Harley Benton UK-12 Black 4-stars Reviews
Simple Uke
This is a simple made ukelele, but it works fine. Recomended for begginers.
Good Beginners Instrument
This Uke is a great beginner instrument. I bought this when I was still deciding if I wanted to persue learning Ukulele. I would recommend this product for young kids and as a 1st Ukulele.
Good for beginners
Quality is good, looks good. If you play with a good strum, it sounds great.

Good option for an entry-level ukulele
I would recommend this ukulele to people learning to play, if they are not sure whether they would like to play ukulele in the future, I think this is a good option.
Good first ukulele
Bought it for my 3 y.o. daughter. String must be changed immediately, don't forget to order them.
Of course there are a few issues (e.g. dust under lacquer), but nothing crucial. This is very cheap instrument, so many things can be forgiven.
IMHO it sound better than you expect for this price.
Pros:
Price-quality ratio
Cons:
None (actually finish and strings but It might be a crime to expect something better for this price).
value for money, good enough sound
When you just need to have a ukulele, it's the best option. I used it not only for learning and playing, but also for recording purposes, for which it did the job perfectly.
Cons : It doesn't have a deep or resounding sound, as expected, and sometimes it may have tuning issues( it may be well tuned when you play open strings but when you play closed ones it seems not tuned), which could normally be resolved by putting new strings.
Overall, a value for money option for new players or musicians wanting to have a uke in their arsenal.
Bargain Starter Uke
If you just want to get yourself something to get started on the ukulele this is a great instrument to get off the blocks. As always with such economy instruments they lack the finesse of more expensive instruments, but 'you get what you pay for'. Be prepared to accept some imperfections to the finish, other than that a sound and 'true' instrument.
Birthday present for my girldfriend
My girlfriend always talked about how much she likes ukulele, so i figured I'm going to give her this rather inexpensive one for her birthday. I was really sceptical when I ordered it, because the price was just too good to be true for an instrument.
It turned out, it's really just harley benton back at it. Sure, it's not really comparable to the some of the big names out there but seriously for that price... there's nothing even in the 50¤ range from other brands that I like as much which is really weird.
Pros:
- rich tone
- nice playability
- that unbeatable pricing
Cons:
- although very good playability, the frets are kinda sharp on the edges
- the tuners are cheap
- some small impurities in the finish
All in all, this was just meant to get her into playing an instrument, but I'm really impressed by the price to quality ratio on this thing. It's worth every buck, and the next ukulele I'm gonna buy her will be a harley benton as well.
a very good uku for a start
it looks very cool and sounds ok, there is a little buzz sounds on the last hight notes but its not a big deal
Fun little ukulele
Fun little instrument with a price you can't beat. For this price ukulele is solidly build and it sounds decent. I particularly like the vintage tuners that look so cool even though it doesn't stay in tune.
I bought it together with a black acoustic so my 2 year old son gets the same guitar as daddy :-) but I can't seem to put it down for some reason. The is something nice about playing an ukulele.
Use: practice, fun
Pros: price, looks cool
Cons: tuners - doesn't stay in tune
Great value
Great value for the price. Tuners needed lubrication (WD40), still a bit cranky, will try grease or vaseline later. Arrived in 4 days during Christmas rush, so I'd give 6 stars for delivery. Perfect tool to jam with my roommate whenever we want to.
A nice ukelele to play around with. It quickly goes out of tune, but I will try to replace the strings with some better ones soon.
Besides the tuning problem, it is a decent sounding and playing ukelele for a razor sharp price. The overal quality was fine, no sharp frets on my ukelele.
Harley Benton UK-12 Black
A nice starter ukulele, products the sounds you would expect it to, and the finish is good quality. Bonus is also a gigbag so its very good for a starter player. For everything else aside that Im afraid you should spend some more money on something a bit more higher quality. If you re looking for something just to fool around with, then this is more than enough to keep your friends entertained.
Excellent value - good for kids and adults
I purchased this for my kids (5 and 2) to play around on. I didn't want to spend much in case it got broken but didn't want to be buying a toy prop. This ukulele does exactly what I wanted, I can tune it and play it for them easily. The finish is good so I don't have to worry about little hands getting nicked when they play with it. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about ukuleles but it sounds good to me. I've only had it a few weeks and it already got a big scratch from being left out on the floor, had I spent more I'd have been annoyed.
In summary, good value ukulele that I'm happy to play as well as let small kids play with.
most fun you can have for the price
I bought this one night after coming home from the pub, and it is the best drunken decision I have ever made.
As for build quality, I have two over-zealous young cousins who constantly give it a thorough quality check, and it has so far not shown up a single scratch. the black finish is perfectly painted, and all the frets and are nicely cut.
I am not much of a ukulele enthusiast, but it sounds lovely to my ears, what's an added bonus is how easy it is to pick up and play.
I have deducted a star because it's only flaw is that it doesn't hold tune, requiring to be tuned almost every time its played. but other than that? nothing. absolutely brilliant.
Cheap and good
This Instrument is very Cheap, but i have search about, and what i find is the best for the less Money. The ukulele sounds good after then tune and it have a nice look.
The neck is nice to play and the polish is orderly accomplished. The Strings are not so good they like the rest of the cheap strings of a classical guitar. But then you buy new one it is a nice instrument. I buy it just for fun to play a little song at the Camp fire ore after a long jam session. Its funny to play and a item anywhere to pack.
If you want an Ukulele and pay less money than Buy this Ukulele.
I hope its helpful and i think its wasn't a fail buy,
Greetings and let it Rock.
