Harley Benton TUBE5 Celestion Reviews
Great little tube amp
No need for an expensive boutique tube amp for home practice when this little amp sounds so great for such a reasonable price. Very happy with it :)
UK buyers note that it comes with a molded EU plug wired directly to the amp rather than a kettle lead, which would have been easier to switch.
This is my life saver
So, a real tube amp, a real tube amp sound, quiet for a late night room playing in a paper thin walls in an apartment.
Has a little bit of harsh high end, but, an active tone pot, so, dial it back to 9 o'clock solves this problem.
I could have my 50W single channel Marshall with Orange 212 for my gigs, but this for a real tube sound for real in house practice.
Cheap home amp
This is cheapest new one tube amplifier on m markt at this moment. Absolutely worth this price, especially as a first one. You can mod this amp exchanging speaker for Jensen speaker or exchange lamp.
I am happy by this amp.
It does pain to write about such a thing...
Why somebody would produce such a thing I wouldn't know. I didn't imagine such poor sound can come from an amp. It is an ugly little thing that makes a tin can sound, painful to the ears and heart. The attenuator is a joke, the tone regulator is a joke. Ouch, what a miserable thing!
Must to have!
This is simply best investment into tube amps that can be made. The model is rooted strongly in tweed tradition at the same time it delivers sound that is unheard at this price range. The responsiveness is what really stands out for me right next to well balanced tone that showcases benefits of 5W tube pairing with 8'' speaker - tone is already focused and its easier to mix. The fact that it has attenuator is really cherry on the top. It accepts pedals with grace :)
As I wrote in the title - a must to have!
