Harley Benton TE-52 NA LH Vintage Series 5-stars Reviews
Twang heaven
Everything a telecaster should be, it looks, feels and sounds amazing for the price. Only downside is its weight a tone⦠itâs like a coffee table around your neck ð
Incredible value
I’m a beginner guitarist, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I upgraded from a sammick strat copy, and this thing really sings, great feeling neck, only issue is the weight, otherwise no regrets
probably the best Tele for under £600
I recently purchased the TE-52 Harley Benton guitar and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. This guitar delivers the classic Telecaster sound that I was looking for. The twang and bite it produces, especially when paired with gain, is just what I was hoping for.
One thing I really appreciate about the TE-52 is its construction. The combination of maple and ash for the body is a classic choice for a Telecaster and it definitely adds to the overall aesthetic of the guitar. The build quality is exceptional, and the guitar arrived in perfect condition.
The only minor adjustment it needed was a string change and a setup, which is to be expected with any new guitar. Once I made those adjustments, the guitar played like a dream. The action was smooth and the intonation was spot-on.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the TE-52 Harley Benton guitar. It delivers the classic Telecaster sound that I was looking for and the build quality is impressive. With just a string change and a setup, this guitar is ready to rock. I would definitely give it 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone in search of a great Telecaster-style guitar without breaking the bank.
its heavy and this might put some people off and side by side its the same weight as my Gibson Les Paul ( full weight )
Simply beautiful
This is an awesome guitar. I have 3 Harley Benton’s and with the others there are small build blemishes or finishes that I am happy to accept for the money. It has that T Clangy sound perfectly. this guitar is stunning and finished perfectly. I have guitars I spent €1k+ on that can’t compare. One thing I didn’t like is the kneck pickup is poor and the pots don’t quite give control across the range. But having said that it doesn’t take from this incredible T shape guitar
Great build quality
Nice guitar, but too heavy, just like the ones from Artist. 8 lbs or less would be nice.
How much???
This guitar came ready to rock and roll right out of the box. What a fabulous, quality instrument, easily keeps up with a much more expensive equivalent, and then some. An awesome guitar for less than the price of my latest pedal.. In fact my next guitar will be another Harley Benton. Blew the spots off my jap strat.
Staggering quality for the price.
Substantial guitar, neck feels fabulous.
Worth far more than asking price.
Queen bee
Hard hitting true tone rhythm guitar.
A Real Beauty
Never owning a Tele, I decided to find out what all the fuss is about. This is surely one of the most cost effective ways of doing so. It is a real looker with the natural wood and that neck! Change the name on the headstock and at a multiple of the price folk will still be happy. The pickups go from in your face twang to jangly with a slide of the selector. Sustains forever spinal tap style 😃. With small adjustments can get a nice action, neck radius is very nice. Feels very classy in your hand with the setup, weight and finish.
What may put people off, the weight is substantial but that is user dependent. The tuning could be more stable, will monitor as I break this one in - tuners have slightly different feel high to low. Thicker neck can make it slightly more difficult to thumb over an F chord - practice.
Super Tele - whether to buy another one 😁
Quality for price
Amazing guitar for such a low price . Amazing
Stunning guitar
I’ve had this for a few months now and it’s become my main guitar. My beloved candy apple red Fender Stratocaster barely gets a look in at the moment. This lovely blackguard Tele is so playable. Satin smooth neck which fits my hand superbly, great fret job. The body is weighty but it’s perfectly balanced. Sounds great through the very few effects pedals I have. I can’t fault it. So well put together.
Itâs a keeper
After searching around various brands and styles. I couldn’t pass up this ash body maple neck tele. i don’t care what the price tag says man, the tones 100% tele. only complaint is its a little heavy but man, that tele tone screams
Absolute Belter !
This guitar should be 4 times the price. Beautiful sound and outstanding quality.
With a little workâ¦
My left handed TE52 arrived in perfect shape. The only issue I had was fret ends being a little sharp. Sounds more “Tele” than a real Tele! The Ash body IS heavy, but handles and looks awesome. I haven’t changed any hardware yet, as everything works fine. I’ve had it for about 6 months, and plan to keep it! My 4th Harley Benton.
Good guitar for a start
I ordered this guitar a few months ago and I do not regret it. the guitar has an excellent price, accordingly, many people can afford it and this pleases. I liked the design, I love the classics. a good sound adds advantages to this instrument. in the segment of inexpensive guitars for the left-handed, this one is clearly one of the leaders. I recommend it for purchase!
tele
love this guitar ! way better than a squire' the only bad thing I can say is she's heavy ' lol 5 star
Beautiful
What can I say about this guitar that hasn't already been said?
It plays and sounds fantastically for the price, has a nice weight to it and the neck feels perfect for a Tele
I can't put it down
Can't Go Wrong
Set to taste and go. If you got the hands you'll get the sound.
Brilliant
Bought this guitar a few years ago and it has been one of my favourites ever since. It can honestly give guitars that are ten times its price a run for their money. I recently had a go of a fender telecaster and my trusty old Harley was easily better in my view.
Amazing overall, apart from a few quality control misses
The guitar has a great tone with the included pickups. Selector switch feels solid and the volume and tone knobs feel nice. Nut was cut nicely and fret ends were not at all sharp and were nicely sanded.
Tone Knob: The tone knob is a linear knob so it really just feels like one or the other in terms of changing the tone.
Tuners: Tuners are of course nothing to celebrate about but they do work well as can be expected from this price range. However, my tuners came misaligned and not very straight so I had to unscrew they slightly and line them up.
Quality control issues: Probably the biggest let downs from this guitar are the QC issues. My Guitar came with a 12th side fret marker also on the 9th fret. This can make it confusing sometimes where I think I've gone to the 12th but I'm actually sitting at the 9th. some of the pickguard screws were drilled in at an angle so some of it protrudes out and isn't flush against the pickguard.
Overall non of the QC issues affect the sound, so overall a great guitar, just wished the QC could've been slightly better.
