Harley Benton TUBE15 Celestion 5-stars Reviews
Sweet sound
I’m a fairly new player and wanted a nice clean sound, amp is well built, looks great in the cream, the 1W feature is great for practicing at home volume levels.
Really pleased with the amp I would recommend one, my only criticism would be the reverb isn’t that great I don’t really get much reverb even at maximum.
So far so good!
Not much to say. A proper amp for an incredible price
Brilliant
Great small beast. I didn't expect much for that price but now I can't be happier. Not only does it sound great (beautiful clean tones), but it is also so pretty that my girlfriend lets me keep it in the living room.
Great thing
Even in reduced power mode, it is very noisy, do not buy in small apartments. And so the product is very good
Best value tube amp ever!
Fantastic sound, unbeatable tone for the price, sounds as good as my Fender Deluxe
I like it! (Топ за Ñвои денÑги!)
Perfect for the money! Recommend.
Amazing
Best value for money for a tube combined amplifier
Thanks
100 % quality !!!!
Very fast delivery.
Good quality product.
Good value for money for a tube combined amplifier
Thks.
Punches well above its price point
Really, really love this little amp. I've had it a while now and honestly really rate it highly. I swapped the V1 tube for a 12AY7 for a bit less break up and it sounds fantastic. Nice cleans with the guitar volume rolled down with nice crunchy overdrive when needed. Only negative on this amp is the polished face plate - makes the numbers and names on the dials virtually impossible to read but it is minor.
What a beautiful amp
I'm really impressed. Been playing all night on:
Casino, Sheraton, Les Pauls (P90's humbuckers) Strat, Tele.
Man, it makes all the guitars sound so classic with all pots on 12o'clock.
Adjusting the eq knobs is so sensitive. The Gain knob is the most sensitive. Clean sounds can be done with next to no gain, but this amp loves being cranked just a little. Superb cleans playing quietly, full rock playing loudly - no riding the guitar's volume.
If you own any 40w Fender, sell it, and buy one of these.
Simply a top top amp.
Great home amp
Great home amp with 15W or 1.5W options (which are both great for your home playing).
Best plus: it has an effects loop which is something you don't find fast.
Unfortunately it does not take effect excellent (but what you expect for this size and price).
Just use without effects and use the on board drive and reverb and you're good to go for a lot of fun!
Amazing value
I can't imagine a better entry to the world of tube amps. It arrived well protected, with everything in order. Great tube vintage sound, and more powerful than I imagined. Good for playing at home, but will also work for practicing in a band or playing at small venues.
If you're into this sort of thing, the amp can also be modded down the line: you could replace tube for better quality ones, improve electronics, etc. but the amp as it comes is already excellent.
No negative remarks at this price, stunning value.
best combo amplifier
the combo amplifier is worth its money, but it is advisable to replace the lamps, but otherwise everything is playable and worthy.
Unbelievable value for money
Stunning little amp. Has a presence and volume far beyond what the 15w rating suggests.
Best amp I used yet
I can say just one thing, this amp sounds brilliant. Doesn't matter if I tune my guitar standard E or drop C, play heavy metal or pop-rock, it just works perfectly. I used tons of amps from Blackstar through Fender to Marshall, both modelling and transistor amps but with this amp I found what I wanted. It's full tube, small so I can carry it easily and after a while it's easy to dial a tone you want to hear. In price/value range you will never find anything better than this amp.
little funk machine
Honestly, its better than my Blues Junior. Great for old-school rock and funk tones. Really really like this little amp.
Top of the Pops
Well packed .. tracked all the way .. great communications ...
The Amp ... the construction is good but the sound is amazing ... it makes me smile 😊
UK buyers ..don’t be put of by the UK TAX .. it very straight forward .. you get a message from the carrier asking for payment .. pay online .. and that’s it .. no problem.
Delivered to Russia very quickly (7 days from the date of order). The amplifier was received, connected, played. It takes a little warm-up, the sound changes for the better. Chic clean sound, "gain" is enough for my sound preferences. Loud enough even in the 1W position. I did not raise the volume above 2 units, I'm afraid the neighbors will not appreciate it =)
There is a slight scuff on the glossy panel near the middle handle. the rest of the appearance is beyond praise
I would like to express my special gratitude to Aleksejs Lisovecs for their help in solving my questions.
Tube15
In general I am satisfied with that guitar combo!
I have tested it with Ibanez with HH(EMG) pickups, Fender player strat and DAngelico Premier Bedford; conclusion was that tube15 gain hates humbuckers (cleaner sound is good) so Ibanez was not very good; Fender player silngle coils sound awsome with both cleaner sound and gain; Dangelico Bedford was good after you pull tone knob to swith to single coil. General conclusion is that its very good amp by it self, but not very great for harder music genders. Maybe with better speaker it will be improoved.
I havent tested it with pedals yet, probably it will sound even better.
You gotta be kidding me
For the price this thing cannot be beat.
It's a great little amp for bedroom practice, practice with your band, and I think it can handle small gigs no problem, if there was any gigs these days, you know. It handles playing with a drummer no sweat. It's feature packed to the brim, it's cheap, it sounds great, it looks cool, it's small and easy to carry - what else do you want it to do, make coffee for you?
Enough of that, though. There's enough praise being sung to this amp, so I'll concentrate on the negatives instead.
- First, the build quality begs the question of whether or not this thing can handle the live work. That tiny power transformer can barely manage the load and gets really hot really fast, all that heat coupled with the heat off the tubes cooks the PCB and its SMD components. So far so good though.
- The power tubes are biased cold, or so I've heard, and I'm not sure that I'm allowed to open the guts and set it right with the bias pot without losing the warranty.
- The stock speaker leaves a lot to be desired. There's this harsh top end to it, which cannot be EQed out by the tonestack. But throwing a, say, used Greenback in would improve the sound drastically.
- A few days ago the amp began to oscillate, I've swapped V3 for V1 and vice versa, and it's fine again. Guess the noname V1 tube has gone bad in two months of use, but it pulls the phase inverter duty well enough for now. That helped with the hum, too, there's less of it now. Looks like I'm buying new 12AX7s. The power tubes are Russian-made 6p14p, no complaints here.
- The reverb wire goes through the hole in the chassis without a grommet, the edges of that hole are sharp and can cut into the insulation. That's easy enough to fix tho.
- The power cable is very short, a meter or so in length, and if you want to swap it for another, it's time to reach for your soldering iron. Guess these IEC C14 sockets cost a fortune. Still, it's a very minor issue, trivial to get around.
- There's no standby switch. Big deal.
I think I've covered everything negative that I know about this amp. And there's not that much of it, especially considering the amount of positives to it. A good buy, this amp rocks.
