Worth every penny - but read carefully!

I'm a guitarist who wanted a ukulele to see how I liked the instrument so I ordered this, I chose Concert over a Soprano because I prefer the slightly warmer sound and larger range if I ever wanted to use it. I've played ukulele's before but never owned one, here's what I liked and what I didn't: The Pros: - The sound is awesome, exactly what I was looking for! - The setup out of the box was excellent and it was very playable (this is rare in this price point in my experience) - It looks beautiful - The cheap case is a nice addition The cons: - The fretboard was really dried out, but a little bit of lemon oil fixed that - Kept losing tune initially, but once the strings are stretched out it holds tune ok but needs a slight adjustment after every session, nothing extreme - Intonation beyond the 12th fret is not accurate, but only +15 cents so it's not terrible - Frets are really rough and need to be polished, but can be done yourself Overall a super purchase, for the money I'm very happy with it. For most people and use cases, this is an excellent Ukulele for the price!

Nice Birthday present.

I bought it as a B Day gift for my drummer. She was extatic about it. I lived with it for a week, and what I did notice is that it doesn't hold the tuning very well. I did tighten the screw but it didn't help all that much. I mean it is a 20€ instrument so one can't expect much. It comes with a nice little gig bag, so that is a plus. If you're looking for a cheap instrument to try out, to start your kid in music or as a birthday present, it is an overall a nice instrument.

AWESOME SOUND FOR THE PRICE

Sensational quality for the paid price. Still paying it after some time and always happy with the results. Specially appropriated for teaching young children to play an instrument.

Perfect for beginners

Wanted to learn to play a string instrument during the global lockdown. This ukulele is the best deal I could’ve gotten. One year on and I still love the sound for a casual play time. Would continue to use it if I didn’t go for an upgrade. 10/10 would recommend.

Good value for price ukulele

This Harley Benton concert ukulele is a good instrument for its price range. Though the sound is good and feels solidly built when I have played it, it may not hold for rougher handling/touring or outdoor playing for a prolonged timespan. For me, it seems more fit for indoor playing, although I have not tested it in other conditions.

The body of the ukulele feels sturdy and it plays in tune, but the wood feels slightly unpolished and rough. This however does not seem to impact the tone and sound. The frets sticks out a tiny bit from the fingerboard, but this does not impact playing like it would have on a guitar, because the side of your index finger does not touch the fingerboard when playing ukulele. The tuning pegs also feels sturdy and hold the tuning reasonably well, even after the first tuning, although may go off tuning with big temperature changes.

This ukulele seems to project more than a regular ukulele, but not overly so. The sound is strong, the timbre is maybe somewhat darker than a normal ukulele, but the differance is minimal. The strings that come with does however seem flimsy, so they might need changing after some time of playing, maybe a year or two. Strings in a stronger material would probably make the instrument speak more, but if you prefer a more soft and mellow tone the original strings will work, as they seem to be in a softer material.

All-in-all it is a good intrument in its price range, and a good pick for your first ukulele and for the home studio, but perhaps not for professional touring gigs.

exelent

everything is fine! Most of all, the quality of the wood processing and the matt varnish finish are pleasing.

Fun little instrument

Got it as a little gift for my wife and I find myself playing it around the house all the time.

The strings needed stretching and kept going out of tune for 3 days, but it's a fun little thing to play around the house. My house has been full of music ever since I got it. Very satisfied!

Would I use it for a recording? Probably not. Does it make your life 200% more fun? Absolutely.

Love this little thing!

Can't really complain about this for the price. other than some rough frets. Nothing can compare to this at this price.

Can't beat this price

Looks great, sounds pretty good. I deducted a star because it doesn't seem to keep in tune for very long. But maybe I overstretched the strings and the problem should go away when I change them. I would buy it again and would recommend it to any beginners.

A great instrument for a beginner

I bought this almost as a toy for my 2 year old girl, but ended up playing it a lot myself. The tone is nice and bright, and for the price it's an awesome instrument. The intonation is OK too, although the action could be lower. Overall, a great instrument for a beginner and you cannot beat this price.

Cheap uke for starters

Bought this uke because it was cheap and because Harley Benton products are often the best choice for trying something out. This HB UK-11C is no different. I wanted something I could grab and play a bit in the living room and it delivered. Good playability despite cheap hardware. Reasonable tone tho' nowhere near that of a high quality uke. Main thing for me is - I can't stop picking it up and playing it. Already am writing songs using it and am really enjoying this little beauty. It is not the best uke in the world. But at the pricepoint it is a great option if you want to try out the ukulele.

for teaching children

I bought ~ 10 pcs. for teaching children to play. Inexpensive, good looking, it’s fun to hold in your hands. Easy to tune.

For smaller children I buy soprano ukuleles.

This may be first child's personal musical instrument :)
