for the price

This one will take some work. I'll need to level the frets and switch to lighter strings because the truss rod is as tight as it will go so I am stuck with too much relief in the neck. I should be able to make it playable.

Really incredible

It just looks bad ass.

It plays great.

The price is ridiculous.

It’s a heavy version of a tele. Don’t expect the twangs from these pick ups.

The shape and the colouring is great, came absolutely perfect in delivery.

May even get the strat version too!

Only gripe is the fretboard. It just doesn’t feel right with the painted frets. But still plays great.

Good price to quality ratio, but don't expect good setup out of the box

This is a quite decent beginner guitar. It has a good look and feel, but not a perfect setup out of the box. Top 3 thickest strings are too low and rattle against the fretboard, creating an unpleasant sound sometimes. I tried tweaking the truss rod, but some rattling still remains. I guess I'll have to bring the guitar to luthier.

Could not ask for more at this price.

I have been playing for a long, long time. I own and have owned a number of guitars in my time including stuff from Gibson, Fender, Epiphone, Squire and Ibanez.

Ok, there were a few sharp fret ends out of the box and a little tweeking was needed to get good playabilty. The pickups, although not terrible, are a little weak and mushy sounding. So far I have replaced the bridge pickup with an Iron Gear an will eventually replace the neck. The nut and string trees I decided to replace. Mine was an early one so the strings top load, I might get someone to convert it to strung through the body. I have really enjoyed playing this guitar over the last year or so. With a little TLC and afew mods I belive it to be the equal of a considerably more expensive instrument. This was not my first HB, nor will it be my last.

It's worth it

Much, much better than the Squier Affinity line. Not as good as the Squier CV line but really worth it for the money. The best thing about this guitar? Out of the box ready to play!!! Setup is nice. Fret ends are okay (i.e., doesn't bother my playing). Wood is dry so I'll have to apply some oil. Frets are rough at some spots but can be easily polished. Tone okay but I'll probably swap them out with some Seymour Duncans. Overall, I recommend it.
