good for cheap guitar

The guitar is good for its price, but the frets clink and if the strings are set low it is very unpleasant to play. At the same time, the sound in the neck is cool, the bridge is not very cool.

The tuners are bad, they don't hold the tune

Good value for your money

It is the cheapest guitar I have ever bought. I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the construction and the sound. Not as good as my Fender telecaster, but a good study guitar for my students. Now I don't have to worry they damage my Fender :-)

Great for the price.

I live in Michigan and the guitar took 2 months to get here. I thought it must be destroyed because it arrived in just the small box, no outer big box. The box had several big holes in it and the whole box looked very roughed up. I took the guitar out of it and was shocked to see it was fine. The set up was good, action a bit high but not bad. The tuners are crap but they do work. It sounds good enough, but the pickups sound pretty thin, even for a tele. The neck is nice and reminds me of an American Stratocaster I had in the 90's. The frets needed a good polish. Paint job is stunning.

I will be buying several more Harley Benton's, just hope they show up in a proper 2 boxes. It was a miracle this one was in one piece. Still waiting on the stand i ordered at the same time.

Never played a telecaster style guitar before, but the quality of this guitar is amazing and a great sound get one before they sell out or they start selling for the price they are really worth.

I ordered from Mexico, paid import taxes on top of shipping and it is still a great value instrument.

Great little guitar

Im a beginner, and struggling to learn for months, this , really helped, its so easy to use, addictive and it might need a few upgrades here and there, but the best 89 euro i have ever spent.

Blue Bayou

Looks great. Lovely colour. Let down by really cheap and nasty pick-up switch. Arrived wildly out of tune, which took a little while to fix.

£80 tele, unbelievable?

I bought this purely for the colour, I've always fancied a 'lake placid blue' tele so when I found this I couldn't help myself. The colour has a lovely metallic quality to it. Now onto the sound, the pickups provide that classic tele twang and the setup was pretty much on the money for me. The level of quality far surpasses the cost! Buy one now and see for yourself

Amazing Guitar!

Amazing Guitar for the price, amazing guitar for a guitar 4 times the price!

Pros:

Really surprised at the quality of this guitar, I bought ST-62SB which I wasn't entirely pleased with (the pickups aren't great) and I've bought the SC450-Plus which is excellent, but for the price (85British Pounds) delivered to my door this is amazing! Its a beautiful looking guitar, very solid, spotless paint job, a lovely neck, solid volume and tone knobs and pickup switch. Sounds great especially the middle position , it really sings sweetly up the neck. Perfect for a guitar to get that Country Guitar Sound.

Cons:

Well for price I cant really complain but if I was being really picky, I would say the tuners are ok, but not great, I mean they hold the tuning ok but they don't feel smooth, unless they just need played in (so to speak).

The pickups are good, as I say particularly the middle position, but I would have liked more of a tone variation between middle and bridge pickup. But for 85 Pounds , I cant complain, if you were super fussy you could swap the pick-ups and the tuners over and have a fantastic guitar, I just wanted an extra backup guitar and I didn't have a 'tele' type guitar, so I will be leaving this as it is.

Very appy with it, seriously if I walked into a Music store and this was on sale for 500 Pounds I wouldn't be surprised... 85 pounds people!!!

By the way the neck is lovely and comfortable to play on , I've recently started learning that Jimi Hendrix/Curtis Mayfield style (Little Wing etc) that style is so easy on this guitar because of the shape/depth of the neck.

Buy one you wont be disappointed!!!

Very well finished, but tuners are a let down

It’s very hard to be critical of a very very affordable telecaster.

The neck plays very well and the sound is true. The finish of both paint and neck is equal to guitars with an extra zero tacked on.

My only criticism on an otherwise perfect guitar (for the price), is the tuners/machine heads. They feel gritty and notched when turning them. It’s a minor point considering a decent set of tuners could set you back much more than the cost of the guitar....

It’s well balanced, decently priced and looks great!

Just beware of import duty and freight costs. It doubled the cost of this guitar! Next time I’ll order less guitars!

Wow!!!

I cannot believe in this day and age, that so much quality can be obtained by so little outlay (including p+p around £85.00.) I own better but I've paid up to eight times more! I bought this guitar out of curiosity having watched many u tube assessments and thought I'd give it a whirl. Do yourself a favour and get one, you will NOT be disappointed.

Fit and finish are wonderful, it is a beautiful guitar. I will continue to look for Harley Benton guitars to add to my collection.

How is this only $90?!

This little guitar is fantastic, put this thing head to head with a Squier Bullet or Affinity and it would win any day of the week. Keep in mind that since I had to wait for this guitar to restock, the one I received was most likely brand new stock. Your experience may differ depending on how long your guitar sits around in the warehouse. Out of the box this thing was setup completely. The action was great, the frets were level and polished, the neck was straight, and (most shocking of all) the fret ends were smooth . All I did was throw some D'addario 9's on there and pencil in the nut a little. Every bit of this guitar looks and feels great. Tuning stability isn't perfect, but it holds up well enough.

Despite the ceramic pickups, this thing sounds fairly crisp. The neck pickup has those bell like Tele tones and the bridge has a fair bit of that Tele twang.

Everything is done carefully, the sound is good! very thin and slightly rough frets! I think over time they will replace it with more standard ones! And so recommend!!!!
