Harley Benton TE-62CC LPB 5-stars Reviews
Best bang for buck guitar i own
I've been eye these for the longest time as I had a huge tele itch to scratch. Reviews were phenomenal, and to my ears it sounded great, so I pulled the triggers. Boy, was it worth it. The blue finish is absolutely gorgeous and goes so well with the min green pickguard (i only just discovered another layer of plastic peel weeks after peeling off the first one) and the roasted maple neck. The neck pickup is absolutely one of my favourite neck pickups, not so crazy about the bridge though. Pots feels great, switch is decent. electronics are dead quiet. My only gripe was that the neck angle wasnt great so past the 12th fret the action was inconsistent with respect to the rest of the neck but that took 5 minutes and a strip of a credit card to fix. Frets were also very very slightly rough but again, literally a minute job wiping the neck with sandpaper. For the money I honestly dont believe there's anything better. Absolutely recommend!
I didn't expect such quality
I've owned this guitar for almost a year now, and I am absolutely happy with it. It has perfect build quality; the neck is very well fitted, and the color finish is excellent. It holds tuning very well. After a year of use, there are a few things I'd like to upgrade: the bridge, because it is really difficult to set up perfect intonation, and the bridge pickup, as I want to replace it with a humbucker.
Benton for the win!
Player for over 30 years. Rock, metal, acoustic styles. Fenders, Ibanez, Jackson, Charvel, Yamaha, 2nd Benton purchased. This thing is a sweet playing instrument. Very well set up. Just needed slight action and pickup adjustment. Stop thinking about it and just buy it. Sooooooo good.
Sexy
Feel like a beast holding it
Fantastic quality and price!!!
Beautiful guitar, my daughter who is a beginner has come on really well since getting it for her birthday. I've been playing for about 45 years ad I love it too. Thoroughly recommended
WOW!
I ordered this Telecaster a few days ago and it has now arrived in a very safe box. It looks super nice! Excellent wood materials and the color finish is very well done. The roasted maple neck is very smooth. I was also surprised because it came in tune and it sounds very good. I am delighted by the sound quality of these Harley Benton Tesla pickups. I might just buy another telecaster in another color very soon.
Thank You
Oh my
I can only speak for my copy, so here it goes:
- neck: great shape, my left hand doesn't get tired from chords in standing position when using this one (12-inch radius). On the 95.-inch radius I get tired more easily. The colour is also really nice. Thin satin finish, smooth, but not Fender smooth.
- pickups: the neck pickup is really warm and quite loud, I had to lower it significantly to match the volume of the bridge pickup. At one point the screws just turn, but you do not see it go down: just push it down slightly and it moves. Resistance on both is about 5.6kOhm.
- electronics: mini pots, but they do the job just fine. The tone pot has a .022uF capacitor and has a wide spread. No shielding, but I think it is worth investing in it.
- body: great colour, not exactly like in the picture. not heavy
- tuners: just fine, they hold tuning; tested with D'Addario and Pyramid strings.
- fret work: leaves a bit to be desired. There is some scratching and buzz in a few places, but overall good.
-how it plays: really good. you can get used to it and not touch other guitars for longer periods. It likes overdrive, distortion and loud amps. Good middle position on the pickups as well.
All in all, I absolutely do not regret buying it. It is a fun instrument with a lot to give.
Amazing
Absolutely an amazing guitar
With an interesting sound
Wow!
I am genuinely impressed. This is my first Harley Benton and I could not be impressed more. The quality on the details is staggering, kudos HB.
I would be glad to pay for a model with better pickups, string locks, etc. but the same neck and body.
It played beautifully straight out of the box and sounds great, I bought it to mod but to be honest it doesn't need it for the price it's great!!!
fanastic guitar all around
This guitar gives me what i expected from a Tele, it's built wonderfuly and plays easily' also sounds great!! amazing product for it's price!!!
Amazing guitar , for the price itâs almost perfect
Great sounds right out of the box and intonation just fine. My volume knob was a bit loose when it came but I live in Canada and imagine it had a rough trip. Package was delivered with good protection nonetheless. Really impressed with the neck and pickups most of all . If you like rock this the one for sure
Incredible Quality At An Unbeatable Price
I had wanted a Telecaster-style guitar but did not want to fork out a ton of money after having a negative experience with both a Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster and a Fender Player Stratocaster. I had heard that there were QC issues with Harley Benton in the past, so I kept my expectations realistic. However, once I opened the packaging, I was blown away. The fit and finish, the satin feel of the neck, and the pickups were all on par with guitars that cost over three times the price of this one.
In my opinion, as the owner of a few Gibsons, Fenders, and higher-end Squiers and Epiphones, this definitely sits between a Squier Classic Vibe and a MIM Player Telecaster in terms of playability and feel. If you're on the fence, get one. The only minor issue I had was a slight intonation adjustment out of the box, but that was it. Zero fret sprout, very clear and punchy pickups, and an incredible finish at a fraction of the cost of its higher-end counterparts? I was a sceptic based on numerous YouTube reviews, but now I am sold on Harley Benton!
If you're on the fence and are looking for a telecaster-style guitar but don't want to spend over three times the amount, just do it. You'll be pleasantly surprised! One bit of advice if you're having this guitar shipped overseas; let the guitar acclimate for at least an hour; you'll thank me!
TE-62CC LPB - Excellent Value
Guitar arrived well packaged and within the estimated timeline. No damage and guitar was Reasonably setup on arrival; some minor fret level inconsistency but overall very smooth and playable. Sock parts are acceptable but I opted to upgrade the dime pots to full size pots/Orange Cap 0.047uF, three-way switch, Gotoh bridge/saddles and Gotoh locking tuners for personal preference; the pickups sound good and will stay but I will eventually change to a better quality nut in due course but the stock one seems well cut and is doing the job for now.
12" radius D neck has a nice feel. I have a Fender Ultra Telecaster which has a compound radius D neck and there are some similarities to feel at the higher registers but the HB (not compound radius) is a little beefier closer to the headstock; this is not a bad thing at all, it is just a slightly different feel.
Overall, a great value. The guitar is even better with a typical new guitar setup to individual preference and if you wish, some electronic/hardware upgrades; pickups seem fine. I purchased this to have a decent guitar to take with me to places I prefer to not take my Fender/Gibson guitars and this fits the bill perfectly. The biggest disadvantage is the shipping cost to Canada for a single guitar (better if you buy more); however, even with this cost, the guitar is still a good value and worth considering.
Squier Who ?
This guitar is just unbelievable for the money..
Fretwork is perfect just needed polishing.
The neck is so comfortable and smooth.
Pickups, better than squier lol
Quality is amazingly good.
Prefer this over a squier anyday

So where to start...I am totally surprised how good this telecaster is in the positive sense of the word. To begin with, it looks beautiful, there are absolutely no complaints regarding the finish - Everything is in its place. The neck of the guitar is excellent, the frets are beautifully made, the machine holds the tune and looks beautifully vintage. The sound of the guitar is really good for my taste. I tried it on a boss katana 50w and on a harley benton 15 tube amplifier and on some pedals... it really works well, sounds good, looks good and is a pleasure to play. What else do you need? A little setup according to your wishes and that's it. It came as a birthday present for my 47th birthday. I wanted a telecaster without investing too much money. I read other reviews a bit and always came across positive reactions and I said why not try it. And mine is really great. And mine is really great. For now, I have no complaints...It's too early to judge its quality, because I've only had it for a few days. Time will tell, but everything else, kudos to Harley Benton.
My 1st Harley Benton
The hype is true these guitars are very good value for money. Mine arrived within 7 days to the UK and in excellent condition. The guitar played ok straight out of the box but it does need a proper set as the action is to high for my liking, the overall finish on the guitar is good I love the maple neck it feels very smooth. I would definitely try another Harley Benton after my te-62 in lake placid blue.
A Really Nice Guitar For A Really Small Price
I was expecting a very light guitar with the Poplar body. It is heavier than expected but not excessively so. A comfortable weight for me. Out of the box the neck relief was almost perfect and the truss rod nut was just snugged up and not left loose. Action was fairly high but playable, however it needed saddle intonation before it sounded as it should. The fret ends are nicely bevelled and very well dressed for a guitar of this price and I have seen guitars at 4 times the price that needed fret end dressing. The frets crowns were a bit "scratchy", as should be expected for a lower priced guitar, but a few bends on the strings smoothed them out. The nut slots were cut nicely and to just the right depths. All screws were properly tightened and the scratchplate is neatly cut and smooth on the edges. The finish is flawless and the dark roasted maple neck with satin finish is lovely to play on. The neck pocket in the body is as tight a fit as I have seen on any guitar of this type. The tuning machines are smooth and positive. The bridge is of perfectly good quality and I was able to get quite good intonation using the non-compensated vintage type barrel saddles. Absolutely no need to think about upgrading pickups. These Roswell ones are "vintage" in output strength, but sound very good. The only thing I will change are the cheap quality vintage "butterfly" style pressed metal string trees. The plating is flaking and they are a bit angular on the undersides. I will replace them with ones that are more smoothly rounded on the undersides. This guitar sounds very resonant unplugged and provides a full range of sounds from the pickups when plugged in. The tone and volume controls only really work within the 10 to 5 range and changes are quite sudden during those settings, but this is quite standard on lower priced guitars. They are usable though, and feel nice and smooth to roll. An excellent guitar for the price, and still a very good guitar if it was more than twice the price.
What a bargain!
The best Tele I've ever owned - on a par with guitars I have played at at least 4 times the price. Really good sound from the Roswell pickups. Stays in tune perfectly too.
