Te-62 as a beginner

Beautiful finish and looks, but for me as a beginner impossible to get in tune. High action and after some adjustments i had a terrible fret buzz. Takes me to much time, going to send it back. I have a second hand Guild starfire setup and bought from a luthier. So problem is I’m comparing it to that perfectly tuned guitar.
